지방대학생의 ‘학습된 무기력’ 및 ‘무기력 행동’ 관련 변인에 관한 연구

This study was conducted to determine the level of learned helplessness and helplessness behavior that provincial university students are experiencing and the factors affecting their learned helplessness. To find out the impact of these variables, we have carried out research on 378 students taking liberal arts courses. The results of multiple regression analysis revealed that school learning history, career maturity, family atmosphere, school satisfaction, and military service experience were important variables in predicting learned helplessness. The variables of career maturity, military service experience, school satisfaction, school adjustment degree and possibility of employment in another province turned out to be important factors in predicting their helplessness behavior. Based on the effective variables extracted from this study, we discussed the need for national policy and aggressive efforts by provincial universities, as well as the attention of faculty and career counseling in order to ameliorate their highly-developed level of learned helplessness and helplessness behavior. 본 연구는 지방대학생들이 겪고 있는 학습된 무기력과 무기력 행동의 실제는 어느 수준이며 학습된 무기력과 무기력 행동에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 교양과목 수강생을 대상으로 총 387명에게 설문을 실시하였다. 회귀분석 결과 학습사, 진로성숙도, 가정 분위기, 학교 만족도, 군 경험이 학습된 무기력을 유의미하게 설명하는 변인으로 확인되었으며 진로성숙도, 군 경험, 학교 만족도, 학교 적응도, 타 지역 취업 가능성이 무기력 행동을 유의미하게 예측하는 변인으로 나타났다. 이 연구결과를 통해 지방대학생의 높은 수준의 학습된 무기력과 무기력 행동을 개선하기 위한 국가정책 수립 및 취업 가능성을 높이기 위한 지방대학교 공동체의 적극적 노력, 교수진의 관심과 진로지도의 필요성을 논의하였다.

일개 의과대학에서 첫 임상실기시험(Clinical Skill Examination)에 대한 수험생 경험분석

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the experience of examinees who took the first clinical skill examination in Korea. Methods: The data were collected by written survey, telephone, and face-to-face interviews with 46 examinees who took a clinical skills examination test at Jeju National University School of Medicine. Thirty-two questionnaires were valid for analysis. Results: Examinees’ self-evaluation scores with regard to the level of difficulty of the CPX was 2.83 on average (1 for very easy,5 for very difficult), and the score on the degree of adequate time for the CPX was 2.69 on average (1 for enough, 5 for very short). Examinees’ self-evaluation scores on the level of difficulty of the OSCE was 2.37 on average (1 for very easy, 5 for very difficult), and the score on the degree of adequate time for the OSCE was 2.56 on average (1 for enough, 5 for very short). Conclusion: We hope that our study provides useful information on practical questions in the development and review of exams and will be used to develop educational content and teaching methods in medical education.

The study consists of combining traditional Resist-Dyeing techniques, which are utilized extensively by the Yoruba people of West Africa, and fabric design created by using these techniques. This approach not only enhances the aesthetic expression of fine textiles but also developes fabric design through another medium and methodology. The goal is explore and exploit combining new materials and designs with ancient tradition, therefore, such an ancient tradition as Yoruba adire cloth could also progress and develop.
