        정치인의 구체적 이미지, 자율적 해석, 지지도 효과 -대선 후보 이미지를 중심으로

        This research is to explore the feasibility of construct of politicians’detailed images, which could be made autonomous interpretation by voters, in turn having an impact on increasing politicians’ approval. The feasibility was tested in a case study of four potential presidential candidates’s images in 2012 election in Korea: Park Geun-hye, Kim Moon-soo, Sohn Hak-kyu, Rhyu Si-min. The research results show that the candidates’detailed images were interpreted in different ways by voters’political stances and demographical identies, such as gender and ages. For instance, Ms Park’s image of the daughter of the former President Park Jung-hee, a legendary leader of developmental dictatorship, was more likely to be perceived favorably by the support group for Ms. Park and majority conservative party. Ms Park’s could-be first female president image seemed to be received to somewhat degree favorably regardless of voters’ political stands, genders and ages, which suggests a taboo perception for the woman president has been overcome. Notably, female voters were more likely to approve the female politician image of Ms. Park. The effect of the detailed images on the politicians’s approval rates prevailed over the effects of abstract images, such as leadership, moral images, with taking into account of control variables of political stances and demographic variables. This exploratory research attempted to test the feasibility of detailed images of politicians and its being autonomous interpretation, which should command to further elaborate the theoretical conceptualization of variables under investigation in this project. 이 연구는 정치인의 구체적 이미지 가능성을 타진해 보고, 구체적 이미지의 자율적 해석과 지지도 상승 효과의 가능성을 탐색하기 위해 박근혜, 김문수, 손학규, 유시민 4명의 대선후보의 이미지를 대상으로 조사했다. 연구결과, 먼저 대선후보의 공적-사적 추상적 이미지의 후보 지지도 상승 효과와 관련해, 박근혜 후보는 추진력, 경제리더십, 친근감 이미지 순으로 지지도에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났고, 김문수 후보는 추진력, 경제리더십, 서민적 친근감 이미지, 손학규 후보는 설득력과 추진력, 유시민 후보는 경제리더십과 총명함이 각각 지지도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 4명의 후보별로 구체적인 이미지가 유권자들의 정치적 입장과 인구사회학적 정체성에 따라 자율적으로 해석되고 있는 현상이 발견됐다. 후보지지 집단일수록 해당 후보 이미지를 긍정적으로 해석했다. 특히 박근혜 후보의 박정희 대통령 딸 이미지에 대해 박 후보와 여당 지지집단은 우호적 해석했고, 야당 지지집단은 부정적 해석을 했다. 박 후보의 여성 정치인 이미지는 모든 집단에서 중간 이상의 점수를 받아 여성 정치인에 대한 인식상의 한계를 어느 정도 극복하고 있었다. 성별, 연령대에 따라 대선후보의 구체적 이미지에 대한 해석이 유의미한 수준에서 달랐다. 가령 박근혜 후보의 여성 대통령 이미지에 대해 여성 유권자들이 강한 긍정 인식을 했다. 셋째, 구체적 이미지의 지지도 상승 효과는 네 후보에 걸쳐 대체로 추상적 이미지와 여타 인구사회학적 변인, 정치적 변인 보다도 상대적으로 더 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 이 연구는 정치인의 구체적 이미지 변인과 이미지의 자율적 해석 변인의 가능성을 탐색함으로써 정치인의 이미지 구성과 효과 연구의 현실적 함의를 높이는데 기여한 것으로 평가된다. 구체적 이미지 구성과 이미지의 자율적 해석에 대한 이론적 정교화 작업의 필요성을 논의했다.

        Effect of Ultrasonic Vibration in Grinding; Horn Design and Experiment

        Ultrasonic vibration can be applied for grinding of difficult to cut materials, such as titanium, ceramics, etc., because the ultrasonic vibration in longitudinal direction can cause reduction of cutting temperature and tool wear. In this paper, a ultrasonic tool horn,which can vibrate longitudinally with a frequency of 20kHz, was designed using finite element method (FEM). And the ultrasonic horn was fabricated for ultrasonic assisted grinding. A grinding test was performed in terms of machining parameters, such as grinding speed, feed rate, etc., in order to study effect of ultrasonic vibration in grinding. The design of experiment (DOE) approach was used for an optimal condition of ultrasonic grinding, which can minimize the grinding forces. The grinding forces were measured and compared between the conventional grinding and ultrasonic assisted grinding. In addition, to characterize the effect of work materials, titanium (Ti6Al4V), FCD700 and S45C were used as work materials. From the experiment, it was found that the grinding forces decreased as the ultrasonic vibration power and the rotation speed of spindle increased while the grinding force was reduced as the feed rate increased. In addition, regression model was formulated for obtaining optimal grinding condition. The ultrasonic vibration provided beneficial effects regardless of work materials, especially for brittle material.

        Unpredictable customer needs strongly require for manufacturing enterprises to produce quality products satisfying cost and time constraints. To cope with such dynamically changing manufacturing environment and to get higher competitiveness, the manufacturing industry needs to equip with advanced technologies including IT as well as substantial infrastructure. “i-Manufacturing” is the name of the project funded by the Korea government, and it is also the strategy for achieving manufacturing innovation in Korea. The most basic but important concept of the i-Manufacturing is “collaboration”. As a part of the project, we are developing various kinds of web-based collaboration systems for managing product and production information as well as processes. We applied IT into conventional manufacturing industry by developing strategic business models and collaboration systems. As a consequence, many Korean SMEs are currently using 9 different collaboration systems and they are reducing manufacturing cost and delivery time while increasing product quality and profit. In this paper, therefore, we first introduce the i-Manufacturing and it"s effects. The 9 collaboration system we have developed will also introduced. The strategy for evolving manufacturing innovation focused on spreading the collaboration systems will introduced the end of this paper.

        Numerical study of effects of accommodation coefficients on slip phenomena

        An unstructured mesh Navier-Stokes solver employing a Maxwell slip boundary condition was developed. The present flow solverwas applied to the simulation of flows around an axisymmetric hollow cylinder in a Mach 10.4 freestream, known as Calspan-UB ResearchCenter (CUBRC) Run 14 case, and the velocity slip and the temperature jump on the cylinder surface were investigated. The effectof tangential momentum and thermal accommodation coefficients used in the Maxwell condition was also investigated by adjustingtheir values. The results show that the reverse flow region is developed on the body surface due to the interaction between the shock andthe boundary layer. Also, the shock impingement makes pressure high. The flow properties on the surface agree well with the experimentaldata, and the velocity slip and the temperature jump vary consistently with the local Knudsen number change. The accommodationcoefficients affect the slip phenomena and the size of the flow region. The slip phenomena become larger when both tangential momentumand thermal accommodation coefficients are decreased. However, the range of the reverse flow region decreases when the momentumaccommodation coefficient is decreased. The characteristics of the momentum and thermal accommodation coefficients also areoverlapped when they are altered together.
