      • 西海岸 古群山 列島와 蝟島 周邊 섬들의 舊海濱 堆積物

        서해안 고군산열도의 장구도, 소야미도, 횡경도, 소횡경도, 치두도, 덕산도 등지와 위도 주변에 있는 딴정금도 등지에는 원력층인 구해빈퇴적층이 현재 최고해수면인 대조시의 고조위보다 1m 정도 높은 구파식대 위에 퇴적되어 있다. 구해빈퇴적층은 적황색토를 매트릭스로 하며, 기반암이 동파되어 사면이동된 주빙하퇴적물이 그 위를 덮고 있다. 또한, 장구도, 소야미도, 횡경도, 소횡경도 등의 섬에서는 최고수위면보다 5-10m 정도 높은 고도에서 각력과 원력이 혼재하여 퇴적되어 있다. 따라서 서해안 무인도서의 곳곳에서는 대조시보다 1m 정도 높은 구파식대의 구해빈퇴적물과 5-10m 정도 높은 곳의 단구퇴적물이 퇴적되어 있다.

        As a result of analysis and comparison of goals and contents on environmental education in geographical education and environmental science education, I have been convinced that there are no difference in goals and contents of two subjects. If we impose environmental science subject upon high school students under the standard of course of general arts, environmental science subject are not independent subject because of nondeviation from interdisciplinary imposition. If we deepen and broaden its contents, students only picks up knowledge. Accordingly I have been convinced that interdisciplinary imposition are more effective beginning from geography subject relative to environmental education. Environmental education in geography treats to study natural environment, human environment, population, industrialization, urbanization, resources and environmental countermeasures except environmental pollution, environmental integrity, environmental sanitation. I have been convinced that we fully reach to goals of environmental education in spite of environment education of interdisciplinary imposition such as geography, being coincident with diminishing kinds of subject, I propose that we can teach environmental education more effective by systematization of contents in chapter of each subject and require to harmonize content system of environmental education by means of not overlapping its contents between each subject.

      • 달천 유역의 단구지형 비교

        This paper aims 13 compare and consider river terrace landform of lower · middle and upper region in Dalcheon river basin. The result of this paper is as follows. First, The difference of river bed altitude between Chungju Basin (lower Dalcheon river region) and Sanaecheon(upper Dalcheon river region) is 230-240m. The difference of river terrace surface and their relative altitube in Dalcheon river Basin is the same as altitude of river bed in the each region. This is different from Namhangang river which the relative altitude (the difference between the river bed altitude and their river terrace altitude) is growing higher and higher as near as upper Dalcheon river region. Second, there are many old river channel in the middle of Dalcheon river. The old river channel in the middle region of the river is curved. But them of the upper river are liner. There are old river channel which are different from the age of meander cutting in the same region. Third, middle river terrace in the lower river region is clear. But higher river terrace in the upper river region is unclear. Forth, river terrace gravel is subrounded because the transportation distance of them is short.

      • 磨劍浦 Tombolo의 成長과 微地形 發達

        I have been concluded as follows by means of field research and many analysis at Magumpo and Gomsum in the western coast of Taean peninsula. * The Sosan Group which was regarded as the Lower Proterozoic strata is a sedimentary metamorphic group consisting mainly of quartzite and quartz-sericite schist. * There are sand beach, sand dune, land-tied island, tombolo, lagoon, marine terrace, reclaimed land, wave-cut-platform, old wave cut-platform and hills on the coast from Magumpo to Gomsum. * Growth of lagoon which tombolo and sand spit wall up the mouth of the bay and tidal current go up and down through tidal channel is characteristic at Magumpo coast. * Wave-cut-platform were formed in front of rocky coast and old wave-cut-platform had been formed over it. At 150m far from Magumpo coast marine terrace are formed. * There are many subangular boulder near the wave-cut-platform and there are many small grain size round gravel and much sand near the land, on outer slope of tombolo shingle beach are formed, inner slope of tombolo sand are deposited. But pocket beach are totally formed. Alternating sand and mud are horizontally formed in unperfect lagoon. * Magumpo and Gomsum were originally land which were tied with Taean peninsula, they were separated from land by means of wave and fault, marine terrace were formed between island and land,afterward tombolo were formed, Magumpo and Gomsum were tied- land-island and lagoon were unperfectly formed.

        The main purpose of this study is to bring out the charateristics, formative environments and the processes of the river terrace along Musimcheon of upper Geumgang river. The conclusion of this study are as follows: The terraces of this studying area are river terrace which was formed by the main and branch of Musimcheon. These terraces are divided into three geomorphic surfaces, that is, higher level terrace surface(70-80m), middle level terrace surface(50-70m), lower lever terrace surface(45-55m). By the comparison of the extent of weathering of rounded gravel, structure and texture of each soil particle, weathering rind, coating degree of Mn and Fe at the surface of gravel and deposits, existence and thickness of hardpan, soil colour, consolidation of sediments on each terrace, the higher level terraces are oldest surface of the three and the lower level terraces are youngest surface of the three. It is clear that the river terraces of this studying area were formed by the climatic change. After forming of middle level terrace, lower level terraces are formed by diastrophism and fluctuation of erosional base level with climatic change by comparision of great difference of bedrock altitude between them. The higher level terraces were deposited during the Mindel Glacial Period and terraced and chemically weathered during M/R and R/W Interglacial Period. The middle level terraces were deposited during Riss Clacial Period, terraced and chemically weathered during R/W Interglacial Period. The lower level terraces were deposited during the Last Glacial Period and terraced during Postglacial period. The floodplains which were deposited by rising Postglacial sea level were formed by repeating vertical accretion through irregular inundation. That is dynamic equilibrium between erosion and deposit.

        The main purpose of this study is to clarify regional geography, physical environment, river system, mountain range system, geological formation and geological environment, geomorphic environment, environment of weather, environment of soil in Chongju area. Chongju granite intruded Okchon Formation in this district is coarse-grained porphyritic granite. The area is located in valley between main range of Charyung Mt. and branch of them. Musimchun and Mihochun stream on valley of them. The characteristics of landforms in this area are floodplains, natural levees, sedimentary plains, oxbow lakes, river terraces, backswamp, point bars made by rivers. Over knickpoint of Uam Mt there are microtopography, namely tor, tafoni, block stream,block field, solution pan. There are Bumo Mt. Castle, Sangdang Mt. Castle, Chuiryung Mt. Castle mear Chongju. At the junction of Mihochun and Musimchun there are earth made castle,namely, Tosung. In Sachangdong of Chongju and Changri of Ochang there were granary by means of fluvial action and its name are remaining. Continental climate in Chongju is exact, temperature monsoon climate too. Wet season and dry season are biannual and summer rains very much, damage from storms, flood and drought are less than any other place in south Korea. There are six kind soil in this place.
