진행성 미분화 림프구성 림프종(DPDL) 및 미만성 조직구성 림프종(DHL)에 대한 복합화학요법

Fifteen patients with stage Ⅲ or Ⅳ diffuse histiocytic lymphoma(DHL) and diffuse poorly differentiated lymphocytic lymphoma(DPDL) were treated with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisolone(CHOP) and other combination chemotherapy regimen, such as IMVP, C-MOPP and CVP regimen. Seven patients (47%) achieved complete remission and and three patients (20%) obtained partial remission. The overall response rate was 67%(10/15). Among eleven patients treated with CHOP regimen, six patients (54.5%) achieved complete remission. In eight patients with DHL three patients (37.5%) obtained complete remission and in seven patients with DPDL, four patients (57.1%) achieved complete remission. The median duration of remission was 9+ months (range; 2+ - 34+ months). The median duration of survival was 13+ months (range; 6+ - 36+ months). The incidence of hematologic toxicities following the chemotherapy were evaluated by ECOG toxicity criteria. The severe heamtologic toxicities(grade Ⅲ or Ⅳ) after the 133 cycles of treatment were as followings, anemia 13%, leukopenia 13% and thrombocytopenia 7%. The therapeutic effects of involving CHOP regimen as the mainstay for therapy of the advanced DHL and DPDL including CHOP and other regimen was substantial. The further elucidation of therapeutic uses of such first or second line regimen, we need more patient accrual and further prognostic stratification of subjects.

한국형 출혈열의 임상경과에 따른 갑상선홀몬의 변동

Fifteen cases of Korean hemorrhagic fever who were admitted Chungnam National University Hospital from October 1981 to December 1981 were analysed on the evaluation of metabolic changes of the thyroid hormones, and thyroid function status in each clinical phase. 1) Serum T₃, T₄ concentration, FT₄I and T₄/TBG ratio were significantly lower (p〈0.001, p〈0.005, P〈0.005, P〈0.001, respectively) than control group in oliguric and early diuretic phase of Korean hemorrhagic fever. With the recovery of illness, abnormal thyroid hormones and thyroid function indices tend to become normal range. But Serum FT₄, TSH anlE TBG concentration were within normal range in all phase of KHF. Thus in Korean hemorrhagic fever, euthyroidism is probably maintained by normal or elevated serum FT₄. 2) T₄/T₃ and rT₃/T₃ rato (p〈0.005, p〈0.005) were increased in oliguric and early diuretic phase of MHF. These results might be explained by decreased peripheral conversion of T₄ to T_3 in oliguric and early diuretic phase.

급성 및 만성 간질환에서 C형 간염바이러스 항체(anti-HCV)양성률

The prevalence of antibody against hepatitis C virus (anti-HCV) was investigated in 331 patients with various liver diseases from April 1992 to September 1992. The presence of anti-HCV was detected by Lucky HCD EIA test in 331 cases and by (Ortho HCV Antibody ELISA test 148 patients) The results are summarized as follows: 1. Overall, antibody to HCV(anti-HCV) was positive in 37(11%) of 331 patients with various liver diseases. 2. 16(11%) of 144 patients with chronic hepatitis, 2(5%) of 37 patients with alcoholic liver disease, 17(22%) of 76 patients with liver cirrhosis and 2(5%) of 38 HBsAg carriers were positive for anti-HCV.None of 12 patients with acute hepatitis, 11 patients with drug induced hepatitis and 13 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma was anti-HCV positive. 3. HBsAg positivity in patients who had anti-HCV was 24%(9/37). 4. A positive correlation was found between Lucky HCD and Ortho HCV test. Of 128 Lucky HCD negative cases, 124 cases were negative for Ortho HCV ELISA and 4 cases were positive for Ortho HCV ELISA Of 20 Lucky HCD positive cases, 11 cases were positive for Ortho HCV ELISA and 9 cases were negative for Ortho HCV ELISA. These results suggest that hepatitis C virus has an important etiologic role in HBsAg negative chronic hepatitis and liver cirrhosis in Korea. The diagnostic value of Lucky HCD EIA test may be slightly better or equivalent to Ortho HCV ELISA test in the diagnosis of Hepatitis C virus infection.

인터넷 트래픽 예측 모형 성능 분석 연구

In this paper, we compare performance of three models. The Holt-Winters, FARIMA and ARGARCH models, are used in predicting internet traffic data for analysis of traffic characteristics. We first introduce the time series models and apply them to real traffic data to forecast. Finally, we examine which model is the most suitable for explaining the long memory, the characteristics of the traffic material, and compare the respective prediction performance of the models. 본 연구에서는 인터넷 트래픽 자료를 예측하는데 사용되는 Holt-Winters, FARIMA, AR-GARCH 모형을 트래픽 예측에 적용하여 각 모형을 성능을 비교하고자 한다. 각 시계열 모형에 대해 소개하고, 트래픽 자료의 특성인 장기기억 특성을 설명하는데 적합한 모형을 알아보기 위해 실제 트래픽 자료에 적용하여 예측 성능을 비교하였다.

각종 암세포주에 대한 Sb-31^(?)의 항암효과

Extracts of P. koreana(SB-Sl_(?)) has been tried as an antitumor agent by traditional medicine practitioner in Korea for the past 30 years. It is a specially prepared extract of P. koreana whose fractions lose efficacy compared to the original mixture. Lee observed substantial antitumor effects and minimal toxicity of SB-31 in sarcoma 180 animal tumor model(unpublished data). For the past 5 ears, there has been dramatic though anecdotal therapeutic outcomes with SB-31 in some advanced stage cancer patients. We evaluated the in vitro antitumor effects of SB-31 against 3 kinds of gastric cancer cells, A549, HeLa and Caski, MCF7, HepG2 and Hep3B and normal mononuclear cells. Cytotoxicity ws evaluated with the Tetrazolium-based colori-metric assay(MTT) after incubation of cancer cells with SB-31. Results; in 3 gastric cancer cells, ID_(50), of SB-31 were 0.16, 0.34 and 0.53mg/ml. Most effective tumor cell kill was achieved after 96 hrs of incubation with SB-31. The ID_(50) values of SB-31 on various cancer cell lines ranged from 0.14 mg/ml to 0.27 mg/ml. Keeping SB-31 ampul in room temperature up to 4 days did not affect the efficacy but the activity decreased after more than 4 days in the ambient temperature. It is concluded that SB-31 is an active antitumor agent without significanct toxicity. The mechanism of action of SB-31 and its toxicity and efficacy should be further evaluated. ◁표 삽입▷ (원문을 참조하세요)

益山地域의 文化遺蹟調査意義

익산지역의 조사연구는 고고미술사의 선각자이신 고유섭선생의 연 구에 의해 일찍이 관심의 대상이 되기 시작하였고 또한 일인학자 금서룡박사의 조사연구에서도 익산지역을 주목해 왔던 사부을 살필 수 있게 된다. 그리고 해방이후에는 이 지역에 대한 조사사업이 주로 황수영박사와 홍사준선생에 의해 계속 추진되어져 많은 연구미적을 오늘날에 남기게 되었고 결과 최근에 와서는 익산지역이우리 고대사에 있어 하나의 중요한 문화적 중심지였음을 추정하기에 이르러 동지역 문화에 대한 보다 집중적인 조사사업을 추진하기까지 이르게 된 것이다.

益山文化圈硏究의 回顧와 展望

원광대학교에 마한 백제문화연구소가 설립된지 꼭 10주년을 맞이하게 된다. 돌이켜 생각해 보면 감회가 새로워지고 한편 뿌듯한 보람 같은 것을 느끼게 된다. 그러나 다시 한번 조용히 생각해 보면 그동안 본 연구소가 발족하여 오늘에 이르기까지 꾸준한 성장을 해올 수 있었음은 먼저 본대학 총장님의 적극적인 지원을 생각하지 않을 수가 없으며 뿐만 아니라 이 분야에 일찍부터 관심을 가지고 연구를 계속해왔던 선학님들의 끊임없는 지도편달의 덕분이라 아니할 수 없어 우선 그 업적에 대하여 감사의 뜻을 표하고자 한다. 그중에도 특히 동국대학교의 황수영박사께서는 본 연구소가 익산문화권을 중심으로 연구, 조사할 수 있는 방향설정을 해주시고 그에 따른 제반 지도를 아끼지 않으셨음을 잊을 수 없다.
