        Secure and Fine-grained Electricity Consumption Aggregation Scheme for Smart Grid

        Currently, many of schemes for smart grid data aggregation are based on a one-level gateway (GW) topology. Since the data aggregation granularity in this topology is too single, the control center (CC) is unable to obtain more fine-grained data aggregation results for better monitoring smart grid. To improve this issue, Shen et al. propose an efficient privacy-preserving cube-data aggregation scheme in which the system model consists of two-level GW. However, a risk exists in their scheme that attacker could forge the signature by using leaked signing keys. In this paper, we propose a secure and fine-grained electricity consumption aggregation scheme for smart grid, which employs the homomorphic encryption to implement privacy-preserving aggregation of users’ electricity consumption in the two-level GW smart grid. In our scheme, CC can achieve a flexible electricity regulation by obtaining data aggregation results of various granularities. In addition, our scheme uses the forward-secure signature with backward-secure detection (FSBD) technique to ensure the forward-backward secrecy of the signing keys. Security analysis and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can achieve forward-backward security of user’s electricity consumption signature. Compared with related schemes, our scheme is more secure and efficient.

The insufficiencies and their corresponding improving measures were also pointed out during the evaluating process.

        西北汉简所见军政系统官俸问题补遗

        西漢왕조는 河西지역을 점령한 이후 통치를 공고히 하기 위해 엄밀한 烽燧체계를 설치하였고, 도위, 후로부터 후장, 수장에 이르는 일련의 군정 계통 관원을 배치하여 질급의 고하에 따라 수량이 서로 다른 봉록을 지급하였다. 이에 관해서는 출토된 西北간독에 매우 많은 기술이 있다. 학계에서는 이런 기재에 근거해 서로 다른 각도에서 연구를 진행하여 西北 변경 軍政 계통 官吏 봉록 지급의 절차, 액수 등을 기본적으로 복원하였다. 당연히 漢簡 중 일부 기술은 비교적 모호하기 때문에 봉록과 관련된 일부 문제에 대해서는 더 진전된 연구를 할 여지가 남아 있다. 본고는 賦錢과 官俸의 관계, 實物 俸祿의 지급과 사용 및 俸祿체계에 따른 基層 官吏의 생활 수준 등 문제에 대해 기존 연구자들의 설을 보충하고자 한다. 최소한 西北 변경지역 小吏가 처한 입장에서 보자면, 국가 俸祿에만 의지할 경우 그 생활은 곤란을 면치 못하게 된다. 비록 그들은 변경 방위조직의 주체와 骨幹을 구성하고 있었지만 그 생존 상태로 말하자면 점점 더 어려워지는 경향을 면할 수 없었고 사실상의 役吏가 되었다. 다른 한 측면으로, 漢代 국가는 전략적으로 西北 변경지역을 국가 방어의 중심으로 삼고 있었기에 인력과 물자 모두 힘을 다해 공급하고자 하였다. 그러나 基層 軍吏가 받는 月俸이라는 경제적인 측면에서 보자면 西北 변경지역의 입지를 공고히 하는 것은 이미 어려운 일이었음을 짐작할 수 있다. 따라서 東漢 전기에 이르게 되면 전략적으로 河西 지역을 포기해야 한다는 의견이 나오게 된다. 이는 또한 漢代 河西지역 경영 실태를 단적으로 보여주는 것이다. The revenue from poll tax was one of the main sources of officials’ salaries. In addition, official salaries were also derived from the goods of the Transportation Regulation policy. Salaries were not the only use of poll tax revenue. On the northwest border, cash payments were sometimes replaced by payments in kind, most of which were grains and silk. Furthermore, sheepskin, arnebia euchroma, cloth and more could also be used as salaries. Payments in kind as monthly salaries were mainly distributed to grass-roots officials, such as Houzhang, Houshi and Suizhang, as they were worth less than cash. Payments in kind for senior officials" salaries during special periods reflected striving for protection of their economic interests. The payment of salaries in kind was closely related to the deterioration of their financial situation. It was difficult for the lower-level officials to maintain their daily living expenses with their salary income and they were even forced into debt. In terms of their living conditions, they inevitably tended to be humbled. As a result, it was difficult for the Han government to consolidate the economy of the northwest frontier.

      • Prognostic Significance of GSTP1, XRCC1 and XRCC3 Polymorphisms in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Patients

        Aim: Individual differences in chemosensitivity and clinical outcome in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy may be due to genetic factors. Our study aimed to investigate the prognostic role of GSTP1, XRCC1 and XRCC3 in NSCLC patients treated with chemotherapy. Methods: A total of 460 cases were consecutively selected from The Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University between Jan. 2003 to Nov. 2006, and all were followed-up until Nov. 2011. Genotyping of GSTP1 Ile105Val, XRCC1 Arg194Trp, XRCC1 Arg399Gln and XRCC3 Thr241Met was conducted by duplex polymerase-chain-reaction with confronting-two-pair primer methods. Results: Patients with GSTP Val/Val exhibited a shorter survival time, and had a 1.89 fold greater risk of death than did those with the IIe/IIe genotype. For XRCC1 Arg194Trp, the variant genotype Trp/Trp was significantly associated with a decreased risk of death from NSCLC when compared with the Arg/Arg. Individuals carrying XRCC1 399Gln/Gln genotype had a longer survival time, with a lowered risk of death from NSCLC. Conclusion: This study indicated that GSTP1 Ile105Val, XRCC1 Arg194Trp and XRCC1Arg399Gln genes have a role in modifying the effect of platinum-based chemotherapy for NSCLC patients in a Chinese population. Our findings provide information for therapeutic decisions for individualized therapy in NSCLC cases.

        Summer Precipitation Changes over the Yangtze River Valley and North China: Simulations from CMIP3 Models

        We present a study of summer precipitation changes overthe Yangtze River Valley (YRV) and North China (NC) simulatedfrom 20 models of the CMIP3 (phase 3 of the Coupled Model IntercomparisonProject). It is found that the LASG-FGOALS-g1.0 (fgoals)model has the highest ability in simulating both the interannualvariability of individual regions and the seesaw pattern of the tworegions observed during the past few decades. Analyses of atmosphericcirculations indicate that the variability in precipitation isclosely associated with the 850 hPa meridional winds over the tworegions. Wetness in the YRV and dryness in NC are corresponding tostrong meridional wind gradient and weak meridional wind overthese two regions, respectively. The ability of a coupled generalcirculation model (CGCM) to simulate precipitation changes in theYRV and NC depends on how well the model reproduces bothobserved associations of precipitation with overlying meridionalwinds and observed meridional wind features in summer. Analysis offuture precipitation changes over the two regions projected by thefgoals model under the IPCC scenarios B1 and A1B suggests asignificant increase of 7-15% for NC after 2040s due to thestrengthened meridional winds, and a slight increase over the YRVdue to less significant intensification of the Mei-yu front.

        <P>This paper proposes a modified engineered-potentialwell (MW) for NAND flash memory application. The MW was formed by using a transitional SiO<SUB>2</SUB>/SiO<SUB>x</SUB>,Na-TiO<SUB>x</SUB>,N<SUB>y</SUB> tunnel barrier, a trap-rich TiO<SUB>2</SUB> trapping layer, and an abrupt SiO<SUB>2</SUB> block barrier. The transitional tunnel barrier shrinks to enhance the tunneling of carriers during programming/erasing (P/E) and extends to suppress charge loss during data retention. Deep-level transient spectroscopy suggests that this tunnel barrier has few shallow traps after a N<SUB>2</SUB> + O<SUB>2</SUB> thermal treatment, and the TiO<SUB>2</SUB> trapping layer has deep electron traps. With the variable tunnel barrier and deep electron traps, the MW device showed promising performance in fast programming (<; μs) at low-voltage operation (7-10 MV/cm), good P/E endurance (> 10<SUP>6</SUP> P/E cycles), large threshold voltage window (ΔV<SUB>th</SUB> =M> V), as well as improved data retention at 125 °C.</P>

        Analysis on Robust Passivity of Uncertain Neural Networks with Time-Varying Delays via Free-Matrix-Based Integral Inequality

        This paper investigates the robust delay-dependent passivity problem of neural networks (NNs) with time-varying delays and parameter uncertainties. A suitable augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) with triple integral term, which takes full use of the neuron activation function conditions and the information of time-delay in integral term, is constructed. Furthermore, by utilizing integral inequality proposed recently and the combining reciprocally convex method to estimate the derivative of the LKF, some less conservative robust passivity conditions are derived in terms of LMI. The superiority of presented approaches are demonstrated via two classic numerical examples.

        A New Chromone Glycoside from Rhododendron spinuliferum

        A new chromone glycoside, 3,5,7-trihydroxylchromone-3-O-α-L-arabinopyranoside (1), together with quercetin (2), (+)-catechin (3), (-)-epi-catechin (4) were isolated from the aerial parts of Rhododendron spinuliferum. The structure of 1 was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic and 2D-NMR spectral analysis. In addition, 1 exhibited mild inhibitory effect on NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells.

        Fractional order viscoelasticity in characterization for atrial tissue

        Atrial tissue due to its solid-like and fluid-like constituents shows highly viscoelastic properties. Up to now, the distribution pattern of muscle fiber in heart is not well established, and it is hard to establish the constitutive model for atrial tissue completely based on the microstructure level. Consider the equivalence between the fractional viscoelasticity and the fractal spring-dashpot model, a generalized fractional order Maxwell model is proposed to model the porcine atrial tissue in the phenomenological sense. This model has a simple expression and intuitively physical meanings. The constitutive parameters in the model are estimated in the complex domain by a genetic algorithm. Final results illustrate the proposed model gets a well agreement with the experimental data.
