A Theoretical Framework on Logistics Outsourcing Performance Appraisal
Haibo Yuan,Hui Chen 인하대학교 정석물류통상연구원 2009 인하대학교 정석물류통상연구원 학술대회 Vol.2009 No.10
The wroldwide usage and importance of logistics outsourcing has grown dramatically over the last decades and will continue to do so, so clearly understanding the drivers of logistics outsourcing performance is critical knowledge for managers to have in today"s competitive business environment. In earlier time, firms aiming purely at cost reductions in the logistics outsourcing arrangement but now they emphasize other aspects. In this paper, by analyzing the benefits and risks of logistics outsourcing, we propose a method of how to make the decison of finding the optimal outsourcing scopes with respective firm. Based on the discussion of KSF and KPI of logistics outsourcing, we develop a logistics outsourcing performance appraisal system from the perspective of balance scorecard. We also address the challenges, future trends and some additional research needs in this area.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) has a high morbidity and mortality worldwide. 20 (S)-ginsenosideRh2 (G-Rh2) is a natural compound extracted from ginseng, which exhibits anticancer effects in manycancer types. In this study, we demonstrated the effect and underlying molecular mechanism of G-Rh2 inCRC cells in vitro and in vivo. Methods: Cell proliferation, migration, invasion, apoptosis, cell cycle, and western blot assays wereperformed to evaluate the effect of G-Rh2 on CRC cells. In vitro pull-down assay was used to verify theinteraction between G-Rh2 and Axl. Transfection and infection experiments were used to explore thefunction of Axl in CRC cells. CRC xenograft models were used to further investigate the effect of Axlknockdown and G-Rh2 on tumor growth in vivo. Results: G-Rh2 significantly inhibited proliferation, migration, and invasion, and induced apoptosis andG0/G1 phase cell cycle arrest in CRC cell lines. G-Rh2 directly binds to Axl and inhibits the Axl signalingpathway in CRC cells. Knockdown of Axl suppressed the growth, migration and invasion ability of CRCcells in vitro and xenograft tumor growth in vivo, whereas overexpression of Axl promoted the growth, migration, and invasion ability of CRC cells. Moreover, G-Rh2 significantly suppressed CRC xenografttumor growth by inhibiting Axl signaling with no obvious toxicity to nude mice. Conclusion: Our results indicate that G-Rh2 exerts anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo by suppressingthe Axl signaling pathway. G-Rh2 is a promising candidate for CRC prevention and treatment.
Robust Consensus for Networked Mechanical Systems with Coupling Time Delay
Haibo Min,Shicheng Wang,Fuchun Sun,Jinsheng Zhang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2012 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.10 No.2
This paper studies the state consensus for a class of networked nonlinear mechanical systems with coupling time delay. In particular, robust consensus protocols for both deterministic and uncertain systems with time delay are investigated. For deterministic systems, we develop a P-like protocol which allows for variable coupling time delay. We show that it is sufficient to have only the relative position information together with a damping control term, whereas the relative velocity information is not needed for state consensus. Then, an adaptive robust control protocol is proposed for uncertain sys-tems with unknown parameters in the system dynamics and arbitrary constant coupling time delays. By introducing the passivity-based framework, we demonstrate that state consensus is still reachable in this case. Finally, a numerical example is included to illustrate the obtained results.

Dense Ni0.37Cu0.20Zn0.43Fe1.92O3.88/(Ba0.6Sr0.4)TiO3 composite thick films were prepared through screen printing method and sintered at 880 ℃. The powder XRD patterns confirm the coexistence of the two phases. The dielectric and magnetic properties are also reported. The results show that this kind of magnetic–dielectric composite thick films, possessing high permittivity and saturation magnetization, moderate dielectric tunability, and very low dielectric loss and coercivity, could be used in high-frequency communications for the capacitor–inductor integrating devices such as electromagnetic interference filters and antennas.
Experimental Study on Dynamic Interaction between Large U-Shape Aqueduct and Water
Haibo Wang,Chunlei Li,Lijun Zhao 대한토목학회 2022 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.26 No.3
Hydrodynamic interaction between water and structure plays an important role in the evaluation of seismic response of aqueducts in area of high seismicity. This interaction differs in axial, lateral and vertical direction of aqueduct. Both impulsive and convective effects of water exist in lateral direction. In presented study, shaking table tests were conducted with a1/10 model of U-shape aqueduct, of 30 m long, to study the hydrodynamic interaction. With the analyses of aqueduct and water responses to stationary White Noise excitations as well as non-stationary excitations, impulsive and convective effects of water were deduced quantitatively. Characteristic frequencies and corresponding modes of aqueduct were identified with the transfer functions of acceleration, sloshing frequencies in lateral direction were recognized with the transfer functions of seat force. Impulsive mass was deduced from the alteration in fundamental frequency and the corresponding modal seat forces of the aqueduct with and without water. Convective mass was obtained from the wave height of sloshing and lateral seat forces recorded, or the lateral modal seat force and damping ratio. Comparison was made with those given in simplified methods for rigid structure. Observed hydrodynamic pressure on the structure in the test was smaller than that based on the rigid assumption.
Earth Pressure and Internal Forces of Tunnel Lining in Jet Grouting Reinforced Mud Stratum
Haibo Jiang,Shunhua Zhou,Honggui Di,Weitao Ye,Zhi Liu,Yu Zhao 대한토목학회 2021 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.25 No.10
In this study, field measurements of the earth pressures and the main reinforcement strains were carried out at three shield tunnel linings in mud stratum reinforced by vertical jet-grouted piles during tunnel construction and post-construction. The measured strains were used to back-calculate the linings' internal forces. The measured earth pressures and the back-calculated internal forces were compared to corresponding design values. The results indicate that the earth pressure and the internal forces increased rapidly, before exhibiting a fluctuating decrease and finally a long-term slow change, after lining assembly. The vertical jet-grouted piles were beneficial to mobilise the soil arching effect and led to the real earth pressure on the lining significantly smaller than the full overburden pressure, even with a relatively shallow buried depth. The vertical jet-grouted piles intensified the influence of backfill grouting on the earth pressure and caused the lining segments near the backfill grouting holes to continuously bear more radial pressure in the long-term. The resultant internal forces during lining assembly were large, and the Conventional Model failed to consider this element of the internal forces. The findings can provide a reference for the design and the construction of similar projects.

Maximum likelihood methods have wide applications in system modeling and parameter estimation. For the purpose of improving the precision of parameter estimation, this paper presents a maximum likelihood recursive generalized extended least squares (ML-RLS) algorithm for a bilinear-parameter system with autoregressive moving average noise based on the over-parameterization identification model. An over-parameterization-based recursive generalized extended least squares algorithm is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed ML-RLS algorithm for comparison. The simulation test shows that the proposed algorithm has a higher estimation accuracy than the recursive least squares algorithm.
