        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1997. 99 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 45(45.5%) were PPNG. Conclusion : The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 45.5% in 1997.

        본 미니 게임은 웨이터라는 직업을 모티브로 하여서 남녀노소 누구나 재미를 느낌과 동시에 기억력 향상시켜 주는 게임제작이라는 목적아래 제작되었다.본 논문에서는 이 게임의 제작과정을 기술하고자 한다.이 게임은 제3회 AGC(한국 아마추어 게임제작 공모전)에서 우수 작으로 선정되었다.

        콜로이드 골드 나노입자의 단백질 수송성 평가법

        Colloidal gold nanoparticles might be of use as nano scale delivery systems of various therapeutic materials in the firture. Recent studies have reported the feasibility of colloidal gold nanoparticles as gene delivery systems or protein delivery systems. In this study, we aimed to develop a short-step method useful for screening the optimal coating conditions of colloidal gold nanoparticles with proteins. We observed that colloidal gold nanoparticles have properties of changing its unique color when they were exposed to NaCl solution. Taking advantage of the color changing properties of colloidal gold nano-particles, we applied the color testing method of colloidal gold nanoparticles solutions for evaluating the protein coating nature. Using bovine senim albumin as a model protein, we tested the protein coating of colloidal gold nanoparticles via the color change upon NaCl addition. The optimal coating concentration and coating conditions of colloidal gold nanoparticles with bovine serum albumin were fixed using the color testing methods. We suggest that the color testing method might be applied to optimize the coating condition of colloidal gold nanoparticles with other therapeutic proteins.

      • 유도 결합형 플라즈마에서 In-situ 플라즈마 전자밀도 측정방법 연구

        유도 결합성 플라즈마 발생 장치에서 플라즈마 밀도를 측정하기 위한 In-Situ 플라즈마 진단 방법을 개발하였다. 안테나로 인가된 전력은 모두 플라즈마를 발생시키는데 소모되었다고 가정하여, 전력 균형식으로부터 안테나에 인가된 전력과 플라즈마 내부인자의 함수관계를 유도하고, 안테나 안가 전력의 전류와 전압을 측정하여 전자밀도를 유추할 수 있다. 안테나의 전류와 전압을 실시간으로 측정하는 전력측정 장치를 제작하고, 아르곤 가스를 이용하여 50, 40 및 30 mtorr의 운전 압력에서 인가 전력을 300- 800W로 바꾸어 가면서 실험하였다. 정전 탐침을 이용해서 반옹기 내부에서 직접 얻은 플라즈마 밀도와 안테나에 인가된 전력을 이용하여 측정된 전자밀도의 비율은 인가 전력에 무관하게 일정한 값을 보였으나, 운전 압력에 따라서 0.1 , 0.3 그리고 0.5의 값을 가졌다. 개발된 진단 방법이 운전 압력에 민감하나 플라즈마 밀도 변화를 정성적으로 관측할 수 있는 방법임을 보였다. In-situ plasma density monitoring system in an inductively coupled plasma source has been developed. Assuming the input power delivered only to the plasma generation, the relation between the delivery Power on the antenna and the plasma parameters can be obtained from the power balance equation. The in-situ system to monitor the current and voltage of the antenna was manufactured. Experiments were carried out under Ar gas pressures, 50, 40, and 30 mTorr with varying the rf power from 300 to 500w, respectively. Plasma parameters were measured directly by the electrical probe and compared to the results taken from the power monitoring system. The comparison shows that the power monitoring system was not sensitive to the input power but to the operating pressure. The system can beused monitor the qualitative behaviour of the plasma in the chamber .

      • 미스 반데어 로헤(Ludwig Mies vander Rohe, 1886-1969년)의 구축적 특성에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the career of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe(1886-1969) as a constant struggle between three divergent factors: the technological capacity of the epoch, the aesthetics of avant-gardism, and the tectonic legacy of classical romanticism. Mies effort to resolve these vectors is reading in itself, since it enlightens us as to the nature of the avant-garde and indicate the relative incompatibility of abstract space and tectonic form. The sublime for Mies resided in the quality of the material itself and in the revelation of its essence through careful detailing. Aside from this, the contrasting qualities of different materials become the terms of a binary position in Mies work, comparable to the distinction that semper drew between stereotomic mass and skeletonal, tectonic form. His concern for the precision of tectonic form is always tempered, not only by the infinite space field of the avant-garde and the dematerialized membrane but also by the even-changing forces of technology and time. Within this parameters, the art of building for Mies means the embodiment of the spirit in the banality of the real; the spiritualization of technique through tectonic form.

      • 거푸집-동바리 시스템의 붕괴현황조사 및 원인분석

        This study analyzes the defect causes under the investigation of collapse situation in form-shore system through the analysis of design criteria, loading and work conditions. Specifically, these defect causes can be classified as the three cases from the results of the investigation. Those are the external, design and construction defects which are closely related. So, one defect can induce another defect and this can lead to the collapse accident of form-shore system. Therefore, this study presents the improvement method to solve the problems relating to the design process and the actual construction application according to the defect causes.

      • 다중경로 환경에서 시공간 빔포머를 이용한 시스템의 채널 파라미터 부정합에 대한 성능 평가

        As a channel of a DS-CDMA system is shared among several users, the receivers face the problem of MAI. Also the bandlimited channel leads to ISI. Both components are undesired, but unlike the additive noise process, which is usually completely unpredictable, their space-time structure helps to estimate and remove them. This paper investigates a DS-CDMA system with a fading multipath channel. The investigations have been separated into a channel estimation part and a reception part. In the estimation part of separated two parts, the multipath parameters such as DOA and TOA are evaluated in this paper. In the part of receiver, we used these parameters and tested the performance of this receiver about space-time beamforrners(Decorrelating, Match-Filter, Wiener-Hopf, Subspace-Based). To assess many different estimation techniques and beamformers, the simulation compared with theoretical values is performed.

        ICP(Inductively Coupled Plasma) 처리에 따른 n-type SiGe/Metal contact의 SBH(Schottky Barrier Height) 연구

        The effect of surface treatment of n-type SiGe using the inductively coupled plasma (ICP) was studied by current-voltage and x-ray photoemission spectroscopy measurements. The ICP treatment produced surface oxides and point defects at the surface of SiGe. The x-ray photoemission spectroscopy measurements showed that atomic ratio of Ge/Si was increased after the etching treatment. These results provide the evidence that Si vacancies were produced at the etched surface. Si vacancies acting as donor for electrons resulted in shift of Fermi level to near the conduction band. As a result, Fermi level could be pinned at such Si vacancies, leading to the remarkable reduction of Schottky barrier height and the reduced dependence of Schottky barrier height on metal work function.
