단일칩 제조 기술 등에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 많은 수요가 예상되고 계산량이 상대적으로 적은 복호화기의경우 단일 칩으로 제조되는 등 활발한 개발이 이루어지고 있으나, 방송국, 녹음 스튜디오 등 한정된 수요만을 가지고 있는 부호화기의 경우는 개발이 지연되고 있는 실정이다. 하지만, 실제로 MPEG-2 알고리듬을 방송이나 멀티미디어 시스템 등에 이용하기 위해서는 실시간 처리가 가능한 부호화 및복호화 시스템이 필요하며 계산량이 많은 부호화기를 실시간으로 구현하는 것이 가장 큰 과제라고 할 수 있다[3]~[5]. 본 논문에서는 범용 디지털 프로세서를 이용하여 구현된MPEG-2 계층 2(Layer II) 오디오 부호화 실시간 병렬처리시스템의 성능을 개선하였다. 이전에 제작된 시스템은 각 1 채널의 오디오 신호를 처리하기 위한 Slave 보드 5개와 채널매트릭싱(Matrixing), 비트 할당, 양자화, 비트 팩킹, 그리고PC와의 인터페이스를 위한 Master 보드 1개로 이루어져 있었다[6],[7]. 1 채널의 서브밴드 분석과 심리 음향 모델 처리를 담당하는 Slave 보드는 2개의 DSP를 사용하고 있으며, 서브 밴드 분석과 심리 음향 모델 분석이 끝난 각 채널의 데이터를 함께 묶어서 처리해야 하는 비트 할당과 양자화 과정, 그리고 비트열 포맷팅 작업을 담당하는 Master 보드는 1개의 DSP로 구성되어 있었다. 이전 시스템에서의 문제점은전반적인 하드웨어의 구조는 문제가 없었으나 마스터 계산능력이 부족하여 낮은 비트율만 지원할 수 있었다. 따라서하드웨어 구조는 그대로 유지하면서 마스터 보드를 재설계하여 계산능력을 향상시켰고 소프트웨어적인 성능 향상을 개선된 시스템은 다채널 처리의 확장된 역할을 수행하기 위해Master 보드에도 DSP를 2개 사용한 동시에 연산 처리 능력을 확장하기 위해 기존의 33MHz CPU뿐 아니라 최대50MHz CPU의 사용도 고려하여 설계하였다. 추가된 1개의 DSP에서는 다채널 비트 할당 과정만을 전담하도록 하였다. 또, 구성된 시스템 내에서 높은 비트율로 다채널 부호화가 가능하도록 몇가지 고속 알고리듬을 적용하였으며 메모리범용 DSP를 이용한 MPEG - 2 오디오 부호화기김 성 윤·오 현 오·윤 대 희김성윤, 오현오, 윤대희 : 연세대학교

Ankylosing spondylitis is the prototype of seronegative spondylarthrities. It is mainly an articular disease which shows spinal symptoms and is known to accompany extra-articular manifestations which may affect all the systems of the body: prostate, eye, lung, cardiovascular, kidney, nervous system, and bowels. The pathogenesis of anlylosig spondylitis is uncertain, but there is some evidence that environmental factors play a role. Klebsiella, for example, are suspected to evoke an abnormal cross reaction with HLA-B27 antigen. The etiology of primary hyperparathyroidism is also unknown. The action of excessive parathyrlid hormone on the bone and kidney usually results in hypercalcemia, the biochemical hallmark of the disease. In most patients, it is now detected by routine measurement of serum calcium. While most atients are relatively asymptomatic, some have symptoms and signs related to hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, or osteitis fibrosa cystica. Single gland involvement (adenoma) appears in 80% of the patients, multiple gland involvement (hyper-plasia) in 20%, and less than 2% are carcinomatous. A 32-year-old male patient was diagnosed and has been treated as HLA-B27 positive ankylosing spondylitis, On routine examination, the appearance of hypercalcemia led us to suspect primary hyperparathyroidism. Radioimmunoassay was conducted two times to detect serum parathyroid hormone levels, while 24-hour urine calcium and phosphorus level tests, an ultrasono-graphic exam, and other tests were done for the diagnosis. A partial parathyroidectomy was perfarment suring neck exploration. The other remaining parathyroid glands were grossly normal. The biopsy specimen consisted of water clear cells with no evidence of fat tissue. There was no recurrence of symptoms or signs of primary hyperparathy roidism after partial parathyroidectomy. The pathologic diagnosis was consistent with parathyroid adenoma. There are some reports of primary hyperparathyroidism and its association with rheumatologic diseases-rheumatoid arthritis, SLE, and scleroderma-but no reports with ankylosing spondylitis. Awareness of other disease coincidence or association with ankylosing spondylitis or primary hyperpatiathyroidism is necessary.

This study deals with the settlement of North Korean defectors and policies to support them. The conclusion is that organized systems should be established to provide North Korean defectors with integrated welfare services because they are going through a very difficult time adjusting to a totally different environment and atmosphere. However, the policies and systems to support them vary every year and they do not get enough benefits because each organization is operated independently. In this situation, the supports can not be provided in a timely manner and the accompanied negative impacts will damage our society like a boomerang. A North Korean defector enters Hanawon and becomes a member of the society after getting 280 hours of basic education. The education is not even sufficient to help them adapt to the society and is even more difficult for them to understand the complicated support systems. Therefore, 「Integrated welfare service system」 should be established to provide North Korean defectors with one-stop services for them to get help they need at one place. 연구자는 새터민의 정착과 지원정책에 관한 연구를 진행하면서 새터민에게도 주민생활복지서비스 통합시스템과 같은 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 제도와 기구가 시급히 만들어져야 된다는 결론과 함께 대안을 제시하였다. 왜냐하면 지금까지 생활했던 환경과 교육 체험 내용과는 판이하게 다른 사회에 적응하면서 우리사회의 일원이 된다는 것 자체가 매우 힘든 일이다. 그런데도 이들을 지원하기 위해 만들어진 제도나 지원 자체가 매년 달라지는가 하면 기관 자체가 독립적으로 움직이기 때문에 마땅히 받아야 할 혜택을 받지 못하는 경우가 다반사이다. 이런 상태에서는 설령 지원을 받는다 하더라도 지원 자체가 적기에 이루어지지 않음으로서 오는 고충은 고스란히 우리사회로 부메랑이 되어 돌아올 수밖에 없다. 탈북자는 하나원에 입소하면 280시간의 교육을 통하여 한국생활에 적응할 수 있는 기초교육을 받고 사회 일원으로 편입된다. 이 교육만으로는 사회적응 할 수 있는 준비 자체도 부족한데 복잡한 지원시스템을 파악하기는 더더욱 어려운 일이다. 따라서 이들이게도「주민생활통합서비스 시스템」과 같은 제도를 만들어 어느 한군데에서 서비스를 원스톱으로 받을 수 있도록 제도를 정비하는 것이 시급하고 필요하다는 결론과 함께 제도 개선방안을 제시하였다.
