본 논문은 중국어 소설인 畢飛宇(삐풰이위)의『虛擬』를 한국어로 번역하고, 번역 과정에서 나타난 오류와 번역 기법에 대해 분석하였다. 작가 삐풰이위는 중국을 대표하는 현대 작가로서 그의 소설은 전통과 현대를 교차 묘사하여 현실의 내용을 투영시키고 있다. 또한 그는 문화대혁명과 수직상승한 경제성장의 격동기를 경험한 세대로서 사회변동과 인간의 삶, 심리에 대한 묘사를 전면적이고 세밀하게 진행하고 있다. 소설『虛擬』또한 중국 문화, 혹은 교육제도가 인간에게 미치는 영향을 보여주고 이를 통해 상이한 교육제도 하에서 삼대, 즉 세대를 잇는 가족 간의 사랑과 애증을 묘사하고 있으며 이를 통해 현대 중국의 사회상을 보여주고 있다 하겠다. 이와 같은 배경 하에 본고는 서론에서 연구배경과 방법, 작가 및 작품을 소개하고 본론에서는 소설『虛擬』를 번역대상으로 A언어인 중국어 텍스트를 B언어인 한국어로 번역하였다. 그리고 무엇보다 번역과정에서의 오류를 원문과의 대조를 통해 분석하였다. 결론에서는『虛擬』에 대한 문학적 가치와 번역에 대한 새로운 인식과 이해를 간략히 논하였다. 주제어: 畢飛宇, 虛擬, 중한번역, 번역오류분석. A Translation Study on Bi Feiyu's The Virtuality in this paper, and the author translated Chinese novelist Bi Feiyu's The Virtuality into Korean and applied translation theory to the analysis of the translation errors in the process of translation. Bi Feiyu is a famous Chinese contemporary writer whose novels are themed with real life and aim to reveal social problems. At the same time, he is also good at describing all kinds of characters. Like child, woman, old man, father and son and so on. As a human who was born in 1960s, Bi Feiyu had ever experienced the Cultural Revolution and economic transition of China. Against such background, his descriptions of different perspectives are draw from this real life experience. The introduction begins with the research background and the research methods as well as the writer and his works. Also analyzed the social issues in The Virtuality. In the Principal Argument, The Virtuality was translated from the original language of Chinese into the target language of Korean. And the most important is that focusing on the errors appeared in the process of translation, compared and analyzed the overall of translation.
