        LEED 인증 받은 학교건축사례에서 재생에너지 활용 연구 분석 - 태양광 및 태양열 에너지를 중심으로 -

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the state-of-the-art solar energy system design cases among LEED(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified school projects and to explore the feasibilities for their applications in domestic school design. Investigating the sold wattages in some kinds of buildings, the wattages per an educational facility is the second-largest after that per an industrial facility. That shows that our attention should be actively directed to the utilization of New and Renewable Energy in school facilities. Therefore photovoltaics systems, lighting systems and solarthermal facilities of solar energy systems were analyzed in the LEED cases. Findings demonstrate that applications of solar energy systems in K-12 educational facilities have been executed more than those in higher educational facilities. However, K-12 educational facilities and higher educational facilities by private funds are not categorized as Green Buildings by Support for Making Green Buildings Act. That fact is needed to be amended. Besides that, design developments are needed for building integrated photovoltaics systems and solarthermal facilities in domestic educational facilities.

        최신 자연채광 디자인 사례들 분석 및 그 적용에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the state-of-the-art daylighting design among LEED(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) multi-family housing cases and to explore the feasibilities for their applications in domestic housing design. Occupants in multi-family houses are reported to consume more electricity power than those in single houses. That may imply the problems of daylighting design in domestic housing design for multi-family houses have better insulation system and less windows and outside walls than single houses. Therefore two systems, daylight delivery system and daylight control system, are scrutinized for daylighting design with LEED cases. The findings show when windows as a daylight delivery system are combined with overhangs, fins, louvers, fenestration materials, speciality fenestration, or interior controls as a daylight control system, the outcome goes with more energy savings and better facade design. Beside those, lightshelves as a daylight delivery system seem to have potentials in domestic multi-family houses with deep plans and less outside walls. Daylighting designs in domestic multi-family houses need to pursue available options more to achieve the integration of energy and aesthetics values.

        생산성 향상을 위한 북미 최첨단 사무공간 계획 방향 분석

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the variables of the state-of-the-art office planning for the productive workplaces of the North America and to predict the adaptability in Korea. Knowledge workers have been considered as the decisive factors for the survival and development of organizations. So, open workplaces have been considered appropriate for the workplace to stimulate their informal knowledge sharing. Howerver, the low individual productivity due to low privacy and distraction in the open wowrkplace has been the key problem. To solve the dilemma, this study suggests that closed individual offices are best for the individual productivity and open conference area and meeting places are essential for the informal knowledge sharing. Some state-of-the-art workplaces such as just-in-time offices and hotelings can provide more space for the individual workplaces and open meeting places without excessive cost burden of organizations.

        자연냉방기법 활용 주거 사례분석 연구

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the state-of-the-art housing cases with passive cooling technologies and to explore the feasibilities for their applications in domestic housing design. Nineteen Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design housing cases from 2002 to 2007 were selected and analyzed their used passive cooling technologies. Besides traditional passive cooling technologies such as site planning according to the sun direction, the use of thermal mass, insulation, shading, below-ground spaces and ventilation, the relatively new technology trends were detected as followings; the use of high performance envelope, operable windows, and geo-thermal energy as the cooling source of heat pumps, increased areas of photovoltaic cells, and the education of the owner and tenants about the adopted passive cooling technologies in a building. Especially, the education may have not been focused in the domestic design despite of its effectiveness on the appropriate operations of passive cooling technologies. The results of this study show their positive adaptations would be beneficial to domestic housing design to reduce energy costs and have cooler housing environments in summer.

        한.중 근대화 과정에서의 전통주택 공간 특성 비교 분석연구

        Housing is a cultural tool which enables one to see through a certain generation, and the types of housing in a specific cultural area are both physical and spiritual results formed by life activities. Therefore, housing, the center area for the human life, is a bowl, putting various meanings of life into the complicated environment. Its formal and spacial variety is a result of interaction in human life. This study analyzes fundamental problems and characteristics of asian traditional housing by comparing those in city of Seoul and Shang-hai. From the results of this study, many differences have been found in traditional housing in Seoul and Shanghai despite of high similarity m culture and ideology. This results from a same Confucian culture that accepts the feng shui theory which has evolved through different environments. Therefore, this study aims to understand housing cultures in two cities by analysing the attributes of housing data from selected traditional housing types in Seoul and Shanghai. Also, issues of fundamental characteristics of the two cities through the development of residential environment are studied to provide important data for the future development of housing environment of both cities.

        건축환경에서 생체리듬을 고려한 인간중심조명 디자인에 관한 문헌고찰

        This study aims to propose a lighting design guide by investigating the lighting metrics of circadian rhythm for proper human-centric lighting in architectural environments. A systematic review of previous studies was examined based on experiments with biosignal responses under various lighting levels. The results of this analysis showed that the lighting metrics of circadian rhythm were color rendering index (CRI), gamut area index (GAI), correlated color temperature (CCT), illuminance, circadian stimulus (CS), equivalent melanopic lx (EML), and monochromatic light. Biosignal responses were melatonin, cortisol, alpha, beta, theta, eye blinking, core body temperature, and blood pressure used to measure circadian rhythm, visual fatigue, and eye fatigue. The melatonin level of circadian rhythm was higher for the lighting with higher EML than for the lighting with lower EML. Visual fatigue was higher for the lighting with higher CCT, illuminance, CS, and EML than for the lighting with lower CCT, illuminance, CS, and EML. Eye fatigue was higher in the lighting with higher CIE CRI than for the lighting with lower CIE CRI. Therefore, these findings suggest that proper human-centric lighting design should consider a four-step process that includes characterizing the lighting application and determining the lighting levels for the melatonin level of circadian rhythm of users, visual fatigue of users, and eye fatigue of users.

        건축계획에서 건강과 웰빙을 위한 주광설계 요소분석 - 생체 시스템과 시각적 쾌적함을 중심으로 -

        This study was to investigate the architectural planning elements of circadian systems and visual comfort in daylighting design. The main attributes in the human-based daylighting design were categorized, based on the reviews of the articles published last 10 years. View directions and distance from windows among characteristics of the comparative analysis were weighted more in the circadian system and the visual comfort. Material reflectance, sizes of windows, orientations of windows and shading devices affect greatly on the daylighting design. Higher material reflectance is the most economical and effective way for the healthier circadian system. Installing shading devices is the easiest method for better visual comfort. Big skylights are effective for good views and circadian system, but their high glare may bring low visual comfort. The daylighting design is executed in the early phase of a building design process, but daylighting factors related with the circadian system and the visual comfort are hardly considered in the process. The variables are not matched to keep the circadian system and the visual comfort properly. The results show various evidences for the importance that circadian system and visual comfort for efficient daylighting environments should be integrated in the building design process.

        Smart-healthcare System을 적용한 지능형 욕실 공간 유형 연구

        The purpose of this study is to research healthcare with smart technology in a bathroom. Recently, a bathroom in a house has been increasingly emphasized not only as a space for physiology and hygienics but also as a space for leisure and healthcare. The smart-healthcare system consists of test equipments that continuously measure the health status of a patient in a house, as well as a network and server equipments that remotely transmit detected information to enable the status of a patient monitored by a doctor. It is necessary to develop the bathroom design with various purposes in healthcare and with the change of people's need for the healthcare, which will be the major issues at smart bathroom design with smart-healthcare. Therefore, this study suggests bathroom designs comprised of the architectural options and bathroom functions with smart-healthcare systems to satisfy various users' needs.
