Floor slipperiness is a leading cause in slip and fall accidents which are a major source of occupational injuries in Korea. Researchers have estimated the slip and fall related accidents rank number one or two in number of the injured. The objectives of this study were to find the field contamination effect and improvement countermeasure. Slipping and falling are common accidents in large public facilities, especially facility which vulnerable adults generally use as like hospital. So, we measured the coefficient of friction of several floors on the floor in hospital, under dry and wet using BOT-3000. The results of the coefficient of friction measurements showed that floor type and surface conditions were all significant factors affecting the coefficient of friction. The most surprising finding of this study was that there were significant friction improvement when the floors were properly cleaned with cleaning equipments
대도시 도시형 소규모 제조업체의 입지 특성 및 육성ㆍ정비방안에 관한 연구

이 논문에서는 경제위기에 직면한 현재 우리나라 상황에서 그동안 정책적 지원에서 소외되었던 소기업에 대한 관심과 지원이 필요하다는 점을 강조하면서, 소기업 중에서도 대도시에 입지하고 있는 도시형 소규모 제조업체에 초점을 맞추어 이들이 직면한 문제점 및 필요한 정책방안을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 소기업정책에서 중요한 것은 소기업의 여러 유형에 따라 각각 차별적인 정책이 수립되어야 한다는 점이다. 이 논문에서는 서울소재 소규모 제조업체들, 특히 서울 도심에 집적하고 있는 소규모 인쇄업체들을 사례로 하여 이들 업체에 가장 절실한 열악한 입지 환경의 개선과 관련된 정책방안을 모색해 보았다.
급속 소결에 의한 인공관절용 나노구조 2/3 Cr-ZrO<sub>2</sub> 복합재료 제조 및 특성

Despite having many attractive properties, $ZrO_2$ ceramic has a low fracture toughness which limits its wide application. One of the most obvious tactics to improve its mechanical properties has been to add a reinforcing agent to formulate a nanostructured composite material. Nanopowders of $ZrO_2$ and Cr were synthesized from $CrO_3$ and Zr powder by high energy ball milling for 10 h. Dense nanocrystalline $2/3Cr-ZrO_2$ composite was consolidated by a high-frequency induction heated sintering method within 5 min at $600^{\circ}C$ from mechanically synthesized powder. The method was found to enable not only rapid densification but also the inhibition of grain growth, preserving the nano-scale microstructure. Highly dense $2/3Cr-ZrO_2$ composite with relative density of up to 99.5% was produced under simultaneous application of a 1 GPa pressure and the induced current. The hardness and fracture toughness of the composite were 534 kg/mm2 and $7MPa{\cdot}m1/2$, respectively. The composite was determined to have good biocompatibility.
몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용한 finger counting method 정확도평가

Purpose The dose of drug and the size of instrument are determined based on children’s weight. We aimed to validate the finger counting method (FCM) for weight estimation in Korean children using the Monte Carlo simulation. Methods We estimated the weight of Korean children aged 1 to 9 years by the FCM. These measurements were compared with the weight extracted by the Monte Carlo simulation applied to the “2007 Korean Children and Adolescents Growth Standard.” Pearson correlation coefficients (r) were measured to assess the correlation between the weight extracted by the simulation and that estimated by FCM. Bland-Altman analyses were performed to assess the agreement between the weight extracted by the simulation and that estimated by FCM and 2 other well-known pediatric weight estimation formulas (the Advanced Pediatric Life Support and Luscombe formulas). Results Data regarding 9,000 children’s weight selected by age and gender was randomly extracted using the simulation. We found a positive correlation between the weight estimated by the FCM and the weight extracted (in boys, r = 0.896, P < 0.001; in girls, r = 0.899, P < 0.001). The FCM tended to underestimate weight in the children aged 7 years or old. Conclusion This article suggests the usefulness of FCM in weight estimation, particularly in children younger than 7 years. With appreciation of the limitation in older children, the FCM could be applied to emergency practice. .
