In this paper, we study the instantaneous geometric properties of motion of rigid bodies in the Lorentzian plane. For this purpose we define Lorentzian form of Bottemas instantaneous invariants. In these regards, we obtain the necessary and sufficient condition of a Lorentzian plane to be at Cardan position with re-spect to these invariants.

TUBULAR SURFACES WITH MODIFIED ORTHOGONAL FRAME IN EUCLIDEAN 3-SPACE

In this study, tubular surfaces that play an important role in technological designs in various branches are examined for the case of the base curve is not satisfying the fundamental theorem of the differential geometry. In order to give an alternative perspective to the researches on tubular surfaces, the modified orthogonal frame is used in this study. Firstly, the relationships between the Serret-Frenet frame and the modified orthogonal frame are summarized. Then the definitions of the tubular surfaces, some theorems, and results are given. Moreover, the fundamental forms, the mean curvature, and the Gaussian curvature of the tubular surface are calculated according to the modified orthogonal frame. Finally, the properties of parameter curves of the tubular surface with modified orthogonal frame are expressed and the tubular surface is drawn according to the Frenet frame and the modified orthogonal frame.
On Ruled Surfaces with a Sannia Frame in Euclidean 3-space

In this paper we define a new family of ruled surfaces using an othonormal Sannia frame defined on a base consisting of the striction curve of the tangent, the princi pal normal, the binormal and the Darboux ruled surface. We examine characterizations of these surfaces by first and second fundamental forms, and mean and Gaussian curvatures. Based on these characterizations, we provide conditions under which these ruled surfaces are developable and minimal. Finally, we present some examples and pictures of each of the corresponding ruled surfaces.
Use of uncertain numbers for appraising tensile strength of concrete

Splitting tensile strength (STS) is a respectable mechanical property reflecting ability of the concrete. The STS of concrete is mainly related to compressive strength (CS), water/binder (W/B) ratio and concrete age. In this study, the assessment of STS is made by a novel uncertainty-oriented method which uses least square optimization and then predicts STS of concrete by uncertain (fuzzy) numbers. The approximation method addresses a novel integration of fuzzy set theory and multivariate statistics. The numerical examples showed that the method is applicable with relatively limited data. In addition, the prediction of uncertainty at various levels of possibility can be described. In conclusion, the uncertaintyoriented interval analysis can be suggested an effective tool for appraising the uncertainties in concrete technology.

ON CHARACTERIZATIONS OF SPHERICAL CURVES USING FRENET LIKE CURVE FRAME

In this study, we investigate the explicit characterization of spherical curves using the Flc (Frenet like curve) frame in Euclidean 3- space. Firstly, the axis of curvature and the osculating sphere of a polynomial space curve are calculated using Flc frame invariants. It is then shown that the axis of curvature is on a straight line. The position vector of a spherical curve is expressed with curvatures connected to the Flc frame. Finally, a differential equation is obtained from the third order, which characterizes a spherical curve

Cancer prevalance and incidence is increasing with aging of populations and age is a critical factor in decision-making for anti-cancer treatment. However it is believed that chronological age is not enough to guide management in elderly cancer patients. Multidisciplinary evaluation and comprehensive geriatric assessment has gained importance regarding the treatment selection especially for definitive anti-cancer therapy recently. We here aimed to analyse the effect of the comprehensive geriatric assessment parameters on radiotherapy toxicity and tolerability in a series of geriatric cancer patients in Turkey.
