간화자 제 4 조자방식 ‘簡易俗成化’에 보이는 전통 조자원칙 六書에 대한 시험적 고찰

        崔東杓(Che Dong-pio) 중국어문학연구회 2013 중국어문학논집 Vol.0 No.80

In order to explain the character-composition of the Simplified Chinese character, there have been three principles explored by Soyoung Yim and Dongpio Che, on the basis of the traditional character-composition, Six Categories[六?]. Three principles, however, just refer to the structure of 301 characters (9 characters of them overlapped with the remainder) out of the basic 482 Simplified Chinese characters. This essay is to analyze the remainder, 190 characters, which have been left unexplained, on the same Six Categories, including them in the category of the Character of Simplified-Popularized Form, thus the Fourth character-composition principle of the Simplified Chinese character being newly suggested. Simplified-Popularized Form[?易俗成化字] refers to one of the main composition principles of Simplified Chinese Characters[?化字], being opposed to ‘Signifier[符?化]’ of the Square Ornamental Character[??]. The former is a kind of simplified structure of Chinese strokes, as shown chiefly in the Running and Cursive Hand[草?], the strokes of which are linked with each other, or in the Popularized Form[俗字]. Among the 190 characters of supposed Simplified-Popularized Form, this essay is analyzing the characters, in which same component is presented at least in more than one character, excepting those absolutely different from each other. And, cause of the space limited, just 52 characters, out of the object of analysis amounting to a half of 190 characters, are analyzed in view of the traditional character-composition of Six Categories, which is embodied in the Simplified-Popularized Form of Simplified Chinese Character. When the traditional character composition principle of the Simplified-Popularized Form is compared with that of the Simplified Chinese Characters, five categories of variation could be induced.
