<P>A highly efficient method for the one-pot synthesis of stereo-controlled (Z)-3-methyleneisoindolin-1-ones was developed starting from 2-bro-moarylnitriles via tandem sequential reaction with a Reformatsky reagent (Blaise reaction), followed by Pd-catalyzed intramolecular aminocarbonylation with carbon monoxide at 1 atm pressure. It has been found that the conformational flexibility of the bisphophine ligand is of great importance to the success of this tandem aminocarbonylation reaction.</P>

<P>A novel Pd-catalyzed Ullmann-type homocoupling reaction of the Blaise reaction intermediate generated by the reaction of 2-bromo arylnitriles and a Reformatsky reagent has been developed for one-pot synthesis of enamino ester-functionalized biaryls <B>2</B> in good yields. 일상생활에 있어서 인간의 감정을 자극하는 색채는 애니메이션제작에 있어서 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 색채 연구는 주로 애니메이션 제작에 있어서의 중요성 및 속성에 관련하여 활발하게 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 민족적 특성에 따른 색채에 대한 선호도 연구는 매우 드물다. 본 연구에서는 한국과 중국인의 전통색채에 대한 선호도 차이를 확인하고자 설문조사를 통해 SPSS 통계 패키지를 이용하여 실증적 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 한국과 중국 두 집단 모두에서 전통색채인 오색 중 빨강색이 다른 색보다 선호도가 높았으나, 한국과 중국인들이 빨강색을 선호하더라고 빨강색에 대한 선호도의 정도가 다름을 보였다. 또한 10가지 빨강색 중에서 한국인과 중국인의 선호하는 빨강색이 다르게 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 따라 중국 애니메이션 제작에 참여하고자하는 한국과 중국의 애니메이션 제작자는 애니메이션 시장과 관객의 특성을 고려하여 색채를 선택하여야 함을 시사한다. Colors that stimulate human emotions in everyday life are one of the important factors in animation production. The research on color has been actively carried out in relation to the importance and nature mainly for animation production. However, researches that investigated different views for specific color by geographic characteristics are rare. Therefore, information was collected through questionnaire survey and empirical analysis was conducted using SPSS statistical package to analyze preference of Korean and Chinese people for the Chinese traditional colors. The analysis results showed that both Korean and Chinese groups preferred red color among Chinese traditional colors. This preference for red was statistically significant in both groups, indicating that the intensity of preference for red was different even though Korean and Chinese equally preferred red. Furthermore, among 10 red colors, the preferred red was different between Chinese and Korean. Based on these results, it is suggested that the color should be selected considering the characteristics of the intended market for Chinese animation production and the personality of the viewers who watch the animation products.

Objective: To investigate the psychological characteristics of hepatic malignancy patients before interventional procedures and assess associations with related factors. Methods: Two hundred and thirteen patients requiring interventional procedure for hepatic malignancy were asked to complete a survey of health knowledge and psychological symptom on health knowledge questionnaire and SCL-90 before interventional procedure. Logistic regression analysis was employed to determine the association of various demographic, clinical and health knowledge factors with the presence of psychological symptoms in patients. Results: Eight psychological symptom scores, i.e. somatization, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, depression, anxiety, hostility, phobia, paranoid ideations and psychotic states, were significantly higher than the normal range (P< 0.001). Of 213 cases in the study, 49 families (23.00%) concealed the diagnoses of hepatic carcinoma from patients; 135 patients (63.38%) described the prognosis of the disease correctly. It was demonstrated that the correlations between psychological symptoms and related factors, i.e. age, gender, education, interventional procedure times and health knowledge, were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Psychological distress is severe in hepatic malignancy patients before interventional procedures. Age, gender, education, interventional procedure times and health knowledge are associated with psychological symptoms which are significant different from the normal range in Chinese.

Owing to advancements in intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and artificial-intelligence technologies, various machinelearningmodels can be employed to simulate and predict the number of traffic accidents under different weather conditions.Furthermore, we can analyze the relationship between weather and traffic accidents, allowing us to assess whether the currentweather conditions are suitable for travel, which can significantly reduce the risk of traffic accidents. In this study, we analyzed30000 traffic flow data points collected by traffic cameras at nearby intersections in Washington, D.C., USA from October 2012to May 2017, using Pearson’s heat map. We then predicted, analyzed, and compared the performance of the correlation betweencontinuous features by applying several machine-learning algorithms commonly used in ITS, including random forest, decisiontree, gradient-boosting regression, and support vector regression. The experimental results indicated that the gradient-boostingregression machine-learning model had the best performance.
