        Background : Now a days, popular approaches for anterior circulation aneurysms have always required relatively large craniotomies, many retraction of normal neural structure. Therefore, there are complcations related to the surgical approach. With the improvement of surgical techniques and instruments, diagnostic imaging, we was able to operate the aneurysmal surgery with less retraction of neural structure and with more smaller craniotomies. Methods : During a period of 2 years, 4 aneurysmal surgeries were performed as transciliary orbital roof craniotomy. The surgical technique of this minimally invasive approach was discribed in detail. Results : The lesions treated, comprised 20 anterior communicating, 16 posterior communicating, 5 carotico-opthalmic, 2 carotid terminus and 2 MCA bifurcation aneurysms. Two patients of whom diagnosed as anterior communicating aneurysm developed intraoperative aneurysmal rupture, followed by satisfactory clipping. There were no apporach-related complication. Conclusions : The transciliary orbital roof craniotomy is an alternative procedure to conventional microsurgical approach that is useful in treating anterior circulation aneurysms. It will be an excellent approach for minimally invasive aneurysmal surgery.

        CAN을 활용한 스마트폰 기반 차량 편의장치 제어 서비스 개발

        Multiple convenience features have been getting installed in recently released cars. However, the control of them has many uncomfortable matters yet. To resolve them, it is needed to study how to use easier the convenience features and control them remotely. Currently, wide range of convergence services are being released in various industries by using smartphone and smartphones with its state-of-the-art functions also are being released. In this paper, we design and implement smartphone-based applications for controling the vehicle’s convenience features to control the vehicle convenience features with smartphone. To do this, we configure CAN (Controller Area Network) communication between the vehicle’s various convenience features, and establish MCU (Micro Controller Unit) to control each feature. We also connect between the MCU and smartphones to make them available for the remote control. We can control lights, turn signals, audio, windows, air conditioner,and so on with the implemented smartphone-based control service of vehicle’s convenience features using CAN remotely.

        유무선공유기와 청소로봇을 이용한 홈 모니터링 시스템의 구현

        최근의 홈네트워크 시스템의 경향은 가정 내의 모든 정보가전기기가 하나의 네트워크로 연결되어 기기, 시간, 장소에 구애받지 않고 원격 감시 및 제어 서비스가 이뤄지는 미래 지향적인 가정환경을 포함한다. 또한 청소로봇은 그 사용의 편리성으로 가정에서의 사용이 점점 일반화되고 있는 추세에 있다. 본 논문에서는 홈네트워크 환경하에서 지능형 홈을 위한 하나의 시도로서 자율이동이 가능한 청소로봇을 이용한 홈 모니터링 시스템을 구현하였다. 제안된 시스템은 상용화된 기존 청소로봇에 유무선 공유기와 웹캠을 부착함으로써 기존의 고정 카메라에 의한 홈 모니터링 한계를 극복하여 댁내 모든 곳을 자유롭게 모니터링할 수 있도록 하였다. 사용자는 원격지에서 이동통신기기(PDA 등)를 이용하여 청소로봇을 제어함으로써 사용자가 원하는 곳의 영상을 손쉽게 모니터링 할 수 있게 하였다. 유무선공유기에는 리눅스 운영체제인 OpenWrt를 설치하여 사용자에게 무선으로 영상을 전송하고 RS-232통신으로 청소로봇 제어를 가능하게 하였다.

        무선센서와 마이크로 컨트롤러를 이용한 실내 환경 자동 제어 시스템

        최근에 초고속 네트워크 인프라가 빠른 속도로 발전하고 있어 기존의 가전기기들이 디지털화 되어 네트워크로 연동됨으로써 가전기기들이 원격제어 되어지는 단계로 진화되고 있다. 또한, 홈 네트워크와 초고속 네트워크 인프라를 연동하여 인터넷상에서 가전기기들을 제어하고 모니터링 하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 무선센서와 마이크로컨트롤러를 이용한 실내 환경 자동제어 시스템에 대해서 기술한다. 저전력, Zigbee센서와 무선모듈을 이용하여 실내온도를 측정하였으며, ATmega128 마이크로컨트롤러를 이용해 댁내에 있는 각 장치(온도,조도,습도)등을 사용하였으며 가습기, 선풍기 등을 제어하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 이러한 무선센서와 마이크로컨트롤러의 기반으로 인해 홈 네트워크 분야에서 다양하게 사용할 수 있으며, 홈 네트워크 분야뿐만 아니라 여러 산업분야에서 다양하게 응용할 수가 있다.

        고혈압성 뇌출혈 환자의 뇌실질내 혈종의 화학적 성분 분석 : Preliminary Report

        The authors have analyzed various chemical components of intracerebial hematoma in 20 cerebrovascular accident patienis who were operated at the Department of Neurosurgery, Kosin Medical Center, from October, 1984 to April, 1986. The results show that there are no differences between the levels of sodium and chloride in serum and hematoma, while potassium and phosphorus significantly higher in hematoma, and calcium lower in hematoma. The changes of various chemical components seem not to be correlated with the timing of operation. We are going to discuss the possible explanations of the changes.

        경추간반수핵탈출증에 대한 화학적 용해술의 임상적 연구

        For or many years chemonucleolysis has been proven effective in the curative treatment of lumbar disc herniation. However, this technique is seldom popular in the herniated cervical disc. For several years microsurgery of the cervical disc has been effective in the treatment of refractory cervicobrachial neuralgia. To compete with this method which has been familiar to neurosurgeons. cervical nucleolysis must convincingly demonstrate that its therapeutic value is at least as good as that of surgery. The authors analysed the results of 30 herniated cervical disc pateints who were treated with cervical nucleolysis using chymopapain fcr 1 year. Twenty two pateints(75%) had excellent outcomes. 5 pateints(15%) considered good while 3 sustained their symptom. but showed decreased intensity. The decision to intervene is made when the radiculagia is recurrent or resistant to medical treatment of several weeks duration without myelopathy or bony abnormalities such as spondylosis of canal stenosis. The principal advantages of this method are : short stay in the hospital(3 days to 5 days on average). absence of general anesthesia prompt resumption of previous activities, and long term preservation of an intervertebral space. As a resuit. cervical nucleolysis has been shown to be an effective alternative to surgery for cervical soft disc herniations with refractory radicualgia.

      • 경추부 화학적 용해술 후 6개월째 적외선 체열 촬영을 이용한 평가

        Background Chemonucleolysis with chymopapain has been shown to be an effective alternative to microsurgery for the treatment of cervical disc herniation. This prospective study was designed to evaluate 1-year results in patients with symptomatic cervical disc herniations. Methods Between June 1995 and May 1998, sixty patients underwent chemonucleolysis with chymopapin for herniated cervical disc herniations. In June 1995 the senior author (B.C.J) began a prospective study of all patients who were to undergo cervical chemonucleolysis for cervical soft disc herniations presenting with intractable cervicobrachial pain, confirmed by computerized tomography (CT) and/or magnetic resonance(MR) imaging. All patients were to undertake digital infrared thermographic imaging (DITI) before operation, at 6 weeks and 6 months. Results The male/female ratio was 42:18. The average age was 38.2 years. The clinical success rate was 84% at 6 weeks and 88.2% at 6 months, with no statistically significant difference. The thermographic success rate was 78.3% at 6 weeks and 80.4% at 6 months with no statistically significant difference. Conclusion We suggest that clinical and thermographic improvement after cervical chemonucleolysis could be maintained at 6 months after operation, and DITI could be a very useful technology for good correlation with clinical outcome.
