        사후분해 시체에 대한 법의학적 접근

        Disposal of a homicide victim by dismemberment is rare, but individual cases are on record in most major medicolegal departments. Recognition of postmortem mutilation may be of importance in the interpretation of certain murders committed by sexual perverts and other mentally deranged individuals and sometimes performed for the sole reason of easier disposal of the body. Postmortem dismemberment is usually readily recognizable as such; The edges of the injuries are dry and lack evidence of bleeding. The joints may be disarticulated without fracture, or the use of an axe or saw may be evident from examination of bones. Parallel horizontal or oblique furrows in the bone surface are caused by skipping of the saw prior to establishing depth. Such patterns on the bone may assist in identifying the particular saw involved. So we report 25 dismembered corpses that autopsied in National Institute of Scientific Investigation. This paper can help in attempting to establish not only the first criminal investigation steps but also the medicolegal approach methods in unidentified and dismembered deaths.

        신비체험과 해리성향과의 관계

        신비체험은 종교의 핵심경험이라고 일컬어질 만큼 종교계에서 가치 있게 평가되고 있으며 여러 사회집단에서도 관심의 대상이 되어왔다. 오래 전부터 심리학자들과 정신의학자들이 신비체험에 대해 관심을 가져 왔지만 그것의 개인적이고 주관적인 특성 때문에 과학적인 접근이 어려웠으며 단지 신비체험의 특성을 나열하고 묘사하는데 그쳤다. 최근 일부 정신병리학자들은 신비체험을 해리현상의 하나로 보는 주장도 있다. 한편 해리는 어린 시절의 외상경험과 연관이 있고 정신병리가 많을수록 해리경향성이 높아진다는 보고가 있어 왔다. 본 연구는 종교인중 신비체험을 경험하지 않은 사람(비신비체험군) 35명을 대조군으로 하여 종교인중에서 신비체험을 경험한 사람(신비체험군) 42명과 해리경향성, 정신병리, 외상경험을 비교하였다. 연구도구로는 한국어판 해리경험 척도, 간이정신진단검사, 외상유무를 묻는 질문지를 이용하였다. 그 결과, 해리경향성은 신비체험군이 비시비체험군보다 유의미하게 높았으며 외상경험도 유의미하게 높게 보고하였다. 그러나 정신병리상의 두드러진 차이는 발견되지 않았다. Mystic experience is highly evaluated so as to be called as core of experience in the religious world and also becomes the subject of concern among various social groups. Psychologists and psychiatrists are concerned about it, but because of its individuality and subjectivity, the scien-tific approach was difficult so that only the description of mystic experience has been researched fo far. There is a current report saying that mystic experience is the one of the dissociative pheno-menon. And there are a lot of reports saying that dissociation is related to childhood trauma experience and rises as much as psychopathological tendencies exist. Consequently, based on the reference that mystic experience is connected with dissociation, the study has been progressed to find out the level of dissociation, psychopathology and trau-ma experience for religious people who experienced mystic experience but excluding patients. Among them, it has been compared between group of non-mystic experience(n=35) and group of mystic experience(n=42). We used Dissociative Experience scale-Korean version(DES-K), Symptom Checklist-90-Revised(SCL-90-R), questionnaire about trauma. The result is that the group of mystic experience had a significantly higher tendency to have dissociation and trauma experience than group of non-mystic experience. However, the differ-ence of psychopathology has not been found.

      • 적외선 센서를 이용한 다종가스 계측기 구현

        The semiconductor gas sensors with a tin oxide as the raw material have been generally used to detect gases in the principle of electrical conductivity variation. However, it was difficult to design the gas detection system due to the non-selectivity, the non-stability and the influence of temperature, humidity etc. Therefore, it was proposed NDIR(non-dispersive infrared) method using pyroelectric infrared sensor to overcome the disadvantage of the semiconductor gas sensors. This method has been recently used to detect various gases in industrial parts. It has the advantages of selectivity, stability and responsibility. The gases used in this paper were CO_(2)(carbon dioxide) and HC(hydrocarbon) series. The system was designed with the Intel MCU i8097BH microprocessor. Main topics were to remove interference effect for other gases and to minimize influence for ambient circumstance by using the software and the hardware techniques.

        This study intended to examine the changes of residential building characteristics in period classification. The results of this study are as follows: During Joseon dynasty, it is judged that the social changes in the ideology of ruling classes did not directly affect the traditional residential style. The mid period and latter period of Joseon, it is changed toward horizontal and practical residential layout in place of confucian courtesy based style. During port opening period, the traditional residential style was remodeled through addition of glass panes to inter-chamber floor in tune with the influx of modern materials and ideologies like glass or cement etc. The Japanese ruling era of Korea period, the modern housing style of room separation type was settled.

      • 職業供血者의 血色素 및 血淸鐵値

        To satisfy the increasing needs for blood transfusion it is necessary not only to find new blood donors but also to repeat the collection of blood from the same donors. It was recognized that too frequent blood donations might become detrimental to the health of the donor, above all in female donors in foreign countries where the blood program relies on voluntary donation. Unfortunately, the sources of much blood depends solely on professional donors except in a few instances in Korea. Thus, anemia of professional donors after repeated blood donation must be controlled. For this purpose, we studied hemoglobin levels and serum iron levels of professional donors, coming to Korean Red Cross Blood Service and Seoul Medical College Hospital. The data obtained in this study were as follows: (1) 6. 0% of male professional donors and 17.98% of female professional donors were disqualified owing to a low hemoglobin levels. On the other heand, only 0.8% of male voluntary donors and 10.6% of female voluntary donors were rejected. (2) 7.3% of male donors and 33.3% of female donors were rejected their donations because of low hemoglobin levels on their 5-6th visits. (3) The serum iron levels appeared to be decreased after repeated blood donations. Specially, serum iron levels of female donors decreased to 73. 6 mcg. /d. after 2-4 blood donations yearly. So, it might be recommended to limit the frequency of blood donations from female.

        To investigate the relationship between premenstrual mood changes and anxiety, and mood symptoms in the perinatal period , questionaire survey was carried out. There was no significant correlation between premenstrual symptom scale value and Edinburgh postpartum depression scale value. And theme was no relationship between premenstrual symptom scale value and state anxiety inventory scale value in the perinatal period. This findings suggest that premenstrual mood changes are not directly correlated with mood changes in the perinatal period.

      • 폐굴껍질을 산성토양 적용시 토양의 화학적 특성변화에 관한 기초 연구

        Oyster shell has caused environmental problems in the coast. But it is possible to be used as an acidic soil amendment because it is the alkalic material of pH 9.0. In order to evaluate the utility of the crushed oyster shell as a soil amendment, acidic sandy loam soil was amended with it and then Chinese cabbages were cultivated in pots. The amount of the oyster shell was ⅰ)none, ⅱ)0.5kg/㎥, ⅲ)1.0kg/㎥, ⅳ)1.5kg/㎥, ⅴ)2.0kg/㎥ and ⅵ)2.3kg/㎥. The particle size of oyster shell consists of 34.88% of 40∼100mesh and 14.98% of larger than 100 mesh. It increased pH and the contents of available P₂O_(5) and SiO₂ and exchangeable Ca in used soil The application of oyster shell also increased the height and diameter of Chinese cabbages.

        The electric equipment of the recently building is established in underground of the building, it is the actual condition where the immediacy countermeasure preparation which is special regarding an electric equipment is deficient. The dissertation which it sees the case where the mold transformer which is established in the underground enclosure will be flooded minimizes the damage regarding the 1st disaster it could occur and a 2nd disaster in the test Book of Psalms to select the mold transformer which at fundamental phase of the research for is established on th actual underground enclosure, it analyzed the surface discharge voltage which it follows in distance and the electric current corrugated back. It appears with the fact that the recording surface discharge voltage where the analysis result electrode for interval will become larger increases, peek of discharge current highly there is a possibility of knowing the burden. Also, it caused by with increase of the surface discharge hour and the recording discharge hour when the interval of electrode for will become larger to increase also the insulation scandal damage will be augmented with the fact that it is thought.

      • Targeted cellular delivery of robust enzyme nanoparticles for the treatment of drug-induced hepatotoxicity and liver injury

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Direct delivery of proteins into cells has been considered an effective approach for treating the protein-related diseases. However, clinical use of proteins has still been limited due to their instability in the blood and poor membrane permeability. To achieve an efficient cellular delivery of the protein to target cells via a systemic administration, a multifunctional carrier system having desirable stability both in the blood stream and the cells, specific cell-targeting property and endosomal escape functions may be required. In this study, we prepared a catalytic nanoparticle containing an active enzyme by cross-tethering multiple superoxide dismutase (SOD) molecules with catechol-derivatized hyaluronic acid (HA). The permeable shell of hydrophilic HA chains effectively protects the enzyme from degradation in the blood after intravenous administration and provides an additional function for targeting hepatocytes expressing HA receptor (CD44). The structure and catalytic activity of the enzyme molecules in the nanoparticle were not significantly compromised in the nanoparticle. In addition, ultra-small calcium phosphate nanoparticles (USCaP, 2–5 nm) were crystalized and decorated on the surface of the nanoparticle for the efficient endosomal escape after cellular uptake. The SOD-containing nanoparticle fortified with USCaP was used for the treatment of acetaminophen (APAP)-induced fulminant hepatotoxicity and liver injury. The nanoparticle achieved the efficient hepatic cellular delivery of SOD via a systemic administration and resulted in efficient removal of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the liver and remarkable improvement of APAP-induced hepatotoxicity and liver injury in animals.</P> <P><B>Statement of Significance</B></P> <P>Despite the enormous therapeutic potential, the intracellular delivery of proteins has been limited due to their poor membrane permeability and stability. In this study, we demonstrated an active enzyme-containing nanoparticle functionalized by hyaluronic acid and ultra-small size calcium phosphate nanoparticles (2–5 nm) for targeted cellular delivery of superoxide dismutase (SOD). The nanoparticle was designed to integrate all the essential functions, including serum stability, target specificity, and endosomal escape capability, for a systemic delivery of a therapeutic protein to the cells of the liver tissue. The intravenous administration of the nanoparticle efficiently removes reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the liver and remarkably improves the drug-induced hepatotoxicity and the progress of fulminant liver injury in an acetaminophen-overdose animal model.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

        Natural deep eutectic solvents as a storage medium for human interferon-α2: a green and improved strategy for room-temperature biologics

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The inherent vulnerability of protein biologics to high temperature is the origin of their limited use in clinical settings where proper storage and handling systems are not available. Herein, we demonstrate the first application of natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) as a temperature-stable storage medium for a real therapeutic protein, human interferon-alpha 2 (IFN-α2). A formulation of IFN-α2 based on a NADES composed of choline chloride and fructose at a 1:1 molar ratio (CCl:Fru) had no influence on the activity of IFN-α2. The NADES provided an appropriate environment for effective protection of IFN-α2 from thermal denaturation at mid (37°C) and high (70°C) temperatures during long-term (90 days) and short-term (2h) storage. Protein stability in the presence of CCl:Fru was demonstrated by orthogonal or complementary methods, including in vitro activity assay, circular dichroism spectroscopy and extrinsic fluorescence spectroscopy. In view of their biocompatibility, customizable properties, and the simplicity of synthesis and use, NADESs are suggested as a green and improved short-term and long-term storage medium that could facilitate the development of room-temperature biologics.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
