김치에서 분리한 Lactobacillus sp. JC-7과 Lactobacillus acidophilus 88간의 Electrofusion 최적조건 설정

김치 발효 숙성기간을 연장하고 신선도를 오랫동안 유지 할 수 있는 김치발효 starter의 개발을 목적으로 최적숙성기에 있는 김치로부터 bacteriocin생성능이 없는 유산균을 분리하여 동정하였으며, bacteriocin생성능이 우수한 L.acidophilus 88을 융합시키기 위해 electrofusion에 대한 최적 조건을 검토하였다. 분리균주는 Lactobacillus속으로 동정되어 Lactobacillus sp. JC-7이라 명명하였다. Electrofusion에 의해 생성된 융합주를 식별하기 위해 streptomycin(2.5㎎/ml)에 내성을 나타내는 Lactobacillus sp. JC-7변이주와 kanamycin(600㎍/ml)에 내성을 나타내는 L.acidophilus 88변이주를 분리하였다. Electrofusion을 100V/㎝, 120msec(72ohms,1670 capacitance) 에서 수행했을 때 융합효율이 가장 양호하였으며 전기장의 세기와 시간이 중가할수록 융합 효율이 현저히 감소하였다. 2가 양이온은 농도가 중가할수록 대체적으로 융합효율을 감소시키는 경향을 나타내었으나 1mM MGCl_2에서는 대조군에 비해 융합효율이 약간 증가하였다. PEG매개에 의한 융합법의 융합효율을 비교한 결과, 융합효율은 chemical fusion<electrofusion<electrofusion+20% PEG순을 나타내었다. Evaluation of Optimum Conditions for the Electrofusion between Lactobacillus sp. JC-7 Isolated from Kimchi and Lactobacillus acidophilus 88. Young-Bae Jo, Hyun-Jung Choi, Hyung-Suk Baik and Hong-Ki Jun*. Department of Microbiology, Pusan National University, Pusan 609-735,Korea-A lactic acid bacterium was isolated from kimchi. The isolated strain was identified as the genus Lactobacillus thrugh its morphological characteristics and named as Lactobacillus sp. JC-7. The optimum conditions for the electrofusion between streptomycin(2.5㎎/ml)resistant mutant of Lactobacillus acidophilus 88 and kanamycin(600㎍/ml) resistant mutant Lactobacillus sp. JC-7 were evaluated. The highest number of fusants were obtained at a capacitance value of 120msec(1670㎌), a field strength of 100V/㎝,and a pulse controller setting of 72Ω. The potimum pH of elecroporation buffer was 7.5 and the concentration of divalent cation was 1mM MG^2+. Electrofusants were efficiently obtained by addition 20% polyethylene glycol to electroporation buffer. The yield of fusion was better than that of using polyethylene glycol mediated chemical induction.

東洋의 傳統的 茶文化 空間 硏究

Characteristic of the space of the traditional tea culture of Corea, Japan and China. The space as the vessel which puts in the tea culture of Corea, Japan and China would make us find the courtesy, law and the arts of space. In other words, we can discover the features and the point of sameness of the 3 countries by comparing the characteristic, scope, atmosphere and formative nature of the space. The space of Corea's tea culture is the one of Poongsoo-Eco.(Feng-shui and ecology); the space of freedom and autonomous variable space at the same time, and that of Japan is standardized and systematized and the space of tea culture(tea chamber) can be called the symbol of Japanese traditional architecture. As for China, during the Tang Age, the Ming Dynasty and Ching Kingdom, the space of the playing with interaction of contrast are being made as living tea culture and artistic tea culture. Consequently, though the regional characteristic of the three countries are all distinct, we can see they are the refined living cultural space which takes the courtesy, law and arts seriously. Especially, we think it is the big yield of this study that the following conclusion has been gained as the common formative kernel out of the formative nature of the tea culture space of the three countries. When expressing by color the air of the space of Corea's tea culture, the positive color sense by natural gloss, and the color of negative dark shade and shadow is expressed in Japan. On the other hand, China emphasizes Hyun's color sense. That is; it means "HYUN" is just like the color of dark black ink stick. However, in a long run, we can see that the space of the tea culture of Corea, Japan and China is on the whole, the space of Ye.Do.Ye(Courtesy, Law & Arts) playing with interaction of contrast.

인터넷 중독 청소년들의 정신병리 및 대처 방식

This study was conducted to investigate the differences in psychopathology and coping strategies among internet addictors, over users and non addictors in high school students. Subjects were 273 high school students in Seoul city. Self rating questionnaires included demographic data, Young’s Internet Addiction Scale, SCL-90-R, Beck Depression Inventory, Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, and The Way of Coping Strategy. Subjects were classified into 3 groups (addiction, over use, non addiction) by Internet Addiction Scale score. Prevalence of internet addiction was 4.3% and male adolescents were more addictive than female. Students who were mainly involved with internet chatting or game showed higher internet addiction score. The addiction group and over use group showed higher level of somatization, obsession, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, and paranoia than non-addicted group. Addiction group and over use group used passive coping strategies more frequently in the stressful situation than nonaddicted group. Also, the regression analysis for finding out causal factors that predicts internet addiction showed that emotion relieving strategy were important variable which predict internet addiction. Interpersonal sensitivity and emotion relieving coping strategy was important to predict addiction. This study showed that problematic internet use was closely associated with psychopathology and psychiatric comorbidity. And high interpersonal sensitivity and emotion relieving coping strategy were related with internet addiction in adolescence.

However, Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is still helpful procedure for the diagonosis of the pancreatobiliary disease and treatment through endoscopic sphinterectomy (EST) is relatively safe, these have possiblity of complications such as hemorrhage, infection, panceatitis, and perforation. ERCP related perforation was rarely reported in 0.3 to 1.1% of previous study, but most serious complication. A report of Pneumomediastinum, Tension Pneumothorax complicating perforation after ERCP and EST is very uncommon. In our hospital, we experienced case of pneumomediastinum, subcutaneous emphysema, and tension pneumothorax after ERCP and EST, and the patient (a 58 years old female with suspicious common bile duct stone) was treated successfully with conservative treatment.

야생 버섯을 복용 후 발생한 재생불량성 빈혈 1예

Aplastic anemia is one of the hematologic disease which is characterized by cytopenia in peripheral blood, hypocelluarity in bone marrow and marrow failure. Most common cause of aplastic anemia is unknown. Acquired causes of it are viral infection, drugs, and chemical agents. The symptoms of aplastic anemia are fatigue, headache, dizziness, exertional dyspnea, and pallor, and they are due to abrupt decrease in hemoglobin level. The incidence of acquired aplastic anemia is higher in Eastern population than Western. In geeral, men and women are affected with equal frequency, but the age distribution is biphasic, with the major peak in the teens and tweenties and a second rise in the elderly. We report a case of a 28-year-old man who experience aplastic anemia after ingestion of Cordyceps with the review of literatures.

맘모톰을 이용한 유방 종괴의 절제 생검에 대한 유용성

PURPOSE: The aim of this study is to evaluate the rate of residual lesion after US-guided mammotome biopsy for breast mass and evaluate the efficacy of mammotome biopsy device. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 902 US-guided excisional mammotome biopsies were performed in 902 lesions of 474 women (mean age 42.1 years, age range 17-75 years), from January 2003 to December 2006 in Chosun University Hospital. After mammotome biopsy, ultrasonographic follow-up were performed on 6 or 12 months later to assess residual tumor. RESULTS: Remnant tumor was found in 39 lesions (4.3%, mean age 41.8years, range 19-55 years) of total 902 lesions underwent mammotome biopsy. Pathologic diagnoses were fibrocystic change in 16 lesions, fibroadenoma in 19 lesions and other benign breast lesions in 4. Mean size was 1.09 cm before mammotome biopsy. CONCLUSION: Ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted biopsy device was an effective method for small breast mass. Although there was a possibility of remnant tumor, the remnant rate was low. Also, there was advantage of cosmetic effect for small incision scar. The results suggested that mammotome biopsy is a good alternative method for the diagnosis of small breast mass.

스테레오 비젼과 레이저포인터를 이용한 거리 측정 시스템

In this paper, we studied on the environment map building for the autonomous mobile robot navigation using the vergence controllable stereo camera system. First of all, distance measurements are necessary to build the environment map. So, we present the distance measurement method using the stereo camera system and a laser pointer. To measure the distance using the stereo camera system, finding the common points in the left and the right images are needed. In this study, we use a laser pointer to solve this problem. Secondly, we present the method how to obtain the 3-dimension position information using 3-D geometric schematic of the stereo camera and the measured distance information. This information is essential to the mobile robot navigation. Finally, we prove the presented method experimentally. An image of a corridor is taken by the stereo camera. The door and pillar in this image are landmarks. Therefore, we find such landmarks in the image and measure the 3-D position information for those landmarks. And the, we construct the environment map for the navigation of the mobile robot.

내시경적 절제로 진단된 폴립 형태의 심재성 낭종성 위염 2예

Gastritis cystica profunda (GCP) is a disease characterized by hyperplastic and significant extension of cystic dilatation of the gastric mucous glands, which results in a cystic lesion in gastric submucosa. It often occurs on the part of gastroenterostomy, but can be found in the stomach without any previous surgery. GCP has variable gross finding including solitary polyps, diffuse ones, submucosal tumors, and rare giant gastric mucosal fold. It is difficult to tell GCP from a cancerous lesion by gross finding that the disease demands a necessary tissue biopsy, though GCP is commonly showed as a benign in the progress. We report a case of GCP in polypoid types diagnosed by endoscopic polypectomy.

대학생의 여가 인식에 관한 연구 : 경주대학교 재학생을 대상으로 focused on KYONGJU University student

Korean is exposed to a rapid growth in economy and considerable amount of time for leisure. There is no doubt that the leisure industry is playing a significant role in making our lives enjoyable and therefore leading a quality lift. In a range of research. it has been shown that the essence of leisure functions properly where the degree of leisure satisfaction is high. Thus, this study attempts to identify the cognition of leisure by undergraduate students in Kyongju University and to suggest alternative solutions for then. The research findings and their implications are summarized as follows. Firstly, a large percentage of the students take a serious view of work and leisure. Secondly, the satisfiers of own leisure activity are rather than dissatisfied students, because they regard their leisure activities as reasonableness and soundness. Lastly, students consider leisure as their mental state of comformt and pleasure. The results implies that systematic and in-depth education on the leisure and enrichment of leisure facilities are required in order to become higher students' satisfaction of own leisure activities.

악성종양에서 혈청 Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-1의 혈청

Intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) is a glycoprotein serving as ligands for leukocyte intergrin receptors, i.e. LFA-1, MAC-l. It has been suggested that the expression of ICAM-1 and the levels of circulating ICAM-1 were increased in several malignancies. We measured serum ICAM-1 by ELISA in patients with stomach cancer (n=25), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (n=7), non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (n=14), and metastasis of unknown origin (n=5). Serum levels of circulating ICAM-1 in all malignancies were significantly higer than in normal controls. And serum level of ICAM-1 in stomach cancer ptients having metastatic disease was higher than in patients with localized disease (p=0.027). These results suggest that elevated serum ICAM-1 is a rather common feature for malignancies, not unique for certain types of cancer such as malignant melanoma. It remains to be clalified whether marked increase of serum ICAM-1 in metastatic stomach cancers simply reflect tumor burden or this molecule plays a role in progression in stomach cancer.
