Comparative Interactivity Analysis in Multiview Video Coding Schemes
You Yang,Gangyi Jiang,Qionghai Dai,호요성 한국전자통신연구원 2010 ETRI Journal Vol.32 No.4
In a multiview video system, interactivity is important for users and should be considered in the design of multiview video coding (MVC). In this paper, we present an interactivity evaluation model for MVC schemes by using both weighted random graph and Markov approaches. The main factors that affect both the interactivity and rate-distortion (RD) performances of MVC schemes are analyzed and discussed in detail. By taking these factors into consideration, a new MVC scheme is proposed for high interactivity and RD gains. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme has a significant interactivity gain with little coding loss, compared to the state-of-the-art benchmark. As an extension to RD performance analysis, the interactivity evaluation model can be used as a design tool of alternative schemes for a future interactive multiview video system.
Face inpainting via Learnable Structure Knowledge of Fusion Network
You Yang,Sixun Liu,Bin Xing,Kesen Li 한국인터넷정보학회 2022 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.16 No.3
With the development of deep learning, face inpainting has been significantly enhanced in the past few years. Although image inpainting framework integrated with generative adversarial network or attention mechanism enhanced the semantic understanding among facial components, the issues of reconstruction on corrupted regions are still worthy to explore, such as blurred edge structure, excessive smoothness, unreasonable semantic understanding and visual artifacts, etc. To address these issues, we propose a Learnable Structure Knowledge of Fusion Network (LSK-FNet), which learns a prior knowledge by edge generation network for image inpainting. The architecture involves two steps: Firstly, structure information obtained by edge generation network is used as the prior knowledge for face inpainting network. Secondly, both the generated prior knowledge and the incomplete image are fed into the face inpainting network together to get the fusion information. To improve the accuracy of inpainting, both of gated convolution and region normalization are applied in our proposed model. We evaluate our LSK-FNet qualitatively and quantitatively on the CelebA-HQ dataset. The experimental results demonstrate that the edge structure and details of facial images can be improved by using LSK-FNet. Our model surpasses the compared models on L1, PSNR and SSIM metrics. When the masked region is less than 20%, L1 loss reduce by more than 4.3%.
Quality Assessment Method For Synthesized Virtual Viewpoint Image
You Yang,Gangyi Jiang,Mei Yu,Yo-Sung Ho 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
Virtual viewpoint image (VVI) synthesis technology plays an important role in interactive threedimensional audio-video (3DAV) system. Quality of VVI directly affects picture quality of service in 3DAV system. A new quality assessment method for VVI is proposed in this paper. The proposed method combines synthesis technology and fuzzy function to evaluate VVIs. Experimental results show the accordance to biocharacteristics of human vision system (HVS) and the quality of VVIs.

As a component of the neurovascular unit, cerebral smooth muscle cells (CSMCs) are an important mediator in the development of cerebral vascular diseases such as stroke. Epoxye-icosatrienoic acids (EETs) are the products of ara-chidonic acid catalyzed by cytochrome P450 epoxygenase. EETs are shown to exert neuroprotective effects. In this article, the role of EET in the growth and apoptosis of CSMCs and the underlying mechanisms under oxygen glucose deprivation (OGD) conditions were addressed. The viability of CMSCs was decreased significantly in the OGD group, while different subtypes of EETs, especially 14,15-EET, could increase the viability of CSMCs under OGD conditions. RAPA (serine/threonine kinase Mammalian Target of Rapamycin), a specific mTOR inhibitor, could elevate the level of oxygen free radicals in CSMCs as well as the anti-apoptotic effects of 14,15-EET under OGD conditions. However, SP600125, a specific JNK (c-Jun N-terminal protein kinase) pathway inhibitor, could attenuate oxygen free radicals levels in CSMCs as well as the anti-apoptotic effects of 14,15-EET under OGD conditions. These results strongly suggest that EETs exert protective functions during the growth and apoptosis of CSMCs, via the JNK/c-Jun and mTOR signaling pathways in vitro. We are the first to disclose the beneficial roles and underlying mechanism of 14,15-EET in CSMC under OGD conditions.

This study explores the correlation between system anomalies and large-scale logs within the Spark cluster environment. While research on anomaly detection using logs is growing, there remains a limitation in adequately leveraging logs from various components of the cluster and considering the relationship between anomalies and the system. Therefore, this paper analyzes the distribution of normal and abnormal logs and explores the potential for anomaly detection based on the occurrence of log templates. By employing Hadoop and Spark, normal and abnormal log data are generated, and through t-SNE and K-means clustering, templates of abnormal logs in anomalous situations are identified to comprehend anomalies. Ultimately, unique log templates occurring only during abnormal situations are identified, thereby presenting the potential for anomaly detection.

The tunable pore‐size distribution and high pore volume of CDC allow for an excellent electrochemical performance of the composites at high current densities. A higher electrolyte molarity is found to enhance the capacity utilization dramatically and reduce S dissolution in S‐CDC composite cathodes during cycling.</P>
