Objective: To observe efficacy and side effects, as well as the impact on quality of life, of Kanglaite$^{(R)}$ (Coix Seed Oil) injections combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer patients. Method: A consecutive cohort of 60 patients were divided into two groups: the experimental group receiving Kanglaite$^{(R)}$ Injection combined with chemotherapy and the control group with chemotherapy alone. After more than two courses of treatment, efficacy, quality of life and side effects were evaluated. Results: The response rate and KPS score of experimental group were significantly improved as compared with those of the control group (P<0.05). In addition, gastrointestinal reactions and bone marrow suppression were significantly lower than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: Kanglaite$^{(R)}$ Injection enhanced efficacy and reduced the side effects of chemotherapy, improving quality of life of gastric cancer patients; use of Kanglaite$^{(R)}$ injections deserves to be further investigated in randomized control clinical trails.

In this article, we study a reaction-diffusion system with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions, which describing a three-species food chain model. Under some conditions, the predator-prey subsystem ($u_{1}\equiv0 $) has a unique positive solution $\left( \overline{u_{2}},\overline{u_{3}} \right).$ By using the birth rate of the prey $r_{1}$ as a bifurcation parameter, a connected set of positive solutions of our system bifurcating from semi-trivial solution set $\left( r_{1},\left( 0,\overline{ u_{2}},\overline{u_{3}}\right) \right) $ is obtained. Results are obtained by the use of degree theory in cones and sub and super solution techniques.

Method: A consecutive cohort of 70 patients were divided into two groups: experimental group with cantharidin sodium injection combined with chemotherapy, while the control group received chemotherapy alone. After more than two courses of treatment, efficacy, quality of life and side effects were evaluated. Results: The response rate of experimental group was not significantly different from that of the control group (P>0.05), but differences were significant in clinical benefit response and KPS score. In addition, gastrointestinal reactions and the incidence of leukopenia were lower than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: $Qinin^{(R)}$ (Cantharidin sodium) injection combined with chemotherapy enhances clinical benefit response, improving quality of life of gastric cancer patients and reducing side effects of chemotherapy. Thus $Qinin^{(R)}$ (Cantharidin sodium) injection deserves to be further investigated in randomized control clinical trails.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The temperature for phase transformation of ε → τ in Mn<SUB>54</SUB>Al<SUB>46</SUB>C<I> <SUB>x</SUB> </I> (hereafter denoted by MnAlC<I> <SUB>x</SUB> </I>, <I>x</I> = 0–5) alloys was systematically studied by using the traditional thermal analysis method and a more precise magnetic measurement method developed in this work. The effect of carbon content and cold-rolling on the magnetic properties of the MnAlC<I> <SUB>x</SUB> </I> alloys was studied. The onset temperature of massive growth of τ- from ε-phase increases with increasing carbon content in MnAlC<I> <SUB>x</SUB> </I>. The carbon content has little effect on the onset temperature of displacive growth of ε → τ but has substantial effect on the displacive growth rate at certain temperature. Pure τ-MnAlC<SUB> <I>x</I> </SUB> with varied <I>x</I> was obtained by annealing the ε-phase at optimum temperatures determined by our method. The Curie temperature of the MnAlC<SUB> <I>x</I> </SUB> decreases significantly first and then increases slightly with increasing carbon content. The coercivity and the remanent magnetization of the as-prepared τ-MnAlC<SUB> <I>x</I> </SUB> increase with increasing <I>x</I> first and become stable at <I>x </I>> 3 and <I>x</I> > 4, respectively. A cold-rolling method was introduced in this work to enhance the magnetic properties of τ-MnAlC<SUB> <I>x</I> </SUB>. The coercivity and remanent magnetization of the τ-MnAl after cold-rolling were enhanced up to 4.3 times and 3.3 times, respectively. The coercivity of the cold-rolled τ-MnAlC<SUB> <I>x</I> </SUB> decreases with increasing <I>x</I> and becomes stable when <I>x</I> > 2. The remanent magnetization and saturation magnetization of the cold-rolled τ-MnAlC<SUB> <I>x</I> </SUB> vary little with <I>x</I>.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> A method to measure the phase transformation temperature of MnAl-C is reported. </LI> <LI> A cold-rolling method is employed to enhance the magnetic properties of MnAl-C. </LI> <LI> The phase transformation temperature increases with increasing carbon content. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

This study started from a critical perspective that if not most or all, many current methods of teaching ‘uy’ are not systematic and efficient since many Chinese students learning Korean as a foreign language (KFL) have difficulty using ‘uy’ appropriately. Therefore, this study was intended to find out efficient methods of teaching ‘uy’ to Chinese KFL students by comparing ‘uy’ with Chinese ‘de.’ The Korean adnominal marker ‘uy’ as the Chinese postposition ‘de’ has been studied in respect to their morphologic and semantic points of view. It is generally true that there have been many studies on the meaning of those postpositions in the context and that many discussions of ‘de’ have been focussed on its function. By analysing errors identified in Chinese KFL students’ Korean composition materials, this study examined aspects of their using ‘uy’ for the ultimate goal of this study. Unfortunately, there were difficulties in setting objective standards to analyse Chinese students’ composition materials. This study conclude with the implication for the decision of when ‘uy’ should be realized or omitted because of its specific feature.
Determination of equivalent blasting load considering millisecond delay effect

In the analysis of the effects of rock tunnel blasting vibration on adjacent existing buildings, the model of simplified equivalent load produces higher calculation result of vibration, due to the lack of consideration of the millisecond delay effect. This paper, based on the static force equivalence principle of blasting load, proposes a new determination method of equivalent load of blasting vibration. The proposed method, based on the elastic-static force equivalence principle of stress wave, equals the blasting loads of several single blastholes in the same section of millisecond blasting to the triangle blasting load curve of the exploded equivalent elastic boundary surface. According to the attenuation law of stress wave, the attenuated equivalent triangle blasting load curve of the equivalent elastic boundary is applied on the tunnel excavation contour surface, obtaining the final applied equivalent load. Taking the millisecond delay time of different sections into account, the time-history curve of equivalent load of the whole section applied on the tunnel excavation contour surface can be obtained. Based on Sailing Tunnel with small spacing on Sanmenxia-Xichuan Expressway, an analysis on the blasting vibration response of the later and early stages of the tunnel construction is carried out through numerical simulation using the proposed equivalent load model considering millisecond delay effect and the simplified equivalent triangle load curve model respectively. The analysis of the numerical results comparing with the field monitoring ones shows that the calculation results obtained from the proposed equivalent load model are closer to the measured ones and more feasible.
