In this study, an edge device that monitors the injection molding process by measuring the mold vibration(acceleration) signal and the mold surface temperature was developed and evaluated its performance. During injection molding, signals of the injection start, V/P switchover, and packing end sections were obtained through the measurement of the mold vibration and the injection time and packing time were calculated by using the difference between the times of the sections. Then, the mold closed and mold open signals were obtained using a magnetic hall sensor, and cycle time was calculated by using the time difference between the mold closed time each process. As a result of evaluating the performance by comparing the process data monitored by the edge device with the shot data recorded on the injection molding machine, the cycle time, injection time, and packing time showed very small error of 0.70±0.38%, 1.40±1.17%, and 0.69±0.82%, respectively, and the values close to the actual were monitored and the accuracy and reliability of the edge device were confirmed. In addition, it was confirmed that the mold surface temperature measured by the edge device was similar to the actual mold surface temperature.

Purpose & Method: Based on a large amount of research concerning the recognition of local residents in an era of an increasing number of multi-cultural families, this study aimed to provide fundamental data for program development and policies. As well, the data was stratified based on understanding of multi-cultural society, recognition of multi-cultural families, and social and economic adaptability of multi-cultural families. Result: The available literature supports the view that an understanding of a multi-cultural society and recognition of multi-cultural families encourages an emphasis on maintaining ethnicity and respect for diverse cultures. Parental approval for friendships with members of multi-cultural families tends to be encouraged, although there is still resistance to marital ties with such families. The literature indicates that immigrant women participate in economic activities of their adopted locale and adapt to the new societal structure. A positive correlation between recognition and interests in social and economic adaptiveness was apparent. Conclusion: Findings of the study suggest that complement, development, and application of realistic programs and institutional policies are required to understand multi-cultural families and establish a multi-cultural society. Ongoing research will be valuable in resolving outstanding questions and clarifying political alternatives.

낸드 플래시 메모리를 위한 CLOCK 알고리즘 기반의 효율적인 버퍼 교체 전략

최근에 낸드 플래시 메모리는 빠른 접근속도, 저 전력 소모, 높은 내구성 등의 특성으로 인하여 차세대 대용량 저장 매체로 각광 받고 있다. 그러나 디스크 기반의 저장 장치와는 달리 비대칭적인 읽기, 쓰기, 소거 연산의 처리 속도를 가지고 있고 제자리 갱신이 불가능한 특성을 가지고 있다. 따라서 디스크 기반 시스템의 버퍼 교체 정책은 플래시 메모리 기반의 시스템에서 좋은 성능을 보이지 않을 수 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 플래시 메모리의 특성을 고려한 새로운 플래시 메모리 기반의 버퍼 교체 정책이 제안되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 디스크 기반의 저장 장치에서 우수한 성능을 보인 CLOCK-Pro를 낸드 플래시 메모리의 특성을 고려하여 개선한 CLOCK-NAND를 제안한다. CLOCK-NAND는 CLOCK-Pro의 알고리즘에 기반하며, 추가적으로 페이지 접근 정보를 효율적으로 활용하기 위한 새로운 핫 페이지 변경을 한다. 또한, 더티인 핫 페이지에 대해 콜드 변경 지연 정책을 사용하여 쓰기 연산을 지연하며, 이러한 새로운 정책들로 인하여 낸드 플래시 메모리에서 쓰기 연산 횟수를 효율적으로 줄이는 우수한 성능을 보인다.

Background and Objectives:Profound hearing los can be folowed by the process of chronic otitis media. The aim of the study is to evaluate management options in cochlear implantation in patients with chronic midle ear disease. Materials and Method:Two senior authors performed a total of 367 cases of cochlear implantation from November 1988 to August 2003. Among these, nine patients with chronic middle ear disease received cochlear implantation. The medical records and radiological findings were reviewed retrospectively. Results:Of these nine patients, three patients with active inflammation underwent two open cavity and one closed cavity tympanomastoidectomy. Cochlear implantation was followed after a 3 to 6 months interval. Six patients who had undergone a prior tympanomastoidectomy showed no active inflamation. Two of these patients (case 4, 5) months interval. Another four patients had well-obliterated mastoid cavity by previous surgery, and received cochlear implantation as a single-stage procedure. To date, no patient has experienced postoperative wound problems. Conclusion:It is mandatory to secure an infection-free ear before implantation. Two-stage procedures must be performed if there is any doubt concerning the eradication of disease. It is also essential to create a strong protective layer of tissue capable of covering the electrode array

수서곤충을 이용한 탐진강 수계의 수질평가

This study was conducted to evaluate the biological water quality by aquatic insects community analysis in Tamjin river system. The total taxa of aquatic insects was identified in all sites 93 species. 71 genera, 37 families in 9 orders: In summer, 57 species, 43 genera, 24 families, 9 orders, in autumn, 54 species, 41 genera, 25 families in 7 orders, and in winter, 50 species, 41 genera. 26 families in 7 orders were recorded. According to the analysis of biological indices of dominance index(DI), diversity index(H`), pollution index(PI) and biotic index(BI), Water quality of majority in suveyed sites was either oligosaprobic or β-mesosaprobic. It was β-mesosaprobic in all sites except for site 5 in summer. Whereas in autumn, site 5, 6, 7, 10 were oligosaprobic and the rest were β-mesosaprobic. In winter, site 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7 revealed as oligosaprobic, site 10, 11, 12 and 13 as β-mesosaprobic, and site 8 as polysaprobic condition.
