This paper is concerned with position control of direct drive robots. The proposed algorithm consists of the feedback controller and neural networks. Mter the completion of learning, the output of the feedback controller is nearly equal to zero, and the neural networks play an important role in the control system. Therefore, the optimum retuning of control parameters is unnecessary. In other words, the proposed algorithm does not need any knowledge of the con¬trolled system in advance. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by the experiment on the position control of a parallelogram link-type direct drive robot.
Rapamycin-Induced Abundance Changes in the Proteome of Budding Yeast

The target of rapamycin (TOR) signaling pathway conserved from yeast to human plays critical roles in regulation of eukaryotic cell growth. It has been shown that TOR pathway is involved in several cellular processes, including ribosome biogenesis, nutrient response, autophagy and aging. However, due to the functional diversity of TOR pathway, we do not know yet some key effectors of the pathway. To find unknown effectors of TOR signaling pathway, we took advantage of a green fluorescent protein (GFP)-tagged collection of budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae . We analyzed protein abundance changes by measuring the GFP fluorescence intensity of 4156 GFP-tagged yeast strains under inhibition of TOR pathway. Our proteomic analysis argues that 83 proteins are decreased whereas 32 proteins are increased by treatment of rapamycin, a specific inhibitor of TOR complex 1 (TORC1). We found that, among the 115 proteins that show significant changes in protein abundance under rapamycin treatment, 37 proteins also show expression changes in the mRNA levels by more than 2-fold under the same condition. We suggest that the 115 proteins indentified in this study may be directly or indirectly involved in TOR signaling and can serve as candidates for further investigation of the effectors of TOR pathway.
乳齒列期와 混合齒列期에서의 口蓋高徑 및 幅徑에 關한 硏究

In the study a palatal height and width were established of 96 (Male 49, Female 47) randomly selected Korean children aged from 3 to 10 years. The results were as follows: 1. At the palate of mesial side of 2nd primary molar, the increasing rate of palatal width is more than that of palatal height, as primary dentition is going over the mixed dentition. 2. At the palate of distal side of 2nd primary molar, the increasing rate of palatal height is more than that of palatal width, as primary dentition is going over the mixed dentition. 3. At all over the age groups, the ratio of palatal height v.s palatal width of the mesial side of 2nd primary molar was greater than that of the distal side of the same tooth. 4. The palatal height and width of the male was generally greater than those of the female.

As jumpers for overhead transmission lines increase in size, it is necessary to take into the characteristics of jumper swing and wind in oder to determine jumper reinforcements adequately. From the theory of a structure made of beams, formulas for the sideway swaying of overhead transmission lines due to wind are modeled. And also natural frequency of the vibrated jumper is estimated to check the system resonance. The theoretical results can be led good sugesstions to improve the economy and reliability of jumper wire.

Linear pulse motor(LPM) has been used in a wide range of application due to many advantages for the precision position and speed control system for the bidirectional linear motion. In this study, the hybrid, single-side type LPM was designed and examined for characteristics of position detection. Precision position detection signals could be sensed by synchronous rectifier method from the LPM stator scale. Experimental results show that the position precisions are good enough to perform the LPM position control.
