      • 木浦地方의 안개發生特性

        안개는 수증기의 供給源인 바다, 호수, 강, 인공댐 및 태양 에너지의 입사량 변화로 發生하게 된다. 목포지방은 三面이 바다로 둘러 싸여 있으며, 주변의 造成된 영산강 댐과 2개의 人工 호수 때문에 안개 發生에 좋은 조건을 갖추고 있다. 본 硏究는 목포지방의 안개 發生 特性을 밝히기 위하여 안개 發生日數, 特續時間, 風向, 風速, 氣溫과 水溫의 偏差를 비교 分析하였다. 또한 안개의 發生 및 消散시각의 분포에 따라 4가지 Case로 분류하고 氣象要素의 變化에 따른 안개의 視程 변화를 分析해 본 결과 夏節期에는 따뜻하고 수증기를 많이 포함한 空氣가 찬 바다 위로 이동하면서 移流안개가 발생하고 봄·가을에는 氣溫의 日較差에 의해 輻射안개와 ??發안개가 複合的으로 나타난다. A fog is variously induced by the sea, the lake, the river, the artificial dam and the solar energy which originate the vapor. The Mokpo area is surrounded by the sea, the Youngsan river and the artificial lakes which naturally tend to cause a dense fog. This research shows the analogy and comparison to prove the traits of what made a fog in the Mokpo area; how many days a month the fog originates; how many hours it lasts, both the direction and the velocity of the wind, and the anomaly between atmos-pheric temperature and the sea-water temperature. The types of the fog occurrence and the dstribution of the fog-clearing time are classified into four cases. This research also tells that as a result, the change of the fogcl-earing speed brings those facts as follows: (i) when the air, warm and vaporous, is d-rifted away over the cold sea-water in the summertime; (ii) it makes the advection fog and in the season of spring and fall, it makes both the evaporation fog and the radiati-on fog at the same time, due to the great daily temperature difference. The fog in Mokpo area has high occurrence-frequency both when the velocity of the wind runs below 3 m/s and when the direction of the wind indicates NNW,NW,SSW,SSE, etc...

        섬유강화형 포스트를 이용한 치관-치근 파절의 치료: 증례 보고

        The crown-root fracture is defined as a fracture of tooth that contains enamel, dentin and cementum with or without pulp exposure. Generally the fracture lines place obliquely from labial surface, between incisal edge of the crown and marginal gingiva, to palatal surface subgingivally. If the fracture line is located supragingivally, the removal of tooth fragment and supragingival restoration can be performed. In subgingival fracture line, the surgical exposure, orthodontic eruption or surgical eruption can be considered. If the fracture line is too deep to restorate, extraction or decoronation can be selected. In children and adolescents, the extraction should be the last option. Another option to select before extraction is the restoration using fiber-reinforced post and the reattachment of tooth fragment. The fiber-rainforced post enhances the retention and the durability of tooth fragment. The reattachment of crown fragment using resin adhesive system is considered minimal invasive treatment biologically. This case reports the treatment of crown-root fracture using the reattachment of crown fragment and the insertion of fiber-reinforced post. 치관-치근 파절은 법랑질, 상아질, 백악질이 모두 포함된 치아의 파절로, 파절선이 대부분 절단연이나 순측의 변연부 치은 에서 구개측 치은열구 하방으로 사선으로 진행된다. 파절선의 위치가 치은 연상이라면 파절편의 제거 및 치은연상 수복을 시 행하고, 치은 연하라면 파절면의 외과적 노출술, 교정적 정출술, 외과적 정출술을 이용한 치아의 수복이 이루어진다. 그 외에 섬유 강화형 포스트를 삽입하여 치관 수복물의 유지력을 높이고, 레진 접착 시스템을 사용하여 치관 파절편을 재부착함으로 써 생물학적으로 최소한으로 침습적인 치료를 하는 방법도 있다. 만약 파절의 정도가 치은 연하로 깊은 경우 발치나 치관절제 술을 이용한 치근의 유지 등을 고려할 수 있다. 본 증례는 치관-치근파절로 내원한 12세 환아로 섬유강화형 포스트를 사용하여 치관 파절편 재부착을 시행하였으며 양호 한 경과를 보여 이를 보고하는 바이다.

        서울지역 초등학생들의 학교 급식 만족도 연구(반찬류)

        The purpose of this study is to investigate children's satisfaction with side dishes served in elementary school food service program in Seoul area. Two hundreds and thirty two children participated in this study through a questionnaire developed by the researchers. Conclusion drawn from the results of this study is that there seems no significant problems in school food service program since children are generally satisfied with food provided by school. However, minor problems such as hot and salty food, inappropriate temperature of warm dishes, and excessive amount of food, need to be improved through a newly developed menu, cooking method, and food distribution method.

        2.9% 과산화수소를 함유한 부착형 미백제의 임상적 효능과 안정성에 관한 연구

        2.9%의 과산화수소를 함유한 시험용 부착형 미백제(Medison dental whitening strip, Samsung medical Co.,Anyang,Korea)를 실험군 피험자 23명, 시험용 미백제에서 과산화수소를 제외한 동일한 제재를 대조약으로 대조군 피험자 24명에게 매일 1시간 30분씩, 2주간 적용하여 임상적 효능과 안전성을 평가하였다. 미백 효과는 Shade Vision, Chroma Mete 및 Vitapan classical shade guide를 이용하여 색변화를 측정하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 실험군에서의 전체 치아의 색변화량(ΔE^(*))은 세 가지 측정법에서 모두 대조군에 비해 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였고 (p < 0.05). 쉽게 인지할 수 있는 정도였다. 2. 색변화는 색좌표 상에서 명도의 증가와 녹색조 및 청색조로의 변화에 의해 얻어졌다. 3. 치아별로는 어두운 견치의 색변화량이 가장 컸고, 측절치, 중절치 순으로 감소하였다. 4. 47명의 피험자 중 5명이 경도의 과민증을 경험하였으나 곧 완화되었다, 치은염증지수와 전기치수검사 결과 시험 전후에 차이가 없어 안전성을 확인하였다. This study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of an experimental bleaching strip (Medison dental whitening strip, Samsung medical Co., Anyang, Korea) containing 2.9% hydrogen peroxide. Twenty-three volunteers used the bleaching strips for one and a half hour daily for 2 weeks. As control group, the same strips in which hydrogen peroxide was not included were used by 24 volunteers with the same protocol. The shade chang (ΔE^(*), color differnce) of twelve anterior teeth was measured using Shade Vision (X-Rite Inc., S. W. Grandville, MI, USA), Chroma Meter (Minota Co., Ltd. Osaka, Japan) and Vitapan classical shade guide (Vita Zahnfabrik, Germany). The shade change of overall teeth in the experimental group was significantly greater than that in the control group (p < 0.05) and was easily perceivable. The change resulted from the increase of lightness (CIE L^(*) value) and the decrease of redness (CIE a^(*) value) and yellowness (CIE b^(*) value). The shade change of individual tooth was greatest in canine, can smallest in central incisor. The safety of the bleaching strip was also confirmed. 〔J Kor Acad Cons Dent 31(4):269-281, 2006〕

      • 상부요로계감염 환자에서 Gallium-67 Citrate 스캔 및 Tc-99m Dimercaptosuccinic Acid(DMSA)스캔의 임상적 의의

        It is often not certain whether the focal defect of renal cortex of Tc-99m Dimercaptosuccinic acid(DMSA) renal scan in patients with acute pyelonephritis means the cortical scar by previous inflammation or recent active inflammatory lesion. Gallium-67 citrate(Ga-67) also has been known to be accumulated at the active inflammatory lesion. In order to evaluate the usefulness of the Ga67 and Tc-99m DMSA renal scan in patients with acute pyelonephritis, we reviewed the results of both study and clinical findings. Nintecn patients with typical clinical findings of acute pyelonephritis and admitted to our institute from Jan. 1998 to Nov. 1998 were included in this study. Tc-99m DMSA and Ga-67 scan were performed mean 3.3 and 7.3 days after admission. Eleven of 19 patients (57.9%) showed abnormally increased focal renal uptake on the Gallium-67 citrate scan and 14 of 19 patients(73.7%) had a cortical defect on the kidneys in Tc-99m DMSA scan. Seven(36.8%) patients had an abnormality in both study. Seven(36.8%) patients had an abnormality only in Tc-99m DMSA scan and 4 (21.1%) patients had an abnormality only in Ga-67 scan. Of 7 patients who had an abnormality on both scan, 5 patients had. an abnormality at same region in both scan and 2 patients had an abnormality at the different sites on the kidneys. With the above results, we speculate that Ga-67 scan and Tc-99m DMSA scan play a complementary role in the patients with upper urinary tract infection.

        <P>Shear is an effective method to create long-range order in micro- or nanostructured soft materials. When simple shear flow is applied, particles or polymer microdomains tend to align in the shear direction to minimize viscous dissipation; thus, transverse alignment (so-called log-rolling) is not typically favored. This is the first study to report the transverse alignment of cylinder-forming coil coil block copolymers. Poly(styrene-b-methyl methacrylate), PS PMMA, where the PS blocks form the matrix, can adopt a metastable PMMA hemicylindrical structure when confined in a thin film, and this hemicylindrical structure can orient either along the shear direction or transverse to the shear direction depending on the shearing temperature. A monolayer of PS PMMA forming full cylinders exhibits log-rolling alignment.         Synergistic Efficacy of Concurrent Treatment with Cilostazol and Probucol on the Suppression of Reactive Oxygen Species and Inflammatory Markers in Cultured Human Coronary Artery Endothelial Cells

        In the present study, we aimed to identify the synergistic effects of concurrent treatment of low concentrations of cilostazol and probucol to inhibit the oxidative stress with suppression of inflammatory markers in the cultured human coronary artery endothelial cells (HCAECs). Combination of cilostazol (0.3∼3ՌM) with probucol (0.03∼0.3ՌM) significantly suppressed TNF-Ձ-stimulated NAD(P)H-dependent superoxide, lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and TNF-Ձ release in comparison with probucol or cilostazol alone. The combination of cilostazol (0.3∼3ՌM) with probucol (0.1∼0.3ՌM) inhibited the expression of vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) more significantly than did the monotherapy with either probucol or cilostazol. In line with these results, combination therapy significantly suppressed monocyte adhesion to endothelial cells. Taken together, it is suggested that the synergistic effectiveness of the combination therapy with cilostazol and probucol may provide a beneficial therapeutic window in preventing atherosclerosis and protecting from cerebral ischemic injury.

      • Watermelon Rootstock Tolerant to CGMMV

        CGMMV (cucumber green mottle mosaic virus) infects many cucurbitaceae species causing mosaic symptoms, yellowish leaf, and fruit deterioration. Several isolates of CGMMV from Korea, Israel, Japan, Greece and Spain have been characterized. In fact, CGMMV outbreaks have caused huge losses in the total yields of cucurbitaceous crops in Korea. Unfortunately, no genetic source is available for the resistance against CGMMV infection, and therefore, the breeding management offers no access to a solution yet. Thus, an alternative was to transform the viral gene such as CGMMV-CP into crops to induce tolerance against CGMMV. Here, we present the successful transformation of watermelon rootstock (gongdae) by Agrobacterium-mediated transformation with the CGMMV-CP gene. We obtained 29 independent T0 watermelon rootstock plants from the transformation of 7,887 explants. T0 plants were self-crossed and T1 plants were screened by the virus infection. Those gongdaes tolerant to virus were selected continuously, and BC2T1 and T3 generation were obtained. We have also obtained watermelons of BCF generation by crossing GM gongdae to watermelon line and those BCF watermelones were strongly tolerant to CGMMV.
