        越界的歷史、越界的認同: 八重山台灣人與大阪濟州人比較硏究

        本文將八重山台灣移民與大阪저飼野濟州島移民的移動經驗與民族認同進行比較硏究, 探討國家與民族交界處的島嶼居民之「越界」經驗與思想, 能以何種方式介入中國大陸、朝鮮半島與日本列島具有强烈「領土」意識形態的「陸地式」國族主義思想。從東亞國家政治版圖與角力關係來看,台灣、八重山、濟州島、大阪之間的兩個流動與移居的歷史, 都是發生於國家或帝國「大歷史」的邊수。然而, 他們與國家中心的相對性邊수, 同時也意味著他們與國族界線的린近, 促使他們能구在不同質的강硬政治區塊之夾縫當中, 쟁찰著穿鑿個人的生路。他們的跨界流動經驗, 超越了現代國族思想中民族、國家、語言、文化之間單一的對應關係, 生産出有異於現實政治意識形態與運作邏輯的槪念與思考。「越界者」看起來似乎不受「界線」的束縛, 但其實沒有人比他們更意識到「界線」的存在以及影響。在不將他/저們的人生經歷浪漫化的狀況下, 我們應該透過國界之島的人們之移動軌跡, 以及從中産生的「界線」感覺, 試圖使近現代國族主義下강化的「國家」與「文化」的界線, 能구因應人們實際上的生活經驗與存在狀態, 創造出更具流動性與柔軟性的槪念與思考。 This article conducts a comparative study of migration experiences and ethnic identity of Taiwanese in Yaeyama and Jeju People in Osaka, exploring how experiences and thoughts of border crossing of island people in the border area of nations intervene the nationalism rooted in the territorial ideas that dominate Mainland China, Korean peninsula and Japanese Archipelago. From the viewpoint of political territories and power relations in East Asian countries, these two histories of migration happened in the peripheries of nations or empires. However, the relatively peripheral location also means their being adjacent to the borders, making possible their struggling to survive in the interstice of political regimes. Their experiences of migration transcend the existing confinement of single nation, language and culture, producing ideas and thoughts deviating from realpolitik and logic. Those who crossing the border may seem free from the restricts of borders, but in effect nobody can be more conscious of the existence and impact of border. Without romanticizing their personal life experiences, we should make effort to create more flexible and soft ideas and thoughts on national and cultural borders that can correspond to real life experiences and existence conditions through the movement traces of borderland people.
