삼성산 안양사지 <중초사지당간지주명문>과 <안양사탑비>의 성격에 대한 재검토

<중초사지당간지주명문>과 <안양사탑비> 의 내용과 성격을 재검토하고 이를 근거로 신라∼고려시대 안양사의 성격과 위상을 새롭게 살펴보았다. <중초사지당간지주명문>은 종래 안양사의 선행사찰인 중초사에서 당간지주를 건립한 상황을 기록한 내용으로 이해되었지만, 명문이 순수한 한문이 아니라 우리말 표현법을 반영한 변격 한문이라는 점과 신라시대의 사찰 내부 시설물 명문에 해당 사찰의 이름이 기록된 사례가 없다는 것을 고려하면 사찰 이름으로 생각되었던 ‘中初’는 사찰의 이름이 아니라 우리말의 ‘∼에’와 ‘처음’을 나타내는 변격 한문의 표현으로 볼 수 있다. 한편 『대동금석서』에 비편 일부가 탁본의 형태로 전하는 <안양사탑비>는 김부식이 찬술한 안양사 7층 전탑 관련 비석으로 이해되어 왔지만 비문의 구성과 내용으로 볼 때 전탑과 관련된 것이 아니라 고승의 행적을 기록한 탑비로 여겨진다. 실제로 『대동금석서』의 목록인 『대동금석목』과 후대 지지 자료의 내용을 종합적으로 살펴볼 때 <안양사탑비>는 안양사 본찰 바깥의 동쪽 산기슭 부도전에 있던 김부철이 찬술한 <보조국사비>로 파악된다. <보조국사비>는 건립연대와 안양사의 소속 종파를 고려할 때 법상종 승려로서 예종대 왕사였던 德昌혹은 인종 때 국사였던 德緣의 행적을 기록한 탑비일 가능성이 높다. 당간지주의 명문과 <안양사탑비>의 성격에 대한 검토를 통하여 안양사의 역사를 새롭게 이해할 수 있게 되었다. 안양사는 고려초에 새롭게 창건된 사찰이 아니라 통일신라 초기부터 한강하류 남쪽 지역의 유력한 사찰로서 고려말까지 지속적으로 전통이 계승되었으며 특히 보조국사가 활동한 12세기 무렵에는 유력한 법상종 사찰로서 기능하였다. 통일신라 초기 불교학의 주류적 흐름이 유식학이었던 것을 고려하면 안양사의 법상종 사찰로서의 전통은 신라시대로까지 올라갈 가능성도 적지 않다. In this paper I tried to re-examine the inscriptions on the flagpole support and the 12<sup>th</sup> century stele of Anyang-sa temple. The former has been regarded to be a record of the building of the flagpole supports of Jungcho-sa temple, the former temple existed at Anyans-sa site before its foundation in the early 10th century. But considering the facts that the passage was not written in a proper classical Chinese but in a Korean style abnormal Chinese and that there is no temple inscription on the stone artifacts showing the name of the temple, it would be more appropriate to understand the Chinese characters of Jungcho中初 as corresponding to Korean expression of ‘at the time firstly’ rather than to regard as the name of a temple. And the numbers of the man-power and the working period in the inscription look excessive for a work to build just one set of flagpole supports. The inscription must have been recorded after a general restoration of the temple including the addition of the flagpole supports. The latter, one part of the 12<sup>th</sup> century stele reserved in the form of rubbing, has been usually regarded as the epigraph for the 7 story brick pagoda of Anyang-sa temple. But the structure and style of the epigraph does not match to the stele for a pagoda. A passage in the epigraph which tells the protagonist’s family and hometown shows that it must be a stele for an eminent monk who practiced at the temple. Considering the fact that the rubbing of a part of the stele for National Preceptor Bojo of Anyang-sa was written by the same person and erected in the same year, the two rubbings must belong to the same stele. Investigation of the several 17<sup>th</sup> and 18<sup>th</sup> century geographic materials shows that the stele was located in the mountain hermitage a little departed from the Anyang-sa temple, where still remain a stone turtle base and some parts of a stone stupa for a monk. The stele for National Preceptor Bojo was an epigraph for a 12<sup>th</sup> century Yogacara buddhist scholar monk of Anyang-sa who had been installed as National Preceptor. The real name of the Preceptor was unknown, but Deokchang, a Preceptor during King Yejong or Deogyeon, a Preceptor during King Injong is very possible candidate. As the stele for a National Preceptor had usually been erected at the home temple of him, especially in the school of Goryeon Yogacara Buddhism, Precepto Bojo must have studied and practiced at Anyana-sa temple in young days. The temple was also his retire place, where he prepared his last with his disciples. With this re-understanding on the flagpole support inscription and the stele for National Preceptor Bojo, we can broaden the understanding of the history of Anyang-sa temple. Anyang-sa had been an important temple since the early period of Unified Shilla in the Southern Gyeong-gi area and also was an important Yogacara Buddhist temple in the Goryeo Buddhism.
히스토그램 기반 영상 처리를 위한 압축영역에서의 효율적인 히스토그램 추출 기법

Due to development of internet network environments and data compression techniques, the size and amount of multimedia data has greatly increased. They are compressed before transmission or storage. Dealing with these compressed data such as video retrieval or indexing requires decompression procedure in most cases. This causes additional computations and increases the processing time. In various applications a histogram is one of the most frequently used tools. Efficiency of extracting such histograms will drop down if decompression is involved. We propose a novel scheme for extracting histograms from images that are transformed into the compressed domain by 8x8 DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform). In this scheme an averaged version of original image is obtained by a simple linear combination of DCT coefficients with the sets of coefficients we designed.

This paper proposes an enhanced adaptive mode decision scheme for fast H.264 encoders. By efficiently predicting AZCB (All Zero Coefficient Block), the proposed scheme can encode motion pictures in H.264 up to 2.86 and 1.68 times faster than JM9.3 and AMD [1], respectively. Besides, this scheme significantly reduces the encoding performance fluctuation of AMD across tested bit-rates and video sequences.
