JOSHI, Santosh,UPRETI, Dalip K.,THANH, Nguyen Thi,NGUYEN, Anh Dong,HUR, Jae-Seoun Cambridge University Press 2017 The Lichenologist Vol.49 No.3
<B>Abstract</B><P>The lowland area of southern Vietnam contains a high diversity of corticolous, crustose lichens, particularly in the family <I>Graphidaceae</I>. Two species, <I>Acanthothecis verrucosa</I> S. Joshi, Upreti & Hur and <I>Graphis exuta</I> S. Joshi, Upreti & Hur, are described new to science. <I>Acanthothecis verrucosa</I> is characterized by a verrucose, olive green thallus containing irregular to shortly lirellate apothecia, hyaline to brownish proper exciple apically lined by robust periphysoids, muriform ascospores, 30-70 × 15-20 μm, and the presence of psoromic and subpsoromic acids. <I>Graphis exuta</I> is characterized by a smooth, greenish white thallus, simple lirellae lacking thalline margin, entire labia coarsely white pruinose towards slit, muriform ascospores, 20-35×10-13 μm, and norstictic acid in the thallus. A new name, <I>Acanthothecis yokdonensis</I> S. Joshi & Hur, is proposed here for the species <I>Acanthothecis salazinica</I> S. Joshi & Hur, a later homonym of <I>A. salazinica</I> van den Boom & Sipman. In addition, 34 species from Vietnam are newly reported. A world key to the group of <I>Graphis</I> species characterized by short, simple and sessile lirellae lacking or with basal thalline margins (<I>nuda</I>-morph) is presented.</P>
Three New Records of Lichen Genera Opegrapha and Phaeographis from the Republic of Korea
( Santosh Joshi ),( Udeni Jayalal ),( Soon Ok Oh ),( Jae Seoun Hur ) 한국균학회 2012 Mycobiology Vol.40 No.3
This paper provides a description of Opegrapha herbarum, Opegrapha viridis and Phaeographis subdividens, all newly identified in the Republic of Korea. The characteristic features of O. herbarum include Varia-type asci, Subelevata-type ascospores, a lack of secondary metabolites and a saxicolous habitat. O. viridis possesses Calcarea-type asci, Vulgata-type ascospores and no chemicals in the thallus. P. subdividens is recognizable by its curved to sinuous lirellae, divergent labia, a brown and uniformly thick proper exciple which is open at its base, 3~4-septate ascospores, and lack of secondary metabolites. All three taxa are now reported to exist on Bogil Island in the Republic of Korea.
Coefficient Estimates for Sãlãgean Type λ-bi-pseudo-starlike Functions
Joshi Santosh,Altinkaya, Sahsene,Yalcin, Sibel Department of Mathematics 2017 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.57 No.4
In this paper, we have constructed subclasses of bi-univalent functions associated with ${\lambda}$-bi-pseudo-starlike functions in the unit disc U. Furthermore we established bound on the coefficients for the subclasses $S^{\lambda}_{\Sigma}(k,{\alpha})$ and $S^{\lambda}_{\Sigma}(k,{\beta})$.
RESEARCH ARTICLES : New Additions to Lichen Mycota of the Republic of Korea
( Santosh Joshi ),( Sergey Y. Kondratyuk ),( Florin Cri An ),( Udeni Jayalal ),( Soon Ok Oh ),( Jae Seoun Hur ) 한국균학회 2013 Mycobiology Vol.41 No.4
The current study describes seven species that are new to the lichen mycota of South Korea. A taxonomic description of Arthonia excipienda, A. radiata, Arthothelium ruanum, Enterographa leucolyta, Fissurina elaiocarpa, Rinodina oleae, and Thelotrema porinaceum was given and supported by distribution, ecology, and illustrations. Each species was compared with a species showing close resemblance.

<B>Abstract</B><P><I>Acanthothecis salazinica</I> and <I>Diorygma archeri</I> are described from Vietnam. The former is characterized by having a leprose thallus, creamish to whitish, entire, epruinose labia, a slit-like disc, a hyaline to brown, entire proper exciple, warty periphysoids, 8-spored asci, and 28-30-loculate, hyaline, I− ascospores, 70-120×7-14 µm in size. The latter has a greenish grey thallus, a poorly developed, hyaline to pale or brownish proper exciple, 1-spored asci, hyaline, muriform ascospores, and produces protocetraric acid. <I>Acanthothecis corcovadensis</I>, <I>Diorygma erythrellum</I>, <I>D. junghuhnii</I>, <I>D. macgregorii</I>, <I>Platygramme platyloma</I>, <I>Pliariona montagnei</I> and <I>Thecaria quassiicola</I> are recorded for the first time from the country.</P>
Lichen Genus Porina in Vietnam
( Santosh Joshi ),( Dalip K. Upreti ),( Jae-seoun Hur ) 한국균학회 2019 韓國菌學會誌 Vol.47 No.4
An identification key to twenty-nine species of Porina known from Vietnam is provided. In addition, new records of Porina eminentior , P. meridionalis and P. nuculastrum are described from the protected rain forests in southern Vietnam. A detailed taxonomic account of the newly reported species is provided and supported by its ecology, distribution, and illustrations.

Graphis lueckingiana, a New Species from Cameroon
( Santosh Joshi ),( Dalip K. Upreti ),( Jae-seoun Hur ) 한국균학회 2018 韓國菌學會誌 Vol.46 No.4
A new species of Graphis is described from Cameroon, Africa. The new taxon is distinguished by a greyish-green, glossy, uneven, and continuous thallus. Further, it possesses stellately branched lirellae, and its entire labia are covered almost completely with thick thalline margin. It also has a completely carbonized proper exciple, which is considerably thick at the base, one-spored asci, and muriform hyaline to yellowish ascospores.
Graphis yunnanensis (Ostropales, Graphidaceae), a New Lichen Species from China
Joshi, Santosh,Upreti, Dalip Kumar,Wang, Xin Yu,Hur, Jae-Seoun The Korean Society of Mycology 2015 Mycobiology Vol.43 No.2
Graphis yunnanensis is described here as a new species. It is taxonomically well characterized by entire labia, slit-like disc, lateral thalline margin, completely carbonized proper exciple, inspersed hymenium, 8-spored asci, muriform $25{\sim}45{\times}8{\sim}12{\mu}m$ ascospores, and the presence of norstictic and stictic acids. The separation of the new species from other somewhat similar Graphis species is discussed. In addition, the study includes Graphis tenoriensis and Phlyctis karnatakana reported for the first time from China.
