        In typical methods for accessing Internet or intranet in mobile wireless environment, users can access to fixed networks without multi-relay based on Broad Band access networks. Especially in some special applications, messages from source users can only arrive at destination terminals by multi-relay among several mobile users because wireless network is infrastructural, which is so called Ad hoc networks. There are many up-to-date research results in table driven routing and on-demand routing for ad hoc mobile networks are proposed in this paper. In the mentioned two kinds of routing protocols, DSR and DSDV, this paper not only introduces the contents of the routing protocol, but also points out their advantages and drawbacks, and evaluates these protocols based on a given set of parameters such as deliverance, end-to-end-delay, meanhop and load. This paper also evaluates some drawbacks of above routing protocols. Finally, the authors suggest the research direction in routing for ad hoc mobile wireless networks in the future

        Estimation of Genetic and Phenotypic Covariance Functions for Body Weight as Longitudinal Data of SD-II Swine Line

        Growth records over six generations of 686 pigs in SD-II Swine Line were used to estimate the genetic and phenotypic covariance functions for body weight as longitudinal data. A random regression model with Legendre polynomials of age as independent variables was used to estimate the (co)variances among the regression coefficients, thus the coefficients of genetic and permanent environmental covariance functions by restricted maximum likelihood employing the average information algorithm. The results showed that, using litter effect as additional random effect, a reduced order of fit did not describe the data adequately. For all five orders of fit, however, the change trends of genetic and phenotypic (co)variances were very similar from ${\kappa}$=3 onwards.

        Estimation of Covariance Functions for Growth of Angora Goats

        Body weights of 862 Angora goats between birth and 36 months of age, recorded on a semiyearly basis from 1988 to 2000, were used to estimate genetic, permanent environmental and phenotypic covariance functions. These functions were estimated by fitting a random regression model with 6th order polynomial for direct additive genetic and animal permanent environmental effects and 4th and 5th order polynomial for maternal genetic and permanent environmental effects, respectively. A phenotypic covariance function was estimated by modelling overall animal and maternal effects. The results showed that the most variable coefficient was the intercept for both direct and maternal additive genetic effects. The direct additive genetic (co)variances increased with age and reached a maximum at about 30 months, whereas the maternal additive genetic (co)variances increased rapidly from birth and reached a maximum at weaning, and then decreased with age. Animal permanent environmental (co)variances increased with age from birth to 30 months with lower rate before 12 months and higher rate between 12 and 30 months. Maternal permanent environmental (co)variances changed little before 6 months but then increased slowly and reached a maximum at about 30 months. These results suggested that the contribution of maternal additive genetic and permanent environmental effects to growth variation differed from those of direct additive genetic and animal permanent environmental effects not only in expression time, but also in action magnitude. The phenotypic (co)variance estimates increased with age from birth to 36 months of age.

        Chia Seed Supplementation Reduces Senescence Markers in Epididymal Adipose Tissue of High-Fat Diet-Fed SAMP8 Mice

        Adipose tissue is a key organ with substantial senescent cell accumulation under both obesity and aging conditions. Chia seed is an ancient seed and is the richest plant source of α-linolenic acid. We aimed to determine how cellular senescence markers will be altered in adipose tissue of senescence-accelerated mouse-prone 8 (SAMP8) mice fed with high-fat diets (HFDs); and how chia seed can affect the above markers. SAMP8 mice and their control senescence-accelerated mouse-resistant 1 (SAMR1) were divided into four groups, that is, SAMR1 low-fat diet group (R1LF), SAMP8LF group (P8LF), SAMP8 high-fat group (P8HF), and SAMP8HF group supplemented with 10% chia seed (P8HC). At the end of the intervention, body composition was measured through T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging, and epididymal (EPI) and subcutaneous (SC) adipose tissues were dissected for further analysis. Compared with the R1LF group, the P8HF and P8HC groups had significantly increased body fat mass. In EPI fat, p16, CD68 and PAI-1 mRNA expression from P8HF group were significantly increased; chia seed partially reduced p16 and CD68 mRNA expression. The P8LF group has increased p16 and CD68, and the P8HF group has increased p16, p21, and CD68; and P8HC group has increased p16 mRNA expression. The protein expression of p-AMPK in EPI and SC fat from the P8HF group was reduced. In conclusion, reductions in AMPK activity might be partially responsible for elevation in HFD-induced senescence markers in both EPI and SC fat, and chia seed supplementation is able to reduce senescence-associated markers at least in EPI adipose tissue.
