수학영재교육에 관한 고찰

In this study, we investigate the education of talented children in mathematics and the mathematics competitions. The thing we intend to tell is that the enrichment programs for the education of talented children in mathematics related to the mathematics competitions have to be studied. Especially, universities should play an important role in the education of talented children in mathematics and the mathematics competitions.

수학교과서에 나타난 테크놀로지 활용 연구 : 고등학교 수학교과서를 중심으로 with special regard to high school mathematics texts

In this paper, we study on using technology appeared in mathematics texts especially high school mathematics texts. According to the 7th educational curriculum for middle and high school mathematics in Korea, using technology for mathematics education seem to be important. It is necessary to use technology in studying and teaching mathematics and examine problems about how to have used technology in mathematics education. Especially, we investigate models which can be seen in high school mathematics texts. Some proposals were suggested about how to use technology in studying and teaching mathematics.

상대 엔트로피 분해

본 논문에서는 존스의 지표와 상대 엔트로피와의 관계를 연구하였다. 특히, 상대 엔트로피가 분해되기 위한 조건을 제시하였다.

흰쥐에서 lidocaine의 좌골신경내 및 신경외 주입후 발생하는 형태학적 변화에 관한 실험적 연구

Under the local or regional anesthesia, there is a high incidence of inadvertent intraneural injection of local anesthetics. Several studies have reported that intraneural injection should be avoided because of possible nerve injury and also because some local anesthetics may exert direct neurotoxicity on the peripheral nerve. However some other studies showed that intraneural injection did not cause significant nerve injury and that clinically used concentration of lidocaine did not have neurotoxicity. The author experimentally observed the morphological neuronal changes or neurotoxicity through light and electron microscope two weeks after the intraneural injection of 0.9% normal saline, 2% lidocaine HCl, and 1% lidocaine HCl mixed with epinephrine(5 microgram/ml) to rat sciatic nerve and compared the results with perineural injection of the same agents. The results are as follows : 1. In the perineural injection groups, no morphological changes were observed except in the 2% lidocaine group, where occasional axonal degenerations were found. 2. In the intraneural injection groups, all cases showed the varying degrees of axonal degeneration and some showed the findings that suggested of regeneration. 3. In cases showing axonal degeneration, the Schwann's cells and macrophages exerted their phagocytotic action on the degeneration debris. 4. In all groups, there was no evidence of changes in the connective tissues of epineurium perineurium and endoneurium. It is concluded that for regional anesthesia intraneural injection should be avoided and if needed, paresthesia is carefully ellicited and that repeated injection at the short interval is undesirable.

폐경 후 여성의 에스트로젠 보충요법시 병합 투여된 프로제스테론이 골밀도에 미치는 영향

It is well established that estrogen replacement therapy prevents the bone loss associated with postmenopausal state. And progestogens used alone, given in larger amount than that in estrogen replacement therapy, have been shown to reduce the postmenopausal bone loss. However, the impacts of added progestogen during estrogen replacement therapy on the bone mineral densities(BMD) are not well known. For this purpose, we analysed the changes in BMD of 104 postmenopausal women who underwent estrogen replacement therapy at least for 12 months: 36 women received estrogen only(Premarin 0.625mg/day), 41 women received estrogen with cyclic addition of progestogen(medroxyprogesterone, MPA, 10mg/day for 12 days per month), 27 women received estrogen with daily addition of progestogen(MPA 2.5mg daily). Our data revealed that continuous use of MPA in addition to estrogen for one year significantly increased the BMD of lumbar spines(L2-4) by 7.6±1.9% compared to that of before treatment while therapy with estrogen only did not(1.7±1.0%). Also cyclic addition of MPA for one year increased the BMD of lumbar spines by 6.2±1.3% compared to that of before treatment. And the increases in BMD of lumar spines derived from continuous or cyclic use of MPA in addition to estrogen were significantly greater than that from therapy with estrogen only. There was no significant difference in increases in BMD of lumbar spines between cyclic use and continuous use of MPA. And there was no significant difference in increases in BMD of femur neck among three groups. The patients who showed a decrease in BMD by more than 3% at 12 months of treatment compared to pretreatment were as follows: In BMD of lumbar spines, 16.7%(6/36) in therapy with estrogen-only, 2.4%(1/41) in the cyclic use of MPA, 3.7%(1/27) in the continuous use of MPA; In BMD of femur neck, 25.0%(9/36) in therapy with estrogen-only, 22.0%(9/41) in the cyclic use of MPA, 11.1%(3/27) in the continuous use of MPA. The unine calcium/creatinine ratio decreased during therapy in all gropus without a significant difference among three groups. These data showed that added progestogen(MPA) during estrogen replacement therapy significantly increased the bone mineral densities(BMD) of lumbar spines, and suggest that the continuous combined regimen of estrogen and progestogen may be the regimen of choice for the prevention or treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis

Kac Algebras Related To Countable Discrete Groups

본 논문에서는 가산이산군과 관련된 Kac 대수에 대하여 근본연산자(fundamental operator)를 구체적으로 구하고, 이를 이용하여 Kac 대수의 co-Product를 유도하였다. 또 가산이산군이 폰노이만 대수에 작용하는 보통의 군작용이 이 군과 관련된 Kac 대수 작용임을 보였다.

A New Smooth Awn Bailey Cultivar, "Wooho" Suitable for Whole Crop Forage Use

A new barley (Hordeum Vulgare L.) cultivar ‘Wooho’ was developed by Honam National Agricultural Research Institute (HARI) in 2005. It had good forage characteristics (smooth awn) and showed high forage production in the 5 locations of paddy field. ‘Wooho’ was developed from the cross between SB87125〔Oweol//(SB77011)/SB79124 (Bengei//Hagane/ Bunong) ///Y7213-SD607-CM67-Milyang12〕and SB83024 (1012.2-IB65/Ol//Samheung/Suwon18-Gang) made in 1994. Subsequent selections were made throuhg bulked and pedigree selection methods. SB94104-B-B-B-B-79 was selected for smooth awn and agronomic performance in 2001 and placed in preliminary yield trial. In 2003, it was designated as ‘Suwon 396’ and performed regional yield trials. The average forage yield of ‘Wooho’ were 11.0 MT/ha and 10.9 MT/ha at May 20 and drought stage, respectively. The shattering rate of ‘Wooho’ was lower than that of ‘Ol’. It showed superior forage quality to the check variety when harvest early drought stage. ‘Wooho’ would be recommended as a cultivar of barley for whole crop forage with smooth awn.

ON GALOIS GROUPS FOR NON-IRREDUCIBLE INCLUSIONS OF SUBFACTORS

We apply sector theory to obtain some characterization on Gaois groups for subfactors. As an example of a non-irreducible inclusion of small index, a locally trivial inclusion arising from an automorphism is considered and its Galois group is completely determined by using sector theory.

STABILITY OF HOMOMORPHISMS IN BANACH MODULES OVER A C^*-ALGEBRA ASSOCIATED WITH A GENERALIZED JENSEN TYPE MAPPING AND APPLICATIONS

Let $\mathcal{A}$ and $\mathcal{B}$ be unital $C^*$-algebras, Poisson $C^*$-algebras, Poisson $JC^*$-algebras or Lie $JC^*$-algebras. As an application, we show that every almost homomorphism $h:\mathcal{A}{\rightarrow}\mathcal{B}$ of $\mathcal{A}$ into $\mathcal{B}$ is a homomorphism when $h(d^nuy)=h(d^nu)h(y)$ or $h(d^nu{\circ}y)=h(d^nu){\circ}h(y)$ for all unitaries $u{\in}\mathcal{A}$, all $y{\in}\mathcal{A}$, and n = 0, 1, 2, ${\cdots}$. Moreover, we prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of homomorphisms in $C^*$-algebras, Poisson $C^*$-algebras, Poisson $JC^*$-algebras or Lie $JC^*$-algebras, and of Lie $JC^*$-algebra derivations in Lie $JC^*$-algebras.
