In this review article, several physical properties of perovskite-type oxide materials are discussed. Also, in this research, the paraelectric-ferroelectric structural phase transition, the origin of the relaxor behavior, the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) of the antiferroelectric-ferroelectric system, and the vision of electronic devices using perovskite-type ferroelectrics were investigated, and those results are presented and discussed. 본 논문에서는 페롭스카이트형 산화물이 갖는 여러 물성에 대하여 검토하였다. 페롭스카이트형 강유전체가 갖는 강유전특성중에서 구조 및 상전이에 대한 문제점, MPB와 릴랙서에 관한 강유전성, 그리고 응용소재를 위한 문제점과 장래의 전망을 논의하였다.

Objectives: This study was designed to evaluate the clinical, histological and immunohistochemical findings and treatment of chronic actinic dermatitis in Korean patients. Methods: Seventeen Korean patients with chronic actinic dermatitis were enrolled for this study. The clinical and histological findings and the results of phototest were reviewed with medical records, clinical photographs and pathologic slides. We also reviewed the effectiveness of the treatments in all patients with chronic actinic dermatitis. Results: In all patients with chronic actinic dermatitis, pruritus was severe, and the patients present in the early stages with erythemas on the face, neck and the back of the hands. As the eruption progresses, it became lichenified and scaly plaques and papules developed. The face, upper extremity and neck were most commonly affected. The most common abnorma results of the phototests were decreased MED-UVB alone. In 8 patients with actinic reticuloid, histopathologic findings showed irregular acanthosis, parakeratosis, spongiosis, atypical hyperchromatic cells with cerebriform nuclei, epidermotropism, Pautrier-like microabscess, deep perivascular lymphocytic infiltrates, vertically-streaked collagen in the papillary dermis, stellate and multinucleated fibroblasts. Treatment includes topical tacrolimus and corticosteroid, oral corticosteroid, azathioprine and cyclosporine. Conclusions: Our study showed classic clinical and histological findings. The most common abnormal results of the phototests were decreased MED-UVB alone. Topical steroid, tacrolimus and systemic cyclosporine, azathioprine are effective in treating chronic actinic dermatitis

Large Superficial Basal Cell Carcinoma Arising in the Scalp

Superficial basal cell carcinoma (sBCC), a rare sub-type of basal cell carcinoma, can frequently occur in younger patients. This cancer type preferentially develops on the trunk. However, other subtypes of BCC can occur in the head and neck, probably secondary to sunlight exposure. Especially, sBCC on the scalp has been rarely-reported,accounting for 0.7∼0.8% of all sBCC cases. We report a case of 71-year-old female with a large sBCC of the scalp, an unusual site of sBCC. A study on the Raman spectra of Al-doped and Ga-doped ZnO ceramics

AlxZn1-xO and GayZn1-yO ceramics were synthesized through a solid-state reaction technique. The crystal phase of the samples was identified by an X-ray diffraction experiment. For each sample, the electrical resistivity was determined. The Al 2-mol%-doped and Ga 0.5-mol%-doped ZnO ceramics had the lowest resistivity. Raman measurement was performed to study the doping effects in the ZnO ceramics including ZnO single crystal as a reference. The line-shape parameters, q1 and C1, at the same certain doping rate and the solubility limit of Al (2 mol%) and Ga (0.5 mol%) in ZnO ceramics, are strongly related to the each other, and that the solubility limit plays an important role. The second-order Raman peak at 1162 cm-1 of the ZnO ceramics was fitted by Fano formalism. The Fano’s fitting parameters, such as the lifetime of phonon and the degree of asymmetry degree of the second-order Raman peak changed as the amounts of dopants were varied.

강관 보강된 전단벽 경계부재의 전단성능에 관한 실험연구

The purpose of this study is to investigate the begavior of concrete filled square stee ltubular boundary elements subjected to cyclic shearing force and constant axial force. Six boundary elements, with a/D=1.0,were tested to determine their maximum shear force and compare primary curve, energy absorption capacity and stiffness degradation. As a result, in the both high and normal strength concrete boundary elements, the larger the wall breadth to wall thickness ratio(D/t) of the steel tube,the more prominent the decrease in structural performance due to cyclic loading. In the boundary element with D/t=25, the crushing of tube concrete were accompanied by considerable lateral displacement,while in the boundary element with D/t more than 39, the lacal bucking of steel tube and the crushing concrete were accompanied by considerable axial shortening.
