스마트폰을 이용한 위치 기반 정보 공유 SNS 어플리케이션 개발

스마트폰의 사용이 일상화되면서, 그 휴대성에 의해서 소셜 네트워크 서비스(SNS, Social Network Service) 어플리케이션의 사용이 매우 활발하다. 또한 위치 이동에 따른 정보의 활용이 가능한 위치 기반 서비스(Location based Service)의 수요가 확대되면서 SNS와 결합된 형태의 서비스가 스마트폰의 사용성을 향상시키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 위치를 실시간으로 추적하여 이동하는 위치에 따라 작성되어진 SNS를 위한 정보를 자동으로 알려주는 LBSNS(Location Based Social Networking Service)가 가능한 어플리케이션을 구현한다. Recently, as increasing use of smartphone, the development of social network service(SNS) applications is very active because of the mobility of smartphone. In addition, as the demand of the location based service(LBS) supporting mobile information is expanded, LBS combined with SNS improves the usability of smart phones. This paper proposes the smartphone application that provides the information for SNS generated depending on the location, by tracking the user"s location in real time.

Adaptive Transcoding for Object-based MPEG-4 Scene using Optimal Configuration of Objects

In order to transmit multimedia streams over the network with a timely changing channel bandwidth such as Internet, scalable video coding schemes have been studied to represent video in flexible bitstream. Much research has been made on how to represent encoded media(such as video) bitstream in scalable ways. In this paper, we propose an optimal selection of the objects for MPEG-4 bitstream adaptation to meet a given constraint. We adopt a multiple choice knapsack problem with multi-step selection for the MPEG-4 objects with different bit-rate scaling levels in the MPEG-4 bitstream. The bitstream adaptation based on the optimal selection result is then to fetch the necessary parts of the MPEG-4 bitstream to constitute an adapted version of the original MPEG-4 binary resource. The experiment results show that the optimal selection of MPEG-4 objects for a given constraint can promisingly be made which meets the given constraint.

비디오를 활용한 영어 수업의 학습자 반응 연구

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of videotaped instructional materials as a language-teaching aid in the foreign language classroom. A survey questionnaire was administered to analyze students' responses and attitudes towards the course and the benefits of using video materials. Two classes taught by native speakers of English were also observed by the researcher. A total of one hundred and forty students answered the questionnaire regarding their attitudes and interests toward the use of video material. The results of this study revealed that: (1) the two classes taught with the use of video materials had positive attitudes toward learning English; (2) they were generally satisfied with the classes using video materials; (3) they felt using video materials enhanced their cultural understanding as well as their listening and speaking ability, and considered culture as an important part of learning a second language; (4) they regarded the three components such as improving speaking and listening skills, cultural understanding, and improving writing skills as necessary components in learning practical English. Pedagogical implications based on the findings are then suggested.

An Error Analysis of Korean University Students’ Writing

This study primarily aims at identifying and classifying the most frequently occurring error types in Korean university students’ written work. This study will also try to find some ways to prevent those errors by discussing the issue of error treatment. A total of one hundred and fifteen Korean university students participated for two consecutive studies. The writing samples were collected and errors were extracted from native speaker teachers’ error correction of student writing. After the errors were identified, they were analyzed based on a modified linguistic category taxonomy (Dulay, Burt, & Krashen, 1982). In this study, the most common errors were ‘Noun Phrase’ errors, followed by ‘Verb Phrase’ errors. This possibly suggests the existence of interlanguage and implies that the differences in the two language systems or the absence of certain features in L1 (Korean) caused difficulty in their application in L2 (English) in using the correct forms. Pedagogical implications based on the findings are then discussed.

1900년 전후 동북아 3대 전쟁과 군위안소

For the ten years from the end of 19th century to early 20th century, there were three major wars in Northeast Asia such as the Sino-Japanese war(1894-1895), the Quelling War of the Yihetuan Movement(1900-1901), the Russo-Japanese war(1904-1905). While lighting public lives during those three major wars via war reports and related documents, I particularly became interested in sexual issues occurred on the war sites. There were so many prostitutes near the war sites, and the raping incidents were always massively happening and the military authorities were busy to provide prevention of a venereal disease and about military 'comfort'. Therefore, this essay firstly on chapter 1, explains how prostitutes of war sites were supplied via the real stste of affairs of them in Siberia, Manchu, Korea. The chapter 2 analyzed the operation of military comfort stations by military authorities during those three major wars and the actural conditions of the venereal disease control. The chapter 3 revealed the ineffectiveness of military comfort stations on the prevention of raping via real cases during the three major wars. In Northeast Asia, as the Japan opened a port in the mid 19th century, the international movement of Japanese prostitutes was started. During Siberian development by Russia and Chinese Eastern Railway construction and three major wars, the number of prostitutes was surprisingly increased. During the Sino-Japanese war, the Japanese military authorities was troubled to prepare the prevention as the number of venereal disease infected soldier and military porters were increased in an alarming way. Therefore, in some occupation area military authorities selected the existing inlicensed prostitutions to run the regular venereal disease checkout then forced them to manage military comfort. During the Quelling War of the Yihetuan Movement, Russia for Manchu and the Eight Allies for Tianjin established various types of military comfort stations to try venereal disease management to prevent their spread. During the Russo-Japanese war, there was more systematic management based on cumulated experiences of war to prevent venereal disease. However, it was noticeable that the time flows towards the Russo-Japanese war, the Japanese 'military comfort' system or the venereal disease management were getting closer to the military comfort woman system of the Pacific war period. Therefore, via above research, I can reveal the military comfort woman system is not suddenly appeared but is the integrated policy of various trials for military comfort and venereal disease managements during several experiences after the Sino-Japanese war. Also, it was revealed that one of motive to set military comfort stations that is 'prevention of rape' is only for superficial presentation and there were continuous rapes regardless of their establishments.
