Halon 1301과 Halon 대체 소화약제를 기포제로 이용한 포 소화약제에 대한 연구

포 소화약제는 물보다 비중이 가벼운 액체 가연물 또는 입체면이 많은 건물에서 포 수용액을 팽창 발포시켜 대상물을 덮어 씌우거나 봉쇄해서 질식소화 시킬 수 있다. 포 소화약제로 소화성능이 탁월한 수성막포(AFFF) 소화약제를 노즐에 의해 공기와의 혼합으로 포를 형성하는 기존의 방법과 다른 방법으로 본 연구에서는 Halon 1301 및 Halon 대체 소화약제를 기포제로 사용하여 소화성능과 팽창비를 향상시킨 소화약제를 개발하게 되었다. 개발한 Halon 1301과 Halon 대체 소화약제를 기포제로 사용한 수성막포 소화약제는 적은 양의 수성막포 수용액으로 많은 양의 포를 형성하므로 휴대용 포 소화기 또는 포 소화설비 등에 유용하게 사용할 수 있다. The AFFF(Aqueous Film Forming Foam : 3M Company's Light Water) agent are synthetic compounds that foams which are similar to those produced by protein based materials. The foam extinguishing agent was used in the extinguisher was the AFFF agent. We sought, however, to make other foams by using halon 1301(CF_3Br) and halon alternatives, such as HCFC Blend A(CHClF_2 82%, CF_3CHCl_2 4.75%, CF_3CHClF 9.5%, C_10H_16 3.75%), HFC-227ea (CF_3CHFCF_3). We selected these alternatives instead of air in order to raise the expansion ratio of the AFFF agent. By these means we discovered that it is possible to increase the expansion ratio of the AFFF agent up to 44 : 1 and up to 24 : 1 when HFC-227ea was used as a halon alternatives. Therefore our new foam extinguishing agents can be used in a portable extinguishers.
원자력 사고후 쌀알과 배추내 ^90Sr 및 ^137Cs 농도 예측

원자력 사고후 시간경과에 따른 작물체내 핵종 농도를 보다 현실적으로 예측할 수 있는 방법을 수립하고 단위 건침적에 대하여 백미와 배추내 ^90Sr 및 ^137Cs의 50 년간 농도를 예측하였다. 비생육기 사고의 경우 농도는 두 핵종 모두 시간경과에 따라 서서히 감소하였고 50년 내내 ^90Sr이 ^137Cs보다 높았다. 생육기 사고의 경우 처음 1년간 농도는 비생육기 사고에 비해 대체로 ^90Sr은 최고 30 배, ^137Cs은 최고 1,000 배 정도까지 높았다. 50 년간의 누적농도는 백미에서는 비 생육기 사고의 경우 ^90Sr이, 생육기 사고의 경우 ^137Cs이 더 높았으나 배추에서는 어느 경우에나 ^90Sr이 더 높았다. 생육기 사고시 50년간의 누적농도에 대한 지배적 경로는 대체로 ^90Sr의 경우 뿌리흡수, ^137Cs의 경우 작물체 직접오염이었다. 재부유의 영향은 무시할 수 있을 정도였다. 예측 결과에 입각하여 사고 조건별로 대책의 방향을 제시하였다. A method of more realistically predicting radionuclide concentrations in crop plants varying with time after a nuclear accident was established to estimate 50 years' concentrations of ^90Sr and ^137Cs in polished rice seeds and Chinese cabbage for unit dry deposition. After non-growing season accidents, concentrations of both nuclides decreased gradually with time and ^90Sr concentrations were higher than those of ^137Cs throughout the whole period. Radionuclide concentrations in the 1st year after growing season accidents were on the whole higher than those after non-growing season accidents by factors of up to 30 for ^90Sr and up to 1,000 for ^137Cs. In polished rice seeds, the 50 years-integrated concentration was higher for ^90Sr than for ^137Cs after non-growing season accidents, whereas the opposite was true after growing season accidents. In Chinese cabbage, however, it was higher for ^90Sr than for ^137Cs after both types of the accident. Generally speaking, the dominant pathway for the integrated concentration after the growing season accident was root uptake for ^90Sr and direct plant contamination for ^137Cs. The effect of resuspension was negligible. Based on the predicted results, the direction of planning countermeasures was suggested for various accident conditions.

To examine the effects of vaccination against Babesia gibsoni infection in dogs, 15 normal mixed-breed dogs(5 month to 1 year old) divided into 3 groups with 5 dogs in a group. One of them was selected as control group(group A) and others were selected as experimental groups(group B and C). The group B was vaccinated with sonicated antigens and the group C was vaccinated with 0.2% of formalin treated antigens. The results obtained in the examination were summarized as follows : 1. In the western blot, the lane A revealed specific two bands on the regions of 54kd and 100kd, respectively. 2. After the first vaccination, the antibody titers of group B and C were higher 5 times(1 : 200) than those of control group(1:40). After the second vaccination, the antibody titers of group B and C have not changed. When challenged with the protozoa(Babesia gibsoni), the antibody titers(1 : 5,000) were elevated in all groups. But these were not exceeded over 1 : 5,000 for 4 weeks. 3. After challenge, the peak time of increased numbers of the protozoa was the 15th day (12-18 days) in all groups. During these days, the rate of parasitized erythrocytes in control group was 55.0${\pm}$5.4%. But those of group B and group C were 26.0${\pm}$6.4%, and 15.6${\pm}$7.8%, respectively. 4. After challenge, all of the values of PCV, Hb, RBC were shown to decrease in all of the control and experimental groups. 5. The total leukocytes counts are shown a tendency of reduction in all groups after challenge. 6. In all groups, there were increase in lymphocytes and monocytes after challenge.

Measurement and analysis of the physical status (height, body weight, breast girth, sitting height. length of leg, length of thigh, thigh girth, crural length, length of arm, brachial length, antebrachial girth and skinfold thickness), physical types and the growth were made to the 360 Korean middle and high school boys aged between 12 and 17 years in Taegu City. The physical status was evaluated and expressed as dispersion and the Physical type as percentage of each status to height, and the growth was analysed by the growth formula. The results are as follows; 1) The increase of the volumes of Physical status was slowest between 12 and 13 years and fastest between 13 and 14 years in general. 2) The increase of the volumes of thigh girth and antebrachial girth showed a linear pattern until 16 years. 3) The coefficient of variation was largest in skinfold thickness $(16.3{\sim}28.4%)$ followed by body weight $(10.0{\sim}14.3%)$, antebrachial girth $(4.8{\sim}19.60%)$ and length of thigh$(6.3{\sim}13.6%)$. The coefficients of variation in all the other status were similar $(4{\sim}7%)$. 4)The physical indices of body weight, breast girth, sitting height, length of thigh, thigh girth, antebrachial girth and skinfold thickness increased as age increased while the others decreased except the brachial length, which showed no significant change. 5) Ratio of growth quantity was largest in body weight followed by skinfold thickness, and the others were all similar. 6) Growth rate and specific growth rate decreased in the all the status analysed as age increased except in the skinfold thickness in which an increase was noted. 7) Growth gradient was increased along the increase of age in breast girth, sitting height, crural length, brachial length and in skinfold thickness. However a decrease was observed in the other status except in the body weight which was decreased until 15 years of age and increased thereafter.

<P>A novel bacterium, designated strain 5YN1-3(T), was isolated from wetland peat collected from Yongneup, Korea. The bacterium was facultatively anaerobic, Gram-negative, yellow-coloured, rod-shaped, mesophilic and motile with one polar flagellum. The strain grew optimally at 30 degrees C, at pH 6.0-9.0 and with 0-1 % NaCl (w/v). 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis showed the highest similarity to the sequence from Aquitalea magnusonii TRO-001DR8(T), with 98.7 % sequence similarity. However, strain 5YN1-3(T) showed DNA-DNA relatedness of 43 % (40 % in a reciprocal experiment) with A. magnusonii LMG 23054(T). The strain contained summed feature 3 (iso-C(15 : 0) 2-OH and/or C(16 : 1)omega7c) and C(16 : 0) as major cellular fatty acids. On the basis of DNA-DNA relatedness and physiological and biochemical characterization, strain 5YN1-3(T) should be assigned to a novel species of the genus Aquitalea, for which the name Aquitalea denitrificans sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is 5YN1-3(T) (=KACC 12729(T) =DSM 21300(T)).</P>
