      • Interleukin-2와 결핵균 30 kDa 항원이 구개편도 및 말초혈액 T 세포 증식에 미치는 상승효과

        Widespread use of BCG has not controlled tuberculosis, and more effective vaccines are clearly needed. Although chemotherapy will remain the mainstay of antituberculosis treatment, the use of adjunctive immunotherapeutic modalitites is attractive, particularly in persons with drug-resistant tuberculosis. Administration of IL-2 or IFN-γto tuberculosis patients enhance bacillary elimination. Cell-mediated immunity is the critical protective immune response in tuberculosis. Mycobacterial antigens are recognized by T cells and that elicit production of protective cytokines are potentially important vaccine antigens. The 30 kDa antigen is secreted in large quantities by growing mycobacteria. That antigen elicits greater proliferation in lymphocytes from healthy tuberculin reactors than healthy tuberculin nonreactors. In this study, the T lymphocyte proliferative responses to 30 kDa antigen from Mycobactrium tuberculosis H37Rv were examined by using tonsilar and peripheral blood lymphocytes from PPD(+) and PPD(-) tonsilectomized persons. When cultured with 30 kD antigen, tonsilar mononuclear leukocytes and T cells of PPD(+) demonstrated more ^3H-thymidine incorporation than PPD(-) persons (stimulation index was 2.5 and 1.9, 0.8 and 1.0, repectively). Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and peripheral blood T lymphocytes were shown the similar responses to this antigen. The combination of IL-2 and 30 kDa antigen elicited a significant proliferative responsiveness in tonsilar mononuclear leukocytes and T cells of PPD(+) persons (SI was 20 and 14.1). PBMC and peripheral blood T cells of PPD(+) persons were also shown a significant responsiveness, but PPD(-) persons did not show. These results demonstrate that the 30 kDa antigen and IL-2 have a synergistic stimulatory property in mycobacteria sensitizing lymphocytes.

      • UV/TiO₂ 광촉매산화 복합공정을 이용한 악취 및 VOCs 제거를 위한 장치 개발 연구

        We have developed UV/TiO₂ photocatalytic oxidation combined process to control odor and VOCs in industrial applications. Three types of individual processes are introduced to test of their ability to increase treatment efficiency. Odor and VOC gases such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, formaldehyde and toluene are used for target gas. UV/TiO₂ photocatalytic oxidation combined process with activated carbon was excellent among the three types processes without relation to gas species. It will promise that this new type UV/TiO₂ photocatalytic oxidation combined process can apply industrial applications to remove odorous gases from the emission source. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 악취물질과 VOCs 의 처리 를 목적으로 UV 광촉매산화 복합공정을 이용하여 암모니아와 황화수소 그리고 포름알데히드와 툴루엔의 제거율을 높임으로써 산업공정 등에서 UV 광촉매산화 복합공정의 적용가능성을 검토하였다. 현단계까지는 악취물질의 각 물질별로 전환효율은 낮으나, 본 연구에서 제작된 UV 광촉매산화 복합공정은 악취 물질과 VOCs가 많이 발생되는 산업현장내 근무자로부터 악취물질과 VOCs등 각종 대기오염물질 저감을 위한 장치로서 실용화 가능성을 기대할 수 있다.

      • 神에 대한 硏究 : ≪黃帝內徑≫을 中心으로 focus on ≪Huangdineijing(黃帝內徑)≫

        This thesis was written in order to help set the groundwork of a new medicine based on Shin(神). This new medicine is an advanced system of Hyung(形) focused western medicine and Ki(氣) oriented eastern medicine. In this thesis, I examined the text, 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》and analyzed the important points relating to Shin(神), such as classification, faculty, properties. Shin(神) in 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》is classified according to either its hierarchy or its faculty. Hierarchically, Shin(神) in 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》has two levels; "Cosmos Shin"(天神) and "Human Shin"(人神). Cosmos Shin(天神), which is the "Great Law" is the basis of creation, change, development, extinction of all things in the universe including human. "Human Shin" which represents Shin(神) at the mundane level is the "Basic Principle" of human life, speaking broadly and mental function in a narrow sense. In terms of faculty, Shin(神) in 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》is divided into Shin-myung(神明), Shin-ki(神氣) and Jeong-Shin(精神). Shin-myung(神明) is not only the "Basic Law" which has control over the movements and changes of the universe, but also the "Basic Principle" of human life. Shin-ki(神氣), it can be said, forms of Shin's expression. It means that Shin(神) reveals itself by means of Ki(氣). Jeong-Shin(精神) means mental function which dwells in the body and has a control over thinking, consciousness and judgment. In other words, Shin-myung(神明) indicates Shin's property of controlling or regulating, Shin-ki(神氣) indicates Shin's activity, and Jeong-Shin(精神) indicates both the Shin(神) and body united. In conclusion, all of the aforementioned are only classifications dividing the one Shin(神). Although the Shin may be classified according to the particular situation, it is still the one Shin.

      • 폐결핵 환자 혈청에서 수용성 Interleukin 2 수용체 및 Adenosine Deaminase 활성도에 관한 연구

        Interleukin-2 (IL-2) induces T cell proliferation in an autocrine manner and provides a means by which antigen triggered T cells can be clonally expanded in vitro. During the following activation, the activity of IL-2 is mediated by specific high affinity IL-2 binding membrane receptors which are expressed shortly after activation. In this process, a 42 KD-fragment (soluble IL-2R) is continuously cleaved off and circulates as a soluble marker of T lymphocyte activation. Elevated level of soluble IL-2R has been identified in the serum of patients with malignant autoimmune and allergic disorders, systemic parasitic infection, undergoing graft versus host disease, acute or chronic lymphocytic leukemia and HIV-infection. ADA (adenosine deaminase) completes the process of differentiation of T cell and is essential for progression of T cell maturation. Therefore level of ADA is to correlated with magnitude of T cell immune response. The fact that expression of sIL-2R and ADA activity increases in peripheral blood T-lymphocytes of patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis suggests that T cell activation might have a major role in the pathogenesis of pulmonary tuberculosis. In order to evaluate the T cell immune response in pulmonary tuberculosis, we measured the serum concentration of sIL-2R and ADA activity in 17 patients with current pulmonary tuberculosis, 10 chronic inactive pulmonary tuberculosis, 10 as normal controls. (1) Current pulmonary tuberculosis had significantly higher levels of sIL-2R (237.24±95.47)when compared with those of inactive tuberculosis (78.6±11.06). and the control (68.17±15.4) group. (2) ADA activity in current pulmonary tuberculosis was significantly increased (34.41±20.63) when compared with those of inactive tuberculosis (24.7±14.36) and control (17.65± 5.94) group. (3) There was good correlation between sIL-2R concentration and ADA activity in serum in current pulmonary tuberculosis group. (4) sIL-2R concentration and ADA activity was decreased significantly 6 months after anti-tuberculosis drug medication. In conclusion, sIL-2R concentration and ADA activity in serum in current pulmonary tuberculosis group was increased when compared with those of inactive pulmonary tuberculosis and the control group. By the way, T cell mediated immune response was enhanced in current pulmonary tuberculosis, but in inactive chronic pulmonary tuberculosis who had treated by antituberculosis drug medication, the concentration of sIL-2R and ADA activity was nearly normal.

        The programmer in the distributed environment is often faced with problems when writes a communication code. One is written the codes by hand and the other is by CORBA IDL compiler. When the programmer writes the code by hand then the speed of the program may be increased, but the human effort required to implement and maintain is greatly increased. If the code is generated using a CORBA IDL compiler then programmer effort will be reduced, but the performance of the Application program may be poor. In this paper, we suggests the way that the stub code is maintain the enough free space before marshaling the data into message buffer. This methods were increased the performance of Application program and solved the problems that optimizing of code.

        컨테이너 운송용 AGV의 운동궤적에 관한 연구

        In this study, we have developed the simulation tool in order to investigate driving trajectory of AGV for container transport. AGV for container transport is different from the indoor AGV in that it is a large size structure at being loaded the weight of 40 ton. And AGV for container transport is applied to front wheel steering, rear wheel steering, all wheel steering, and crap steering. Therefore, we have developed the simulation tool considering dynamic problems and a center of turning in accordance with fourth ways of steering mode. As the result of this study, we have confirmed that this tool is useful and cost-effective in the dynamic analysis or large size vehicles. Also, it is useful to calculate the minimum radius of turning for large size vehicles.

      • 산화물 첨가제가 질화규소의 소결에 미치는 영향

        The influence of various additives on the densification during pressureless sintering of sillcon nitride was investigated. The sintering aids used were Y₂O₃, AI₂O₃and CeO₂. Commercial grade α-Si₃N₄powder with average particle size=0.5㎛ was mixed with 5 to 15 wt% these aids(purity; 99.99%) with particle size below 10㎛. The mixture were sintered pressurelessly at 1600. 1700 and 1750℃ under N₂atmosphere. X-ray diffration analysis and SEM observation were performed, respectively. to analize the α-βphase transformation and second phases and to observe grain growth and morphology of Si₃N₄.

        유기산 완충용액의 포화도가 법랑질 및 상아질의 재광화에 미치는 영향과 수산화인회석의 AFM 관찰

        Dental caries is the most common disease in the maxillofacial area. There are many factors contributing to its developnent , bu complete understanding and prevention is not fully known. Since the structure of the coronal and root portion of the tooth is different, the remineralization and demineralization process is also known to be different. In this study, by using a partially saturated buffer solution, we created artificial enamel and dentin caries and evaluated mineral loss. A remineralization solution with four different degrees of saturation (degree of saturation , group 1, 0.268, group 2, 0.309 group 3, 0.339, group 4, 0.390, PH 4.3, F-2ppm) was used on a demineralized specimen. The mineral precipitating quantity and depth was evaluated by using microradiography. Using an atomic force microscope(AFM) . hydroxyapatite crystals of normal, demineralized. and reminenalized enamel and dentin were evaluated. The results were as follow: 1.As the degree of saturation of the remmeralizlng solution increased. the mineral precipitaion in the enemel was increased. In group4. mineral precipitaion was limited near the surface 2.As the degree of saturation of the remineralizing solution increased, the mineral precipitation in the dentin was decreased and it occured in a deeper portion. In group 4, however, mineral precipitation occurred on the surface and its quantity increased 3.There was a statistically significant interaction between enamel and dentin mineral content changes on specimens treated with remineralization and demineralization solution (demineralization r = 0.44 remineralization r= 0.44, p〈0.05) . 4.Demineralized hydroxyapatite crystal showed central and perpheral dissolving and widening of inter crystal spaces under the AFM 5.In dentin remineralization small crystral precipitaion occurred between by the large crystals We conclude that by adjusting acidulated buffer solution's degree of saturation, we can control of enamel and dentin reminetalization. In addition. the AFM is highly useful in evaluating changes in remineralized and demineralized hydroxyapatite crystals.

        Experimental results from the cycle lateral load tests for post-tensioned precast wide beam-column connections were presented. Six exterior beam-column assemblages of half scale were tested in the laboratory. The specimens consist of U-shaped precast wide beams and concrete columns. The continuity at the beam-column joint is achieved with the topping concrete and post-tensioning. The specimens were designed with parameters of the beam-to-column depth ration and the number of tendons within column core. The test results showed that the post-tensioned precast wide beam-column connection satisfied the provisional standard by ACI of acceptance criteria for concrete special moment frames.
