        HTGR PROJECTS IN CHINA

        The High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor (HTGR) possesses inherent safety features and is recognized as a representative advanced nuclear system for the future. Based on the success of the HTR-10, the long-time operation test and safety demonstration tests were carried out. The long-time operation test verifies that the operation procedure and control method are appropriate for the HTR-10 and the safety demonstration test shows that the HTR-10 possesses inherent safety features with a great margin. Meanwhile, two new projects have been recently launched to further develop HTGR technology. One is a prototype modular plant, denoted as HTR-PM, to demonstrate the commercial capability of the HTGR power plant. The HTR-PM is designed as 2X250 MWt, pebble bed core with a steam turbine generator that serves as an energy conversion system. The other is a gas turbine generator system coupled with the HTR-10, denoted as HTR-10GT, built to demonstrate the feasibility of the HTGR gas turbine technology. The gas turbine generator system is designed in a single shaft configuration supported by active magnetic bearings (AMB). The HTR-10GT project is now in the stage of engineering design and component fabrication. R&D on the helium turbocompressor, a key component, and the key technology of AMB are in progress.

      • Performance Prediction Model of University Students Based on the Grey BP Neural Network

        This article counted the best performance of students entrepreneurship courses from 2005 to 2014, and took the best performance prediction of 2014 entrepreneurship course as the research object. According to the best annual performance of entrepreneurship courses from 2005 to 2014, this article established the grade prediction model of series combination of GM (1, 1) grey prediction model and BP neural network prediction model, and the established model was used to predict the best annual performance of students entrepreneurship course. Through comparing the actual value of the best annual performance of 2014 entrepreneurship course and the predicted value c by the model, this article analyzed the application of grey BP neural network prediction model in the students entrepreneurship performance prediction. The research results showed that for entrepreneurship performance prediction problem, the grey BP neural network prediction model had high prediction precision , simple application, and it can be widely used, and had more advantages than single GM (1, 1) grey prediction model and BP neural network model.

        Research on Fourth Harmonic Mixer at W Band in the Imaging System

        This paper presents a novel fourth harmonic mixer with new structure. The traditional 3-ports fourth harmonic mixer and the novel fourth harmonic mixer are designed by ADS, HFSS and CST simulator. The mixers have been fabricated and tested. The size of the traditional 3-ports fourth harmonic mixer is 12×15 ㎜, and the best conversion loss is 18.7 ㏈ according to the measurement. Since the traditional 3-port mixer size is too large to be ranked, we design a novel fourth harmonic mixer for imaging system. The width of the mixing module in the novel fourth harmonic mixer is only 3.65 ㎜, and this size is fully capable to meet the mixer unit space which is not greater than 5 ㎜. The simulation result shows that the mixer has good performance, and the experiment result shows that the best conversion loss of the novel fourth harmonic mixer is 16.3 ㏈ at RF signal of 91.3 ㎓.
