The effects of ES (epoxy silane) content, GB (glass bead) diameter, and surface treatments with the atmospheric pressure flame plasma (APFP) and ES are experimentally investigated for the compressive and stress relaxation properties of GB (40phr) reinforced rubber composites. The optimal content of the ES for composites is 1 phr. There is no big difference for the compressive stress and modulus of composites when the ES exceeds 1 phr. The stress and modulus of the rubber composites are increased with increasing diameter, and the composite with APFP treatment shows the highest increasing rate. The stress and modulus of the composite with the APFP treated GB (700㎛) and ES are increased 3.4 times and 2.7 times, respectively, when compare to the matrix. The stress-relaxation degree of the matrix is 0.58N/s for 3minutes when the load is 400N, and that of the composite is remarkably decreased with increasing diameter. The stress-relaxation degree of the composite with the APFP treated GB (700㎛) and ES is decreased 70% level of the matrix. It is found that the ES content, GB diameter, and surface treatments have an important effect on compressive and stress relaxation properties of rubber composites.
다양한 종류의 상압 플라즈마 처리에 의한 알루미늄과 고무의 접착특성 연구

To increase the adhesive properties of the acrylonitrile butadiene rubber and aluminum plate, various atmospheric pressure plasma(APP) treatments are applied. For the case of atmospheric pressure flame plasma(APFP) treatment, the optimum distance between burner port and aluminum plate is 40 ㎜ and the optimum processing velocity of the burner port is 50m/min. among three different conditions. When the surface is coated twice with the bonding agent, the adhesion strength of APFP treated aluminum plate is increased to about 29.3%. It was found that the surface modification of aluminum by flame plasma treatment is a fast, economic and applicable method to improve the adhesion strength between rubber and aluminum when compared to other plasma treatments.
