저자들은 본 병원 산부인과에서 양수과다를 동반한 2명의 경산부에서 분만 수시간내에 사망한 Thanatophoric Dwarfism 2예를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 아울러 보고하는 바이다. Thanatophoric Dwarfism is a short limb dwarf condition which usually results in death shortly after birth. It has been confused with achondroplastic and another congenital short limb dwarf condition. We present two cases of Thanatophoric dwarfism based on clinical, radiological and autopsy findings with review of literatures.
炭素纖維補强 매트릭스 複合體(CFRC)의 物理的 特性(Ⅰ)

In order to examine the physical properties of carbon fiber reinforced composites with the short random carbon fibers, experimental studies of fresh and hardened CFRC were carried out, The types of fiber used are pitch-based carbon fiber and high modulus PAN type carbon fiber. To examine the effects of the types, lengths, constents of CF and matrices, the following two types of CFRC were tested ; air cured CFRC and autoclaved CFRC. According to the test results, it can be concluded that the reinforcement of CF were considerably effective in improving tensile strength, flexural strength and toughness of cement matrices compared to conventional cement mortar.

A complete diallel cross was performed to determine the inheritance of 1,000 grain weight of brown rice and cyanidin-3-glucoside (C3G) content and combining ability of five pigmented rice that showed different level of C3G content. Parents and F₁ of 20 crosses were evaluated for 1,000 grain weight of brown rice and C3G content which extracted from pigmented rice grain with 0.1% trifluoroacteic acid (TFA) in 95% EtOH. For 1,000 grain weight of brown rice and C3G content, both additive and dominant gene effects were detected and the dominance was partial and there were more dominant alleles than recessive ones. Genetic parameters pointed out that there are significant additive and dominant effects and the additive effect is bigger than the dominant one for both grain weight and C3G content. The frequency of negative alleles were higher than positive alleles. Narrow sense heritability estimates were 0.66 for grain weight of 1,000 brown rice and 0.70 for C3G contents. General combining ability (GCA) effects and specific combining ability (SCA) effects were highly significant and GCA effects were drastically higher than SCA ones. It indicates that the inheritance of the C3G contents is controlled mainly by additive genetic factor. A 63-year-old female complained of transient dysarthria. MRA was conducted to evaluate this symptom, revealing distalinternal carotid artery occlusion with collateral vessel development, suggesting Moyamoya disease, which had not beendetected in MRA performed 5 years previously. Vascular risk factors and laboratory findings suggested no cardiac orautoimmune diseases. The diameter of stenosis of the middle cerebral artery on high-resolution MRI was 2.11 mm, andgenetic evaluation revealed mutation of the gene encoding ring finger protein 213 (RNF213). High-resolution MRI andgene studies are useful for distinguishing between Moyamoya disease and atherosclerosis.
