        A New Sesame Variety, “Kangbaek” with Disease Resistance, Lodging Tolerence and High Yield

        A new sesame variety Kangbaek was developed from Yeongnam Agricultural Research Institute in 2004. Cros wasmade by lodging resistant SP9003-3 line to the F1with high yielding capacity, folowed by pedigree selection, yield test and RYT by the sesame breeding team at the National Insti-tute of Crop Science up to 2003. The variety showed higher disease resistance, especially phytophothra disease, and lodging resis-respectively. It's 1000 grains weight was about 2.54 g indicating 0.03 g heavier than that of Yangbaekkae, and it's oil content wasabout 52%. Kangbaek also contained total 7.65mg/g of such lignans as sesamin and sesamolin. The average yield of Kang-baek was 82 kg per 10a at the national-wide regional performance.

        In this paper, we propose Sharot's family of jackknives which include the first and second order jackknives as a special cases and the generalized second order jackknife estimator as the density estimator. The numerical values of the mean integrated square errors of the proposed jackknife estimators are obtained for some special cases. The proposed generalized second order jackknife estimator is shown to be preferable in the small sample size.

        In this paper, we will obtain the mean and the variance of the jackknife kernel type density estimator which was proposed by Kang(1989). We also prove that the jackknife kernel type density estimator is asymptotically unbiased and consistent estimator of the density function.

        In this paper, we obtain the maximum likelihood estimator, the uniformly minimum variance unbiased estimator and a strongly consistent asymptotically normal unbiased estimator for each of Lorenz curve and Gini index of a power function distribution. The mean square error of each estimator is derived in terms of several special functions. The unmerical values of the mean square errors are also obtained.

        We propose the estimators of the parameters of the extreme value distribution when the scale parameter is known and unknown. We compare the proposed estimators of the parameters with the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) in the extreme value distribution in the sense of mean square errors (MSE) through Monte Carlo method.

        본 논문에서는 검파후 최대비합성법에 의한 지연검파와 주파수검파의 경우에 대한 합성후의 SNR 관계식들을 관찰하고 이것들을 실현하는 실용적인 구성예를 보였다. 또한 이러한 구성에서 합성후 SNR의 열화특성과 이득특성 보이므로써 최대 SNR를 얻기위해 필요로 하는 가중계수의 변화를 얻기 위해 필요한 최대비합성에서의 검파기입력 SNR의 측정을 필요로 하지 않는 실용적인 검파후 최대비합성 수신검파기의 구성법이 합리적이라는 것을 보였다. This Paper observed the related formulas of SNR branched postdetection maximal ratio combining method in case of the delay detection and frequency detection and showed the practical configuration for the postdetection maximal ratio combining receiver. The defined SNR degradation characteristics after branches combining from the formulated results showed the practical postdetection maximal ratio combining structure is reasonable without the necessity measuring the input SNR of each branches to obtain the maximum SNR

        In this paper, we prove that the transformed sample Lorenz curve, normalized sample Lorenz curve, and the test statistics for testing of normality based on the normalized sample Lorenz curve and the modified Lorenz curve which were introduced by Kang and Cho (2001a, 2002) are location and scale invariant statistics.

        대형연구개발사업 평가제도의 체계적 도입방안

        최근 국가전략적인 원천기술개발의 필요성과 과거 대규모의 연구개발비를 투자했던 연구 개발사업의 성공사례를 바탕으로 대형 연구개발사업의 추진이 확대되고 있다. 연구개발평가는 평가대상이 되는 연구개발사업의 특성에 적합한 평가체계의 구축을 통해 운용되어야 한다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구는 대형연구개발사업의 특성에 적합한 연구개발 평가제도의 체계화를 위해서 대형연구개발사업의 특성을 도출하고 이에 근거한 실태분석을 통해 평가제도의 개선방향을 제시하였다. 대형연구개발사업의 특성으로는 연구개발목표와 연구개발수단의 관점에서 국가 전략적 목표에 의한 사업추진과 광범위한 파급효과, 연구개발비의 대규모성, 연구기간의 장기성, 다수의 세부과제로 구성되어 있다는 특성이 도출되었다. 이러한 특성을 반영하여 대형연구개발사업의 평가체계를 구축함에 있어서는 사전타당성 평가의 제도화, 평가의 체계적 연속성 확보, 대형과제 단위의 평가, 평가결과 활용을 위한 환류체계의 강화가 중요시되어야 함을 제안하였다. Recently, many large-scale R&D programs with the national strategic purposes are made and performed. R&D evaluation system should be managed in accordance with the characteristics of R&D programs. The purpose of this study is to distinguish the characteristics of large-scale R&D program, to analyze the practice or R&D evaluation system, and to suggest a evaluation system for that. The national strategic objective, far-reaching influences. large-scale investment. long-tern period of R&D activities, and the composite of some sub projects are the characteristics of large-scale R&D program. We suggest that when we design the evaluation system for large-scale R&D programs, we have to consider these characteristics. And also the systematic continuity of evaluation processes, large-scale project based evaluation, pre-evaluation system, and reinforced feedback system are suggested as important factors to be considered.

        강소성 가공한 Al에서 Sc과 Zr의 석출 거동

        The elements of Sc and Zr were added to pure Al for improving thermal stability and refining grain size. Sc was presented on boundaries and Zr dominantly on matrix in as cast state. After homogenization treatment, Sc was dissolved mostly but Zr retained in matrix; though the two elements were presented on the same location in Al-Sc-Zr alloy. Semi-coherent Al₃Sc in Sc added alloy was precipitated during severe plastic deformation, and shown (001)_(matrix)//(001)_(Al₃Sc) orientation relationship with matrix. Al₃Zr in as cast Zr added alloy was shown the orientation relationship (011)_(matrix)//(100)_(Al₃Zr), and partially retained and dissolved with increasing deformation. In the Al-Sc-Zr alloy, retained Al₃Zr had the role of nucleation site for Al-Sc precipitates so that Al₃Zr mainly coexist with Al-Sc precipitates.
