        COMPARATIVE STUDY OF FIBER CHARACTERISTICS OF RICE AND WHEAT STRAWS

        In this Experiment three wether male Matou goats (♂), all fitted with permanent rumen fistulae, were used to study the rumen degradabilities (incubation time 48h) of dry matter (DM), neutral detergent fibre (NDF), acid detergent fibre (ADF), acid detergent ligin (ADL), cellulose (CEL) and hemicellulose (HC) and their contents of wheat and rice straws were determined for the different morphological fractions and segments. The results showed that the variation of different fractions for wheat and rice straw is the true resources of their nutritive value variation and the cell wall contents of wheat and rice straw are also obviously different. The rumen degradabilities of different straw fibre are significantly different (p<0.01), mean while the effect of straw variety is also significant (p<0.05). The aim was to set up a foundation for studying the rumen degradation of the roughage resources.

        Formulating the Application Functional Requirements of a BIM-based Collaboration Platform to Support IPD Projects

        Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a new project delivery mode that is primarily characterized by all its participants, such as the owner, designer, and contractor, and specialties, such as architectural, structural, and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), being involved earlier in a construction project and working collaboratively using Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology to enhance the overall merit of the project. Thus, collaboration among participants and specialties is critical in IPD projects. The challenge is that existing collaboration platforms may be unable to support the collaboration among multiple participants and specialties efficiently due to this characteristic. This paper formulates the application functional requirements for such a BIM-based collaboration platform by analysing case studies of IPD projects appearing in the literature and in industry documentations after formulating a 5-step method to justify whether a dedicated BIM-based collaboration platform needs to be developed for IPD projects and to facilitate its development if it is needed. First, the collaborative tasks among participants and specialties in IPD projects are identified with a DSM (Dependency Structure Matrix) method and verified by conducting a questionnaire with experts. Then, the application functional requirements are designed based on these collaborative tasks. Finally, 11 commercial collaboration platforms are examined to determine whether they can meet all the identified requirements and the requirements, which they cannot meet, are verified by conducting another questionnaire with experts. It is concluded that a dedicated BIM-based collaboration platform is necessary, and the formulated application functional requirements can be used in the development of such a platform or for customizing an existing commercial collaboration platform to better support IPD projects.

        Identification of Primary Failure Modes of Tunnel System and Influence of Supporting Structures on Tunnel System Reliability using Multiple Response Surfaces

        A method of calculating the failure probability of the tunnel system combining finite element numerical simulation with multiple response surface method (MRSM) and Monte-Carlo simulation (MCS) is presented. The applicability of the proposed methodology is verified through a subway interval soft rock tunnel in Qingdao, China. The sensitivity of Monte-Carlo sampling number and coefficients of variation for rock masses on the failure probability of tunnel system is conducted. The primary failure modes in tunnel system are identified by reanalyzing the failure samples. The simulation results demonstrate that the failure probability of a tunnel system within soft upper and hard lower surrounding rock mass is mainly attributed to the soft upper part of the surrounding rock. The coefficients of variation of the elastic modulus E1 and the internal friction angle ϕ1 of the pebble layer (soft upper part) have significant effect on the failure probability. The failure probability of tunnel system increases as the coefficients of variation of E1 and ϕ1 increase. Two primary failure modes are found to contribute to the tunnel system reliability. The effect of rock bolt length L and pipe-roof thickness H on tunnel system reliability and two primary failure modes as well are investigated. The simulation results indicate that both the enhancements in L and H tend to be more effective than the enhancement in either L or H if a small target failure probability of tunnel system is expected. The supporting structures design can be performed based on the potential sets of (L, H) satisfying target failure probability.

        Study on Tensile strength and Damage Evolution Law of Sandy Mudstones with Different Sedimentary Ages in Dongsheng Coalfield in China

        Sandy mudstones of various sedimentary ages are deposited in the Dongsheng Coalfield in China. Studying the tensile mechanical properties of these sandy mudstones would provide a reference for underground construction in this area. Four sets of sandy mudstones with different sedimentary ages from Dongsheng Coalfield in China were selected as the research objects. First, the mineral composition and microstructure of the 4 sets of Brazilian disc specimens were obtained by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope. With the increase of sedimentary age, the microstructure of sandy mudstone becomes denser. Then the deformation and acoustic emission (AE) characteristics of the specimens during the Brazilian tests were observed. The indirect tensile strength, peak strain, total strain and pre-peak energy accumulation of sandy mudstones showed an approximate increasing trend with sedimentary age increasing. AE hit rate of the specimens with longer sedimentary age was higher, and the AE signals of these specimens with longer sedimentary age were released more severely after the peak tensile strength. The influence of sedimentary age on the properties of sandy mudstones was discussed from three aspects: the main mineral components, the geostress environment of sandy mudstone, microscopic morphology and granular structure.

      • Research of Face Recognition System Based on Visual Intelligent Monitoring

        The key technology of intelligent face recognition based on the visual monitoring was researched. Firstly, obtained the real-time scene by video camera, and the background difference method was used to judge whether there is a character goal in monitoring region, in view of the existing target, the color space of YCgCr and YCgCb were chosen to detect skin color, the geometric constraints that the aspect ratio of facial contour is 0.8 to 1.85 was used to realize the positioning of face region. Then the improved 2DPCA algorithm was used for face recognition, and data matching with the established database of face to determine the validity character identity. Finally the identification results were sent to the mobile terminal through the control system. System test results show that the processing speed of face recognition is 7 s/times, and the accuracy of face recognition results was 85%, which can provide technical support for the identity intelligent recognition of visual monitoring.

        Ultrafine molybdenum oxycarbide nanoparticles embedded in N-doped carbon as a superior anode material for lithium-ion batteries

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A facile and scalable strategy was developed for <I>in situ</I> preparation of ultrafine molybdenum oxycarbide (MoOC) nanoparticles embedded in a porous N-doped carbon matrix by pyrolysis of molybdenum–imidazole frameworks in an argon atmosphere. The composite contains a high content (∼83 wt%) of electrochemical active material MoOC. When evaluated as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries, the as-obtained porous MoOC/N-doped C composite electrode exhibits high reversible lithium specific capacity (1217 mA h g<SUP>−1</SUP> at 50 mA g<SUP>−1</SUP>), excellent rate capability (481 mA h g<SUP>−1</SUP> at 1 A g<SUP>−1</SUP>), and good cycle stability (361 mA h g<SUP>−1</SUP> at 2 A g<SUP>−1</SUP> for 100 cycles). The superior lithium storage capability was ascribed to the unique structure with ultrafine and high-containing MoOC nanocrystals embedded in a porous N-doped carbon matrix. The porous N-doped carbon matrix can largely enhance the electronic conductivity of the composite, remarkably increasing rate capability. Meanwhile, the carbon matrix can effectively accommodate the volume change and reduce the aggregation of the MoOC nanoparticles during charge/discharge process, significantly enhancing cycle stability of the composite electrode.         중국 금화 지역의 일본군 위안소와 조선인 위안부-『김화계림회회칙급명부(金華鷄林會會則及名簿)』 분석-

        현재 중국 절강성 금화시 당안관에 소장된 일본어판 『금화계림회 회칙 및 명부(金華鷄林會會則及名簿)』는 1944년 4월에 작성된 금화 지역 조선인들의 동향회 명부로서, 당시 중국의 정보요원이 획득한 것이다. 여기에 기록된 조선인 200여명의 명단에는 당시 일본침략군이 금화지역에서 위안부 즉 성노예 제도를 건립한 사실들이 포함되어 있다. 문헌연구와 현지조사를 거쳐 이 명부에 11개의 위안소 및 위안소 업주 8명, 관리인원 7명, 위안부 126명의 명단이 기록되었음이 확인된다. 특히 위안부들 중에는 조선인의 60%를 차지하는데, 제일 나이 어린 여성은 겨우 17세밖에 되지 않는다. 위안소에 연관된 인원은 모두 141명으로서, 전체 명단의 약 67.2%를 차지한다. 『금화계림회 회칙 및 명부』는 일본이 침략전쟁 당시 성노예 제도를 실시한 보편성을 반영하는 바, 이는 일본군이 저질렀던 침략통치와 폭행을 적발하는 한 부의 진귀한 역사자료라고 할 수 있다. The Jinhua municipal archives of Zhejiang Province has a Japanese version of the rules and list of Gyerim Organization in Jinhua. This dounment was written by Koreans’ townsmen association in April 1944, Which was discovered by Chinese intelligence personnel. The list of more than 200 persons, which contains information on the establishment of "comfort women"― the sex slavery system, in Jinhua area. Under literature research and investigation confirmed, the number of comfort stations are 11, and the owners of the comfort stations are 8 and the managers of the comfort station are 7 . The "comfort women" were 126. It accounts for 60% of the total number of koreans in Jinhua, and the youngest is only 17 years old. A total of 141 people were related to the comfort station. It accounting for 67.19% of the Gyerim Organization in Jinhua. The proportion is very impressive. This reflects the universality of the slave system by Japanese military in wartime. Therefore, this list is a valuable historical material reflecting Japanese aggressionandatrocities.
