      • 錦江産 끄리 (Opsariichthys bidens)에 寄生된 Metagonimus 被囊幼蟲의 脫囊에 關한 硏究

        A series of experiments on the excystation of Metagonimus metacercariae isolated from the fish, Opsariichthys bidens, from Geum river, were carried out using various solutions, different range of pH and different treatment time in vitro. The result were summarized as follows: 1. No excystation of metacercariae were observed in any salt solutions such as a physiological salt solution, Tyrode solution, Tris buffer solution and bile juice. 2. The highest rate of the excystation was 82-92% in intestinal-juice contained 0.8% of trypsin with 45-90 minutes treatment. 3. The rate of excystation was 62-68% in Tyrode-trypsin solution contained 08% of trypsin with 75-90 minutes treatment. 4. The rate of excystation was 76% and 54% in 0.8% Tris-trypsin solution (pH 8.0) with 90 minutes treatment and in 0.8% bile juice with 90 minutes treatment, respectively. In this experiment, it was believed that the most important factor of excystation for the Metagonimus metacercariae was the digestive enzyme such as a trypsin in the intestinal-juice with pH 8.0 and treatment of 90 minutes.

      • 直接螢光抗體法에 依한 고양이의 Toxoplasma 感染 樣相에 關한 調査 硏究

        A study on the direct fluorescent antibody test using the several organ tissues and stamp smear of domestic cats which are the final and favorate host of Toxoplasma gondii, was performed. The organ tissue used was prepared in 6-8μm thickness by frozen section at -20℃ and stamp smear sample was prepared by smear wet mounting. Fluorescein isothiocyanate(FITC) conjugates was diluted by 4 fold, 1:4, 1:16, 1:256 in phosphate buffer saline (PBS, pH 7.2). A total of 35 domestic cats which is being commerced in Jungang domestic animal market, Taejeon, was examined. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. Fluorescent zone of Toxoplasma was mainly part of below microtubuel and cell membrane. 2. Fluorescent reaction was no-fluorescent and non-specific reaction in under the titer 1:4, and in over the titer it was reacted in 16 samples of the tissue organ, 4 sample s of smear. 3. Positive rate of tissue specimen was 8.6% in liver, 5.8% in spleen, lung heart respectively, 2.9% in lymph node. 4. Positive rate of stamp smear specimen was 2.9% in liver, spleen lung, respectively. 5. Among 35 domestic cats, infected domestic cats were indentified to 5 domestic cats, corresponding to 14.3%.

      • 免疫血淸學的 方法에 依한 姙産婦의 Toxoplasma 抗體價分布에 關한 調査硏究

        In order to evaluate the Toxoplasma antibody titers, authors were examined sera of 117 pregnant women by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA), methlyene blue dye test and indirect latex agglutination test. The results were obtained as follows: 1. The ELISA values to the Toxoplasma antibody showed less than 0.200 in 2 cases(1.7%), 0.20 0-0.299 in 13 cases(11.1%), 0,300-0.399 in 29 cases(24.8%), 0.400-0.499 in 143 cases(12.0%), 0.500-0.599 in 26 cases(22.2%), 0.600-0.699 in 19 cases(16.2%), 0.700-0.799 in 6 cases(5.1%), 0.800-0.899 in 7 cases(6.0%), more than 0.900 in 1 case(0.9%), respectively. Regard to positive ELISA values were more the 0.800, positive rates of ELISA were 6.9%. 2. The dye test antibody titers showed less than 1:4 in 70 cases (59.8%), 1:4 in 27 cases(23.1%), 1:16 in 13 cases(11.1%), 1:64 in 6 cases(5.1%), and 1:256 in 1case(0.9%), respectively. Regard to 1:64 or more tilers of diluted sere were positive, the positive rates of dye test were 6.0%. 3. The Toxoplasma antibody titers by indirect latex agglutination test were less than 1:2 in 9 cases(7.7%), 1:2 in 47 cases(40.2%), 1:4 in 27 cases(23.1%), 1:8 in 21 cases(17.9%), 1:16 in 7 cases(6.0%), 1:32 in 5 cases(4.3%), and 1:64 in 1 cases(0.9%), respectively. Regard to 1:32 or more titers of diluted sera positive, the positive rates of indirect latex agglutination test were 5.2% 4. There were correlation between dye test antibody titers and ELISA values(correlation coefficient, r=0.414). The present study revealed that Toxoplasma antibody titers of pregnant women by various immunoserologic methods showed 5.1∼6.9%.

      • 免疫組織化學的 方法에 依한 마우스組織에서의 Toxoplasma 抗原 檢出에 關한 硏究

        This study was performed to identify the Toxoplasma antigens from the mice tissue chronically infected with Toxoplasma gondii Beverley strain by peroxidase-antiperoxidase(PAP) method. The 21 mice divided into two groups, control group (3mice) and cortisone-treated group (18mice). In cortisone-treated group, the mice were injected with 0.5mg of cortisone acetate twice a week for 6 week subcutaneously and 3 mice were sacrified at each week. The brain, lung, heart, liver, spleen, kidney, small intestine and skeletal muscle of mice were removed immediately after death. The removed tissues were fixed with 10% buffered neutral formalin, and then PAP method and H-E staining were done. The results were obtained as follows: 1. The cysts were found in the brain entirely, in the heart at 4 weeks, and in the skeletal muscle at 5 weeks. The number and size of cysts in the brain were increased in proportion to total dose of cortisone acetate in mice. Tachyzoites of Toxoplasma gondii showed at 4, 5 and 6 week in brain. 2. The brain, speen and skeletal muscle showed highly positive immunoreactivity. The liver, heart and small intestine were moderately positive, but lung and kidney showed weekly positive immunoreactivity by PAP method. 3. There were a chronic inflammatory responses in the brain, liver and heart but the remaining organs were almost normal appearance. And tachyzoites were found in the brain, associated with severe inflammatory changes. The present study revealed that tachyzoites and immunoreactivity of Toxoplasma were easily detected by PAP immune complex method.

      • 大田地域 一部女性의 膣트리코모나스感染에 關한 調査硏究

        Studies on Trichomonas vaginalis in 180 obstetics and gynecologic out-patient and 217 prosititues were carried out at Daejeon areas during August to September, 1988. All the vaginal specimens were cultured on las’s casein hydrolysate-serum at 37.5℃ for 10 days. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The prevalence of Trichomonas vaginalis was 13.9% in total examined group. 2. The prevalence of Trichomonas vaginalis was 7.8% in 180 obsterics and gynecologic out-patients and 18.9% in 217 prostitutes. 3. According to age group, the prevalence of obstetrics and gynecologic patients were 10.7%(0―29 age group in years), 9.1% (40―49 age group in years), 5.6% (30―39 age group in years) and 5.3% (over 50 age group in years). 4. According to age group, the prevalence of obstetrics and gynecologic patients were 25.3% (0―29 age group in years), 25.0% (40―49 age group in years) and 11.4% (30―39 age group in years). 5. The most affected age group of Trichomonas vaginalis was 20―29 age group in obstetics and gynecologic out-patients and prostitutes.

      • 고양이의 Toxoplasma 抗體價 測定 및 腸內 奇生蟲 感染에 關한 硏究

        In order to confirm the intestinal helminthes, protozoa and Toxoplasma antibody titers from 41 cats, author performed the autopsy, stool examination, and Sabin & Feldman dye Test. 1. Total infection rates were 68.3%, and double infection rates were 29.3%. From 41 cats, 8 species were identified to Isospora felis(2.4%), Toxocara cati(7.3%), Ancylostoma sp(2.4%), Taenia taeniaeformis(51.2%), Diphyllobothrium mansoni(19.5%), Hymenolepis nana(2.4), Clonorchis sinensis (7.3,%), and metagonmus yokogawai(4.9%). 2. Habored region of each parasites was mainly small intestine, especially duodenum, and only Clonorchis sinensis was harbored in liver and bile duct. 3. Egg occurrence rate was 33.3% (T. taeniaeforis), 66.7(C. sinensis), and 100%(D. mansoni, M. yokogawai, I. felis). 4. Sabin & Feldman dye test titer was positive reaction in 14 cases corresponding to 34.190, and 27 cases were considered as negative.

      • 病院 外來 患者에 있어서의 Toxoplasma 抗體價 分布에 關한 調査 硏究

        The results of Sabin & Feldman dye test for the detection of Toxoplasma antibody titer among 454 hospital outpatients were summarized as follows: 1. Among 454 test sera, 101 cases were positive, the positive rate was 22.2%. 2. According to age group, dye test positive rates were 33.3% (0-9 age group in years), 32.8% (40-49 age group in years), 31.6%(over 60 age group in years), 28.6%(10-19 age group in years), 20.1%(20-29 age group in years), 20.0%(30-39 age group in years), and 18.3%(50-59 age group in years). 3. According medical field, dye test postive rates were high in neurology(40%), pedatrics(37.5%), dermatology (36.4%), and surgery(30.6%) 4. Among 194 obstric and gynecological patients, abortion, anomaly, and retroversioflexion had high Toxoplasma antibody titers, but inflammatory disease, cancer, pregnancy and infertility revealed as relatively same antibody titers.
