The purpose of this study is to find the method which minimizes the anti-function of development in the coastal region of Saemangeum area. Therefore, the construction of submerged breakwater could minimizes and compensate the negative impacts on the marine environment and ecosystem caused by the Saemangeum reclamation. The construction of submerged breakwater is the possibility of mitigation of mitigation in the fisheries ground. This study investigated experimentally hydraulic characteristics by change of the crest width, submergence and porosity.
코로나 플라즈마 처리에 의한 HDPE 표면의 개질에 관한 연구

We are able to generate the stable plasma in open air and nitrogen using a corona plasma treatment system(CPTS) with a high voltage. This was applied to treat the surface of rather non-polar HDPE(High Density Polyethylene) intended for the improvement of adhesion of over-coated layers such as coatings, printing inks. The surface tension of HDPE was significantly improved by the CPTS. The characteristics of surface layer were evaluated by means of contact angle measurement, ATR-FT/IR spectroscopy, and it was found that functional groups were introduced into the surface layer of the HDPE. The use of nitrogen was increased the surface tension of the HDPE from 33.8 mJ/m^2 to 66.56 mJ/m^2, and highly effective method of HDPE surface modification could be realized.

Aspicilia humida Lee is described as a new lichen-forming fungus from a wetland forest, South Korea. The new species is distinguishable from Aspicilia aquatica (Fr.) Korb., the most € similar species, by the absence of prothallus, black disk without green color in water, olive- brown epihymenium, shorter hymenium, hymenium I þ yellowish blue-green, wider paraphy- sial tips without a vivid pigment, smaller asci, smaller ascospores, and the presence of stictic acid. Molecular analyses employing internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and mitochondrial small subunit (mtSSU) sequences strongly support A. humida as a distinct species in the A. cinerea group. A surrogate key is provided to assist in the identification of all 28 aspicilioid species of Korea.

<P>An ultra-small integrated photonic temperature sensor has been proposed and demonstrated which incorporates a silicon ring resonator linked to a vertical grating coupler. It was manufactured using a 0.18 관m standard CMOS process, rendering a homogeneous integration into other electrical/optical devices. The temperature variation was measured by monitoring the shift in the resonant wavelength of the silicon resonator, which was induced by the thermo-optic effect and the thermal expansion effect. The dependence of its sensing capability upon the waveguide width of the resonator was intensively probed both theoretically and experimentally. The best achieved sensitivity was about 83 pm/°C for a waveguide width of 500 nm, while the sensitivity was boosted by ~10 pm/°C by adjusting the waveguide width from 300 nm to 500 nm. Finally, the response speed of the sensor was as fast as ~6 관s.</P>

Objective Circulating cell-free tumor DNA (cfDNA) is the DNA released by apoptotic and necrotic cells of the primary tumor into the blood during the period of tumor development. The cfDNA reflects the genetic and epigenetic alterations of the original tumor. TP53 mutations are a defining feature of high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma. We optimized the methods for detecting TP53 mutations in cfDNA from blood samples. We confirmed the correlation of TP53 mutation in primary ovarian cancer tissue and it in cfDNA using digital polymerase chain reaction (dPCR). Methods We found 12 frequent mutation sites in TP53 using The Cancer Genome Atlas and Catalogue of Somatic Mutations in Cancer data and manufactured 12 primers. The mutations in tissues were evaluated in fresh-frozen tissue (FFT) and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue (FFPET). We performed a prospective analysis of serial plasma samples collected from 4 patients before debulking surgery. We extracted cfDNA and calculated its concentration in blood. dPCR was used to analyze TP53 mutations in cfDNA, and we compared TP53 mutations in ovarian cancer tissue with those in cfDNA. Results Ten primers out of 12 detected the presence of TP53 mutations in FFT, FFPET, and cfDNA. In FFT and FFPET tissue, there were no significant differences. The average cfDNA concentration was 2.12±0.59 ng/mL. We also confirmed that mutations of cfDNA and those of FFT were all in R282W site. Conclusion This study developed detection methods for TP53 mutations in cfDNA in ovarian cancer patients using dPCR. The results demonstrated that there are the same TP53 mutations in both ovarian cancer tissue and cfDNA.
Identification of Impact Factors in Ship-to-Ship Mooring Through Sensitivity Analysis

With the recent increase in the volume of liquid cargo transportation, there is a need for STS( Ship To Ship) globally. In the case of the STS mooring, the safety assessment should be conducted according to other criteria because mooring is different from the general mooring at the quay, but there is no separate standard in Korea. Thus in this study, STS mooring simulation and sensitivity analysis using OPTIMOOR program, the numerical analysis program, was conducted to identify the characteristics of the STS mooring. The target sea modeled the Yeosu port anchorage in Korea and the target ship was selected as the case of VLCC (Very Large Crude Oil Carrier)-VLCC. Through the numerical simulation and sensitivity analysis, the characteristics of STS mooring were identified. Also based on these results, we focused on establishing the standard for STS mooring safety assessment. Numerical simulation results show that the STS mooring safety can be changed according to a ship's cargo loading condition, pre-tension of mooring line, sea depth, encounter angle with the weather, and the weather condition. Additionally, the risk matrix is prepared to establish the safe external force range in the corresponding sea area. This result can be used to understand the mooring characteristics of STS and contribute to the revision of mooring safety assessment criteria.
RCEPD With Enhanced Light Absorption by Crown-Shaped Quantum Well

<P>A high-performance resonant cavity enhanced photodetector (RCEPD) is developed by introducing an InGaAs/GaAs crown-shaped quantum well (CSQW) structure. In calculation, the absorption coefficient of the proposed CSQW structure is significantly enhanced by 47.8% compared with that of the conventional QW without increasing the electric field due to the large overlap of electron/hole-wave functions. To verify the feasibility of our proposed QW structure, we fabricate RCEPDs with a designed CSQW and the conventional QW structure. The fabricated CSQW-RCEPD exhibits a maximum quantum efficiency of 45.4%, an improvement of 36.2% in comparison with the conventional RCEPD. Moreover, the spectral bandwidth is 4.7 nm in the CSQW-RCEPD, which is in good agreement with the calculated result. The RCEPD with enhanced light absorption using a CSQW structure is highly promising for optical interconnect and sensing applications.</P>
폐롭스카이트형 산화물 촉매에 의한 프로필렌의 완전산화반응

비금속 촉매인 페롭스카이트형 산화물(ABO₃)을 제조하여, 자동차 배기가스중에 포함되어 있는 탄화수소중의 하나인 프로필렌에 대한 완전산화반응 촉매로 이용하였다. 촉매는 고온소성법에 의하여 제조하였으며, 제조된 촉매는 소성온도가 낮아짐에 따라 촉매의 표면적이 크고 활성이 좋았다. LaCoO₃와 LaMnO₃ 촉매에 있어서 A-점이온의 일부가 적당량의 Sr로 치환됨에 따라 활성이 향상되었으며, LaMn0₃ 보다는 LaCoO₃의 활성이 더 좋았다. 이는 촉매의 환원능과 밀접한 관계가 있음을 알았다. 미량의 백금을 doping시킨 촉매는 원촉매보다 활성이 좋았고, SO₂에 대한 피독에도 강하였다. 미분형반응기를 이용하여 반응차수를 결정하였으며, 반응온도가 증가함에 따라 프로필렌의 반응차수는 증가한 반면, 산소의 반응차수는 감소하였다. Perovskite-type oxides(ABO₃) were prepared and used for the complete oxidation of propylene which is one of hydrocarbons in the automobile exhaust gas. Perovskite catalysts were prepared at different calcination temperatures, and the lower calcination temperature gave the higher activity and surface area of the catalyst. In the case of LaCoO₃ and LaMnO₃, substitution of proper amount of Sr into A-site enhanced the activity, and Co showed higher activity than Mn for B-site. The results were explained with the reducibility of the catalysts. The catalysts doped with the trace amount of Pt showed higher activity and better resistance to sulfur poisoning by SO₂ than those without Pt. The reaction orders were determined, and the orders with respect to propylene and oxygen were increased and decreased with the increase of reaction temperature, respectively.

Pap smear were performed to 30,294 women living in the north-west of Chung-nam. The result are summarized below 1. Positive vaginal cytology was 1.09 percent. 2. 72 percents women in their 30's and 40's experienced vaginal cytology. 3. Vaginal cytology was performed at a decreasing rate as age increases. 4. Positive cytology rate is 2.42% higher than average for elderly women over the age of 65. The present date indicates that pap smear is being widely recognized to be important but they needs to be continued advocacy for pap smear.
