        정상면역을 가진 성인에서 발생한 식도 방선균증

        Hyun Soo Kim, Jong Woon Cheon, Min Su Kim, Chang Kil Jung, Kyung Rok Kim, Jae Won Choi, Dong Woo Kang and Sun Young Kim1 Departments of Internal Medicine and Pathology1, DongKang Medical Center, Ulsan, Korea Actinomycosis is a chronic suppurative disease and caused by Actinomycosis species, principally Actinomyces israelii, which are part of the normal inhabitant on the mucous membrane of the oropharynx, gastrointestinal tract, and urogenital tract. It usually affects cervicofacial, thoracic and abdominal tissue. Cervicofacial type has the highest percentage of occurrence with 50%. Actinomycosis frequently occurs following dental extraction, jaw surgery, chronic infection or poor oral hygiene. It may also be considered as an opportunistic infection in immunocompromised patients such as malignancy, human immunodeficiency virus infection, diabetes mellitus, steroid usage or alcoholism. But, actinomycosis rarely occurs in adults with normal immunity and rare in the esophagus. We report an unusual case of esophageal actinomycosis which was developed in a patient with normal immunity and improved by therapy with intravenous penicillin G followed oral amoxicillin, and we also reviewed the associated literature.

        MWCNT 가스센서의 전극 간극 변화에 따른 NOx 가스 검출 특성

        Carbon nanotubes(CNT) has chemical stability and great sensitivity characteristics. In particular, the gas sensor required characteristics such as rapid, selectivity and sensitivity sensor. Therefore, CNT are ideal materials to gas sensor. So, we fabricated the NOx gas sensors of MOS-FET type using the MWCNT (multi-walled carbon nanotube). The fabricated sensor was used to detect the NOx gas for the variation of $V_{gs}$(gate-source voltage) and electrode changed electrode spacing=30, 60, 90[${\mu}m$]. The gas sensor absorbed with the NOx gas molecules showed the decrease of resistance, and the sensitivity of sensor was increased by magnification of electrode spacing. Furthermore, when the voltage($V_{gs}$) was applied to the gas sensor, the decrease in resistance was increased. On the other hand, the sensor sensitivity for the injection of NOx gas was the highest value at the electrode spacing $90[{\mu}m]$. We also obtained the adsorption energy($U_a$) using the Arrhenius plots by the reduction of resistance due to the voltage variations. As a result, we obtained that the adsorption energy was increased with the increment of the applied voltages.

        물체의 윤곽검출을 위한 $8{\times}8$ 방사형 CMOS 시각칩의 설계 및 제조

        CMOS 공정기술을 이용하여 물체의 윤곽검출을 위한 픽셀수 $8{\times}8$의 방사형 구조 시각칩을 설계 및 제조하였다. 일반적으로 시각칩은 광입력의 센싱, 물체의 윤곽검출과 움직임 검출 등을 수행하며 본 연구에서는 물체의 윤곽검출에 중점을 두었다. 방사형 구조의 픽셀 분포는 시각칩이 중심부분으로 갈수록 높은 해상도를 가지게 하며, 이러한 구조는 선택적인 영상데이터의 감소를 가능하게 한다. 또한 윤곽검출을 위한 시각칩에서는 처음으로 적용된 구조이다. 방사형 구조를 형성하는 원주들 사이의 픽셀의 크기차이 때문에 출력전류를 보정해 줄 수 있는 메커니즘이 필요하게 되며, 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 MOS 트랜지스터의 채널의 폭을 스케일링하는 방법을 사용하였다. 설계된 칩은 $1.5{\mu}m$ single-poly double-metal 표준 CMOS 공정기술을 이용하여 제조되었다. A $8{\times}8$ foveated (log-polar) retina chip for edge detection has been designed and fabricated using CMOS technology. Retina chip performs photo-input sensing, edge extraction and motion detection and we focused edge extraction. The pixel distribution follows the log-polar transform having more resolution in the center than in the periphery and can reduce image information selectively. This kind of structure has been already employed in simple image sensors for normal cameras, but never in edge detection retina chip. A scaling mechanism is needed due to the different pixel size from circumference to circumference. A mechanism for current scaling in this research is channel width scaling of MOS transistor. The designed chip has been fabricated using standard $1.5{\mu}m$ single-poly double-metal CMOS technology.

        견과류에서 Ganglioside 분석

        The compositions of gangliosides in Pinus koraiensis S. et Z. (pine nut), Juglans sinensis DODE (walnut), Armeniaca semen (apricot seed), and Prunus dulicis D.A.Webb(almond) were investigated by Folch partition, HPTLC, DEAE Sephadex A-25 column chromatography. Total polar glycolipid was extracted in aqueous phase by Folch-Suzuki method. Extracted glycolipids were separated on HPTLC glass plate in the solvent system (chloroforn : methanol : water containing 0.02% CaC1₂·2H₂0 = 55: 45 : 10, v/v/v). Glycolipids including ganglioside were visualized with resorcinol reagent or orcinol-ferric chloride-sulfuric acid reagent. The amount of total N-acetylneuraminic acid was determined using the periodate-resorcinol method. Pinus koraiensis S. et Z., Juglans sinensis DODE, Armeniaca semen, and Prunus dulicis D.A. Webb contained 0.013, 0.015, 0.050, 0.010 μ㏖ of N-acetylneuraminic acid per 10 g samples respectively. Glycolipids extracted from pine nuts 100 g and apricot seeds 100 g were analyzed on DEAE Sephadex A-25 column (acetate form, 1.3 × 14 ㎝). The gangliosides were eluted with continuous gradient of ammonium acetate in methanol (0 to 0.6 M) and our results suggest that monosialoganglioside exists in pine nuts and disialoganglioside exists in apricot nuts.

        IPS-Empress 도재관의 변연형태에 따른 파절강도에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to compare the fracture strength of the IPS-Empress ceramic crown according to margin types such as bevel, shoulder, rounded shoulder, shoulder with bevel, rounded shoulder with bevel and bevel with groove. After 10 metal dies were constructed for each group, the IPS-Empress ceramic crown were fabricated and each crown was cemented on each metal die with Bistite resin cement. The cemented crowns mounted in the testing jig were inclined 30 degree and universal testing machine (Zwick 1456 41, Zwick Co., Germany) was used to measure the fracture strength. The obtained results were as follows : 1. The fracture strength of the crown with rounded shoulder was the highest of all. The mean fracture strength was 484N in rounded shoulder, 357N in bevel, 341N in rounded shoulder with bevl, 300N in shoulder with bevel, 280N in shoulder and 275N in bevel with groove. 2. The fracture strength of rounded shoulder was statistically different from those of shoulder with bevel, shoulder and beve41 with groove. 3. In the strain at fracture, there was no significant difference among each group. 4. The fracture mode of the crown was similar and most of fracture line began at the loading area and extended through proximal surface perpendicularly to the margin, irrespective of margin type.

        기판 부근의 자기장이 RF 스퍼터링법으로 증착된 ITO 박막의 특성에 미치는 영향

        Indium tin oxide (ITO) films were prepared using radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering method, magnets were equipped near the target in the sputter to bring the plasma near the target. The effect of magnetic field that brings the plasma near the substrate was compared with that of substrate heating. The effect of substrate heating on the grain size of the ITO thin film was larger than that of the magnetic field. However, the grain size of the ITO thin film was larger when the magnetic field was applied near the substrate during the sputtering process than when the substrate was not heated and the magnetic field was not applied. If stronger magnetic field is applied near the substrate during sputtering, it can be expected that the ITO thin film with good electrical conductivity and high transparency is obtained at low substrate temperature. When magnetic field of 90 Gauss was applied near the substrate during sputtering, the mobility of the ITO thin film increased from 15.2 $cm^2/V.s$ to 23.3 $cm^2/V.s$, whereas the sheet resistivity decreased from 7.68 ${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ to 5.11 ${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$.

        리튬이온전지의 Smart Battery System

        최근 리튬이온전지를 채용한 노트북 PC의 수요는 계속 증가하고 있으며, 노트북 PC용 전지로는 잔존용량과 사용가능 시간을 정확하게 예측하며, 스스로 최적조건으로 충방전을 제어할 수 있는 SBP(smart battery pack)를 많이 채용하고 있다. SBP는 과충전, 과방전 및 과전류로부터 리튬이온전지의 안전성을 확보하기 위한 보호회로부 (protection IC)와 잔존용량 및 사용가능시간 등의 계산을 위한 지능회로부 (smart IC)로 구성되어있다. 보호회로는 충전 및 방전 FET를 이용하여 이상전류를 차단하며, SBS(smart battery system)는 system host, smart battery 및 smart battery charger로 구성되어 있다. 향후, SBP에 사용되는 IC는 저가이면서, 소비전류가 낮고, 소형화가 요구된다. 또한, microcomputer control type의 IC를 사용하고, 최적의 알고리즘을 개발하여 잔존용량 및 사용가능시간을 정확하게 예측할 필요가 있다. 이러한 SBS 기술은 노트북 PC 이외에도 전기자전거, 전기자동차, 전력저장용, 군사분야 등 광범위한 분야에서 사용될 것으로 예상된다. Recently, the demand for notebook PC with lithium ion batteries has steadily increased and consumers require them to adopt a SBP(smart battery pack) able to predict the remaining capacity and the run time of batteries precisely. The SBP is composed of a protection If, by which safety of lithium ion batteries is maintained against overcharge, overdischarge and overcurrent, and a smart IC, which calculates the remaining capacity and the remaining run time. The protection IC shut abmormal current down by using overcharge/overdischarge FET. A SBS(smart battery system) is composed of a system host, a smart battery and a smart battery charger. The smart ICs for SBP will be required to provide a low cost, low current consumption and small size. There will need to develop a microcomputer control type IC and an optimum algorism which is able to predict the residual capacity and the residual run time precisely. SBS will apply to many kinds of industry fields such as an electric bicycle, an electric vehicle, a load levelling and a military.

        소형 2차전지의 재활용

        Recently, used batteries are causing an environmental contamination and a waste of limited resources with increasing demand of portable secondary batteries in market. In developed countries, their governments have legally required the manufacture to collect and recycle the used batteries, so the related companies have formed an organization for collecting the used batteries and they are effectively recycling them. Unfortunately, an infrastructure for collecting and recycling the used batteries are not established at home yet, while volume of the used batteries are increasing. Therefore, we need an effective measure to ensure the recycling of the used batteries as soon as possible. 소형 2차전지의 사용이 급격하게 증가함에 따라 폐전지가 대량 배출되어 환경문제를 야기하고 유한한 자원이 낭비되고 있다. 선진국에서는 법적 ·제도적으로 폐전지의 회수 및 재활용을 유도하고 있으며, 전지관련업계도 폐전지 회수단체를 구성하여 회수 및 재활용에 나서고 있다. 국내도 폐전지의 배출양은 계속 증가하고 있으나 폐전지의 회수 및 재활용을 위한 인프라가 거의 구축되어 있지 않은 실정이다. 따라서, 조속한 시일 내에 폐전지의 회수 및 재활용이 이루어지도록 대책을 마련할 필요가 있다.
