A ten months old, female Yorkshire terrier weighing 2.88 kg referred to veterinary teaching hospital of college of veterinary medicine, Konkuk University because of syncope, cough and dyspnea. First hematological and serum chemical test revealed thrombocytopenia, mild anemia, and increase of concentration of ALP (195 U/L). On 57 days later, second hematological and serum chemical test revealed polycythemia, increase of concentration of ALP (211 U/L), and Tchol (387 mg/dl). Right atrium enlargement, main pulmonary artery bulge and cardiomegaly (VHS = 11.5) were observed in radiographic findings. Ultrasonographic images showed both right and left ventricular dilation and turbulent flow between the descending aorta and the main pulmonary artery in color Doppler imaging. ECG showed left ventricular enlargement, SA block, and electrical alternant. Thoracotomy was performed through left fourth intercostal incision under isoflurane anesthesia. Patent ductus arteriosus was double ligated with 1-0 silk. Cough and dyspnea disappeared on 5 days after operation. Turbulent flow was not found in color doppler imaging of ultrasonography on 10 days after operation. Ten months later after the operation, syncope could not exist any more.
Inter-Chunk Popularity-Based Edge-First Caching in Content-Centric Networking

Content-centric networking (CCN) is considered promising for the efficient support of ever-increasing streaming multimedia services. Inter-chunk popularity-based caching is one of the key requirements in CCN multimedia services because some chunks of a content file tend to be requested more frequently than others. For multimedia contents, forepart chunks often have higher popularity than others as users may interrupt and abort before finishing its service. This paper presents a novel cache replication scheme, which places more popular chunks ahead on the edge router, and establishes a cache pipelining on the relaying routers along the path to reduce user-perceived delay. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme incurs less delay and reduces the overall redundant network traffic while guaranteeing a higher cache hit ratio.

Gorham-Stout disease (GSD) is a rare progressive osteolytic disease with intraosseous lymphangiomatosis. A previously healthy 55-year-old woman presented with left leg hypoesthesia and upper back pain. k pain, back pain, and bilateral shoulder pain. In radiologic examination, there was an osteolytic lesion in T3, 4, 5, 6 vertebra. And a dislocation in the T3/4 vertebrae and a compression fracture in the T4 vertebra were founded. She was treated with posterolateral fusion (PLF) from C7 to T7. For 1 year, she had no specific symptoms but a new osteolytic lesion was found on thoracic T8 on 1 year follow-up magnetic resonance imaging. Radiotherapy was performed with 40 Gy, and chemotherapy was performed with denosumab. This report described a case of GSD that involved the thoracic spine and was appropriately managed. In the present case of a middle-aged Asian woman, correction of severe thoracic instability and prevention of neurologic compromise were accomplished through PLF from C7 to T7. Recurrence was observed 1 year later, but it was appropriately treated with neoadjuvant therapy.

Acupuncture has long been used for pain relief. Although recent studies have shown that acupuncture can reduce neuropathic pain, the mechanism of this effect is not clear and little information is available regarding proteins that are involved in the development of neuropathic pain and the effects of acupuncture. We have developed an animal model for neuropathic pain using young adult male Sprague-Dawley rats. The model was confirmed by behavioral tests. Electroacupuncture (EA) treatment was applied to Zusanli (ST36) of neuropathic pain model to examine the analgesic effect of EA. The protein expression profile of the hypothalamus in both neuropathic pain and EA treatment models was analyzed using two-dimensional electrophoresis-based proteomics. We detected thirty-six proteins that were differentially expressed in the neuropathic pain model compared with normal rats and that restored to normal expression levels after EA treatment. Twenty-one of these proteins were identified in the MSFiT database and are involved in a number of biological processes, including inflammation, enzyme metabolism and signal transduction. Potential applications of our results include the identification and characterization of signaling pathways involved in EA treatment and further exploration of the role of selected identified proteins in the animal model.
