Floristic characteristics of vascular plants and first distributional report of Pseudostellaria baekdusanensis M. Kim in Yongneup wetland protected area

        Young-Chul Kim,Hyun-Hee Chae,Sang-Heock Oh,Seung-Ho Choi2,Moon-Pyo Hong3,Gi-Heum Nam,Jae-Yoon Choi,Hyun-Sook Choi,Kyu-Song Lee 한국환경생태학회 2015 한국환경생태학회지 Vol.29 No.2

Yongneup wetland protected area, the only high moor in Korea, is a core area to conserve biodiversity. Even though the Yongneup wetland protected area is relatively small, various plant species are distributed in the Yongneup wetland protected area because it includes various habitats showing different environmental gradients. Vascular plants distributed in the Yongneup wetland protected area were identified as a total of 376 taxa that is composed of 73 families, 217 genera, 322 species, 3 subspecies, 44 varieties and 7 forms. For endangered plants designated by the Ministry of Environment, 5 species including Trientalis europaea var. arctica, Lilium dauricum, Halenia corniculata, Lychnis wilfordii and Menyanthes trifoliata were found and 34 taxa were confirmed to be distributed only in the mountainous wetland habitats. Regarding naturalized plants, a total of 11 taxa were distributed, but most of them were distributed in the areas where artificial interference has occurred. And in areas inside the wetlands that are relatively well preserved, 2 species of Bidens frondosa and Erigeron annuus were observed. In this study, the occurrence and distribution of Pseudostellaria baekdusanensis M. Kim, which was recently found in Mt. Baekdu and reported as a new species, were identified in the Yongneup wetland protected area. A wetland is a very vulnerable area to drastic environmental changes and damages to its ecosystem could cause the extinction of rare plant species which are distributed only in the wetlands. Therefore, it is mandatory that current status of the Yongneup wetland protected area is evaluated and actions to prevent rapid environmental changes are taken. Fourteen separate investigations were conducted in 2013 and another four in 2014, to evaluate current status of the Yongneup wetland protected area. These investigations have provided us the basic information for future actions of conservation and restoration.

전상환자에서 구순 구각부 결손에 대한 재건의 치험 4례

        최규환,강명수,민복기,정철우 大韓顎顔面成形再建外科學會 1993 Maxillofacial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Vol.15 No.3

A technical refinement for oral commissure reconstruction is presented. The oral commissure has an important role in oral sphincteric function. Once lost, the oral commissure is very difficult to restore and therefore, reconstruction of the oral commissure requires prevention of this function as well as prevention of microstomia. Trauma and tumor excisions are the most frequent reasons that will necessitate reconstruction of the oral commissure. Direct approximation of the wound margins after resection of the corrner of the mouth could easily induce microstmia and difficulty in opening. Thus case presented here deals with distortion of noraml mouth angle and acquired microstomia due to burn and tissue deface following shotgun and explosive wounds. The a mucosal flap approach was used to rehabilitate a natural looking mouth angle showing satisfactory results function and esthetic wise.

      • 入口에 案內管이 있는 開放型 熱 사이폰에 關한 硏究

        최인규,이진호,김철주 연세대학교 대학원 1976 延世論叢 Vol.13 No.2

The experimental study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of the flow fluctuation pheonomena, which occurred in the transition process from the impeded flow regime to the boundary layer flow regime in awl open thermosyphon by placing flow guides at the center of the orifice inlet where fluctuation occurred. The diameter and length of the guides were varied and their effects were investigated. With guides of long length, the fluctuation was not observed, and of medium length, the fluctuation was observed only in case of large diameter. However, when the length of the guides were short, the fluctuation took place just like in case of no guides. In this case, the existance of upward flow in the guide just before fluctuation occurred, resulted in reverse flow of the thermosyphon, however the Nusselt number showed same characteristics when the temperature of the orifice inlet was taken as the thermosyphon outlet temperature instead of as inlet temperature.

      • Laser에서의 協同效果와 非平衡相變化

        崔哲圭,金成九 충남대학교 기초과학연구소 1981 연구논문집 Vol.2 No.-

Laser is a system far away thermal equilibrium. But it has been suggested that the statistical properties of the laser light at threshold have close analogy to the thermodynamic phase transition of equilibrium system. We study the nonequilibrium phase transition of laser light by utilizing the analogy. The Ginzburg-Landau model for the second-order phase transition in ferromagnetic system is introduced and solved by Gaussian approximtion. The order parameter for the laser light is the amplitude of the electric field and the atomic population inversion is a quantity corresponding to the thermodynamic temperature. The quantities associated with the critical indices are discussed together with the fluctuations in the threshold region. The laser light above threshold show a high degree of coherence. The cooperative effects and self-organization producing such a coherent state are discussed in terms of statistical entropy. The description using the entropy is carried out by applying the results of the stochastic theory used for the nonlinear chemical reaction.

This study was conducted to examine ear, nose, and throat diseases of community residents and related factors in Korea. 475 people who were experienced in suffering from the ear, nose, and throat diseases were chosen as the subjects of this study. Data were collected in Daegu, Kimchon, Andong, Pohang, Kyungsan from February 1, 2000 to May 30, 2000. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1. Among ear, nose, and throat diseases, the incidence of throat diseases was highest (42.3%). The incidence rate of nose diseases was 31.9%, while that of ear diseases was 25.7%. The incidence of these diseases were significantly related to the variables of sex, age, occupation, religion, education level, smoking, and drinking. 2. When the respondents were afflicted with ear diseases, 47.7% of them was treated in ear, nose, and throat hospitals or clinics, while 29.4% of them was treated in general hospitals or clinics. 13.2% of them just endured without receiving treatment. 5.7% of them was treated in their homes and 3.9% of them was treated in pharmacies. 3. 28.9% of the respondents was treated for their ear diseases during two weeks; 24.2% 'during one week'; 20.5% 'during three to four days'; 12.6% 'during one to two days'; 9.0% 'during one to two days'; 4.8% 'during over six months'. The period of treatment was significantly related to the variables of sex, age, occupation, marital status, religion, smoking, drinking, and exercise. 4. When the respondents took nose diseases, 27.4% of them was treated in ear, nose, and throat hospitals or clinics, while 24.7% of them was treated in general hospitals or clinics. 18.6% of them just endured without receiving treatment. 17.7% of them was treated in pharmacies and 5.9% of them was treated in their homes. 5. 27.0% of the respondents was treated for their ear diseases during three and four days; 23.6% 'during on week'; 17.3% 'during two weeks'; 13.5% 'during one to two weeks'; 10.0% 'during one to two months'; 8.6% 'during over six months'. The period of treatment was significantly related to the variables of sex, ccupation, religion, education level, smoking, drinking, and exercise. 6. The throat diseases were caused by cold (30.2%), tonsils (29.3%), and bronchitis (15.7%). When the respondents took throat diseases, 26.1% of them was treated in ear, nose, and throat hospitals or clinics, while 25.3% of them was treated in general hospitals. 20.2% of them was treated in pharmacies and 12.4% of them just endured without receiving treatment. 10.3% of them received reatment in clinics, while 5.6% of them was treated in their homes. 7. The level of satisfaction with treatment for ear diseases was 3.58±1.12 points on the basis of 5 points, while that for throat diseases was 3.19±0.085 points. In case of information sources on ear, nose, and throat diseases, 31.8% of the respondents obtained the information from doctors, while 21.4% of them got it from TV or Radio. 15.9% of them obtained it from family members, neighbors, or friends and 10.0% of them obtained it from magazines, newspapers or pamphlet. Only 7.0% of them got it from pharmacists. 8. 67.2% of the respondents thought that mass media dealt with the ear, nose, and throat diseases lightly. 40.6% of them replied that education and publicity of those diseases would be necessary, while 10.7% of them replied those would not be necessary. Among the ear, nose, and throat diseases, the incidence rate of throat diseases was highest (42.3%). The ear diseases showed the highest level of satisfaction with treatment, while the throat diseases displayed the lowest level of satisfaction with treatment. Although the diseases are very serious in Korea, they are dealt with lightly in terms of education and publicity through using mass media. Therefore, the government, otorhinolaryngologists, and related associations must make great efforts to prevent the diseases.

      • '88서울올림픽 레슬링競技 運營實態에 關한 調査硏究

최규철 동국대학교 경주대학 1989 論文集 Vol.8 No.-

After analyzing the management of the wrestling tournament in the Seoul Olympic Games --- especially in four aspects such as its organization and team work, its progress, its implements and its equipments (a training p ; ace and stadium)--- I have come to the following conclusion. A. It seems to me that during the Games, by managing every event in its secial field and making the best use of their potentiality, they have got the 24th Olympics to be a great success. B. In the course of recruiting workers required, the Korean Olympic Committee picked out volunteers, but the workers came together around popular games so that it was to train them to serve at unpopular events instead of popular ones. It often happened that some volunteers to patronize their juniors of follows playing, so some of the events could not but be delayed. I, thus, come to fell that from now on, for the efficient management of the games, you have to ask each event leader to choose required workers, and that you should pick out those who have an interest in the event and a knowledge and mission about the game and who desire to work hard voluntality. C. Even though it has been an unpopular event in Korea for the past threedecades, the wrestling match has made korea known to the world in a lot of international meetings. And we have acknowledged that in the 24th Olympic Games, the match was a popular event because a large number of countries took part in it. D. According to the list of medal winners, the result was as follow : the first was the Soviet Russia, which obtained 8 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals : and the country won an overwhelming victory over Catch-as-can and Gre-Co-Roman : the second was Korea, which secured 2 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals : the forth was Japan, which got 1 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze. It was also revealed that Communist were strong in Greco-Roman and that except for the Russia, both the free would and Communist counties appeared a similar level. E. Seeing the showing, I come to believe that as a personal match, the wrestling is so appropriate for every athlete's body condition that the government should have the event develop in order to enhance the national prestige in the whole world. F. It is, in my opinion, essential that the necessary facilities be taken over in time, for, during the Seoul Olympic, the authorities had a plan to use the Sang Moo gymnasium belonged to the Korean army was making use of the hall as a training place, and it took see long a time to get the permission to use the place that it made the event delayed. G. FILA says that the gymnasium is so small that is has only 5000 seats for the audience--- they say that it should have at least over 7000 ones. There were no seats for the reporters there, so they have to use the corridor for their seating that it would be inconvenient for players and umpires to get to the arena and it made the match delayed. So I believe that to mini-mize trial anderror and to make the event efficient, the builders, the head officers and the businessmen should have discussion about the matter and that we should try not to repeat the same error as we did in the Seoul Plympics.
