The purpose of this study this study was to comparative analysis the V02max and HR through arm ergometer exercise, bicycle ergometer exercise, and treadmill exercise and to propose correct data of aerobic ability according to GXT. Subjects for study were 8 healthy male students. The process of the test were performed maximal GXT on arm ergometer exercise, bicycle ergometer exercise, and treadmill exercise and measured V02max, max heart rate and recovery time of 3 VO2 and heart rate respectively. The conclusions were supported by the findings of this study: 1.There were significant differences between test style and V02/kg/min(p<.05). 2.There were significant differences between test style and test stage at heart rate(p<.05) There were no effect of reciprocal action. Therefore, V02/kg/min should be on individual exercise prescription guiedlines for health promotion should be provided proper GXT which are arm ergometer exercise, bicycle ergometer exercise, and treadmill exercise.

In this paper, we want to operate the freeboard with the MyQSL. In addition, we proposed that the MyQSL gives the capability to search, upload and correct data as well as to ask a question and give an answer from the free board.

Colon cancer is the second most common malignancy in Korea. It is classified as superficial type, the mass type, the ulcerative type, the ulceroinfiltrative type, the diffuse infiltrative type and the unclassified type according to the colonoscopic findings. We report here on a case of colon cancer that was initially misdiagnosed as acute infectious colitis at the initial presentation. A 64-year-old man visited to Yeungnam University Hospital for watery diarrhea and lower abdominal pain. Colonoscopy revealed long segmental edematous mucosa and hyperemic mucosa with stenosis in the transverse colon. He was diagnosed as having acute infectious colitis according to the colonoscopic finding. However, two days later after colonoscopy, he visited the emergency room for hematochezia. We performed computerized tomography (CT) and obtained blood samples to find the origin of the bleeding. We found thickening of the transverse colon lumen and ascites on the CT finding and an elevated level of tumor markers; we also obtained the results of the colonoscopic biopsy that was done via colonoscopy. He was finally diagnosed as having colon cancer with carcinomatosis, a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma.

Also HTML is acted well in the Web browser. The Web programming which tested in this paper was very simple and easy. We tested a datagram to upload, modify, and delete in the Web browser.

마우스의 BCG감염이 R.tsutsugamushi의 증식에 미치는 영향

It has recently been reported that gamma-inteferon(INF-r) and tumor necrosis factor(TNF) or lipopplysaccharide(LPS) activate macrophages to kill intracellular parasites by means of nitrc oxide (NO). It is now generally accepted that NO is the endothelium-derived relaxing factor, and that it also paticipates in the regulation of the nervous and immune systems. Activated macrophages form NO?? and NO?? from the terminal guanidino nitrogen atoms of L-arginine by the process now known to proceed via the formation of NO. This pathway is inhibited by the L-arginine analog(N?? monomethyl-L-arginine; N??MMA), forms L-citrulline as a co-product and is responsible for the cytotoxic action of macrophages. In this study, the authors found that INF-r and/or LPS induced murine macrophages to kill Rickettsiae tsutsugamushi in vitro and macrophages from BCG-infected mice got the host resistance against R.tsutsugamushi in vitro as well as in vivo. The rickettsicidal effect induced by the combination of INF-r and/or LPS induced mice got the host resistance against R.tsutsugamushi in vitro as well as in vivo. The rickettsicidal effect induced by the combination of INF-r and/or LPS can also be completely inhibited by N??MMA, leading to a dose-dependent inhibition of NO production. These datademonstrate that INF-r and/or LPS as well as BCG-activated macrophages mediate host resistance aganist R.tsutsugamushi infection through NO, which is necessary for the intracellular parasite.

태권도 품새 수련이 아동의 심박수, 심근산소소비량, 에너지 대사에 미치는 영향

The Taegeuk Poomse 1 through 8 of Taekwondo are based upon eight major branches of philosophical theories. The propose of this study was to investigate the nfluence of Taekwondo poomse trainning on heart rate, MVO2, energy metabolism in primary school students. Subjects for this study were eight male the fifth∼sixth grades students who participated in exercise program consist of Taekwondo poomse trainning in dojang which is located in Shinlim-2dong, Kwanak-Gu, Seoul(12.7± 0.5years, 150.8 ±4.6cm, 45.1 ± 9.4kg, 24.9 ± 9trainning length). The results of thet this study are as follows: 1) The average of heart rate was Taegeuk Poomse 1 through 8 of Taekwondo 90.57± 4.gbeats/min in rest and 139.7 ± 17.5beats/min in exercise. The minimum heart rate was 89.0±2.8, peak heart rate was 167.1 ±6.4 in exercise. It was ranged from 42% to 80% 2) of the max heart rate and ranged 42 to 65%HRmax. Taegeuk 1 Jang was differenced with others Jangs significantly(p<0.05), 2) The time of the Taegeuk 1 through 8 Jang of Taekwondo was 5minutes 12seconds. Heart rate was ranged from 90.6 ± 7.85beats/min to 171.8 ±8.Ibeats/min and increased linearly. 3) The average of the MVO2 was 11.1 ±0.78mmHg · bpm-3 in rest and 19.1 ± 1.2mmHg ㆍbpm-3 in exercise. MVO2 was ranged from 10.5mmHg · bpm-3 to 20.3mmHg · bpm-3. There were not difference between Taegeuk Poomses(p<0.05). 4) The energy metabolism was as follows: Mean VO2 Respiratory exchange ratio, energy consumption were 0.51(V02L/min),0.71(RQ),2.32Ckca1/min) in rest respectively. but In exercise Mean VO2 Respiratory exchange ratio, energy consumption were 0.89 ± 0.18( V 02L/min), 0.79±0.08(RQ), 4.26±0.51(kcal/min) respectively . The difference was only between Taegeuk 1 Jang and Taegeuk 3 Jang(p<0.05). This study showed that the Taekwondo Poomse trainning was proper exercise for fitness, body composition and weight control in normal, abnormal(obese) children because the Taekwondo trainning are dynamic and exciting sport.

A comparison study of the effects of loratadine-pharmacopuncture and loratadine-oral administration based on traditional Korean medicine theory on anaphylactic reaction in mice

Pharmacopuncture, or herbal acupuncture, is a new form of therapy derived from combinations of two traditional therapeutic methods, herbal medicine and acupuncture therapy. To compare the efficacy between loratadine-pharmacopuncture (LP) and loratadine-oral administration (LO), the effect of loratadine was investigated in murine models. Anti-anaphylactic effects of loratadine treatments were investigated in compound 48/80-induced systemic anaphylactic reaction and passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA). LP treatment significantly inhibited the compound 48/80-induced systemic anaphylactic reaction and PCA. The effect between LP and LO were on a similar level. These results indicate that LP can be used as an alternative method for LO in case of emergency.

Case Reports : Calcinosis Cutis at the Tarsus of the Upper Eyelid

Calcinosis cutis involves the inappropriate deposition of calcium within the dermis layer of the skin, and is often associated with rheumatoid disease. A 42-year-old woman presented for evaluation of a hard palpable mass on the left upper eyelid. After everting the eyelid, a large papillomatous mass with a broad base was identified on the superior area of the tarsus. The lesion was partially excised posteriorly under local anesthesia, and pathologists identified the mass as calcinosis cutis. The patient had no systemic or trauma history, and the serum levels of calcium and phosphorous were normal. Idiopathic calcinosis cutis should be included in the differential diagnosis for a protruding papillomatous mass of the tarsal plate, and surgical debulking could be a viable option for large protruding lesions, although more follow-up is necessary to monitor regrowth.

Cutaneous metastasis of ovarian serous adenocarcinoma on the lower limb

Skin metastasis of ovarian cancer is known to be quite uncommon. Most cases of skin metastasis of ovarian cancer reported up to date were located on the trunk, sparing the extremities. We report the case of a 60-year-old woman who had a subcutaneous nodular lesion on her left thigh, which was diagnosed as skin metastasis of ovarian serous adenocarcinoma. She first noticed the nodule 42 months after the initial diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Morphologically mimicking a benign lesion such as lipoma or epidermal cyst, the diagnosis of the lesion was a challenge. Despite multiple sessions of chemotherapy, she died 3 months after the diagnosis of the skin metastasis. Together with a concise review of the literature, we report our institution’s first case of skin metastasis in ovarian cancer.

FC 1-5 : Efficacy of asymmetric siRNA targeting androgen receptor for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia

Background: Asymmetric small interfering RNA (asiRNA) can inhibit expression of a target gene efficiently, and can be a therapeutic option for various diseases. Androgenic alopecia (AGA) is caused by genetics and sensitivity to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which binds to androgen receptor (AR) and leads to hair loss. Objectives: To evaluate the therapeutic potential of asiRNA(AR), an asiRNA developed to silence AR gene, for the treatment of AGA. Methods: Human dermal papilla (DP) cells, C57BL/6 mice, and ex vivo human scalp tissues were stimulated with DHT with or without treatment with asiRNA(AR), and the change in expression of AR as well as other molecules implicated in hair growth were evaluated. Also, the mean diameter of hair bulb and the proportions of telogen hair in ex vivo scalp tissues were determined after exposure to DHT with or without asiRNA(AR). Results: After treatment with asiRNA(AR) in DP cells, no significant toxicity was observed, and the expression of AR was downregulated. Also, treatment with asiRNA(AR) attenuated DHT-induced increase in IL-6, TGFβ1, and DKK1. In the asiRNA(AR)-treated group, the proportion of telogen hair was lower, and the mean hair bulb diameter was thicker than the control stimulated with DHT only. Local injection of asiRNA(AR) in DHT-induced mice resulted in hair growth promotion. Conclusion: Downregulation of AR expression and prevention of DHT-induced changes could be achieved with asiRNA(AR). Thus, it could be a therapeutic option for AGA.
