        Pseudoxanthoma elasticum-like papillary dermal elastolysis (PXE-like PDE) is a rare acquired elastolytic disorder that clinically resembles pseudoxanthoma elasticum. The pathogenesis of this disease is uncertain, but it seems to be related to intrinsic aging, abnormal elastogenesis, a genetic predisposition and exposure to ultraviolet radiation. It generally develops on the sides of the neck and supraclavicular regions in elderly persons. Histologically, the characteristic features are the loss of elastic fibers in the papillary dermis and no solar elastosis. We report here on a case of PXE-like PDE in a 26-year-old female whose skin lesion developed 9 years previously. Despite the preferential occurrence at an old age, our patient was young.         유한요소법을 이용한 박막이 있는 물체의 응력파해석

        Generally, as objects impact each other, coating layer is regarded as little affecting transmission and reflection of shock wave. However, we thought that material properties and thickness of coating layer would actually affect objects. So this paper was performed by finite element analysis (FEA) for transmission and reflection of stress wave propagation at two bars having different material properties. Also, as coating layer having different material properties was inserted between bars, we looked into the behavior of stress wave propagation and compared the result of FEA and theoretical result. As using them, FEA for actual piezo electric ceramic was performed. The damaged cause of piezo electric ceramic was confirmed by the effect of reflected wave. To decrease the effect of reflected wave, we analyzed it as changing thickness and material of coating layer and the shape of piezo electric ceramic. Afterwards, we inquired thickness and material of coating layer and the shape of piezo electric ceramic being able to minimize the effect of reflected wave. (Receivad September 30 2004)

        본 논문은 이질적 버스트 트래픽을 갖는 ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) 망에서 실시간 연결 수락 제어를 위한 유체 흐름 모델(fluid flow model)에 기반을 둔 실시간 알고리즘을 제안한다. 셀 손실 확률은 QOS(Quality of Service)의 기준이 되므로 제안된 실시간 알고리즘은 일정한 메모리 크기와 연결 요청의 수락 여부 즉, 연결 수락 여부의 결정을 위한 하나의 영역을 필요로 한다. 이러한 트래픽 소스 각 타입에 대한 셀 손실 확률은 트래픽 소스 타입 전체에 하나만 존재하더라도 요구를 충족 시킬 수 없으므로, 본 논문에서 제안된 실시간 알고리즘에 의해 산출되는 각각의 셀 손실확률에 충분한 상한선을 제공하는 전형적 트래픽 매개변수를 사용하여 성능을 분석한다.

        This research fulfilled the program of aerobic exercise for living during 6 months with seven men and women who are disabled people with visual impairment, The program consists or gym, swimming, aerobic and running, During 6 months, all exercises were executed 1 hours, twice a week for 6 weeks. Each exercise had self-servant and was carried out 60 minutes with teaching method of special directors in every weep Physique by height, weight, condition of exercise ability by the capacity of the lungs of the heart and lung endurance and intake of the maximum oxygen, muscular strength of stomach, grasping power, pliability by forward bending with the upper part of the body, instantaneous force of muscle in a sudden jump, muscular endurance by put-up and sit-up, agility by side-step and response of the whole body, and balance by one leg standing while closing eyes as using Helmas (sewoo systems korea) were measured. The Results, 1.There is a significant difference for both men and women in the capacity of the lungs and the heart and lung endurance, However only women have a significant difference in intake of the maximum oxygen. 2. Both men and women have a significant difference in muscular strength of stomach and grasping power to measure muscular strength. 3. Both men and women have a significant difference in forward bending with the upper part or the body to measure flexibility. 4. Sudden jump to measure instantaneous force of muscle, sit-up, and push-up to measure muscular endurance show that both men and women have a significant difference.(p<.01) 5. Side-step and response of the whole body to measure agility show that both men and women have a significant difference. 6. One leg standing with closing eyes to measure balance show that both men and women have a significant difference.

        슬관절 내측부 인대 손상의 보존적 치료

        Purpose : The medial collateral ligament injury is the most common injury of the knee. Recently Non-operative treatment has been preferred than operative treatment and most of patients have satisfactory clinical results after non-operative treatment. But a few patients have continuous instability after non-operative treatment, so the purpose of this study is to fine out the cause of persistent symptom. Methods and Materlals : We performed a retrospective study of one hundred thirty seven patients with medial collateral ligament injury treated non-operative from January 1990 to December 1997. W divided patients into two groups: isolated medial collateral ligament injury (groupⅠ): medial collateral ligament injury with concomitant anterior cruciate ligament injury (groupⅡ) and we analysed MRI finding, valgus instability, and Lysholm knee score. Result : At the follow up, three of group Ⅰ, five of group Ⅱ had persistent grade Ⅲ valgus instability. In group Ⅰ, we could find two case of rupture of the proper of medial collateral ligament with inward inversion and one case of concomitant posteromedial compartment injury. We could find the proper rupture of medial collateral ligament with inversion inward in two patients, the injury of posteromedial compartment in one patient. Two patients of group Ⅱ with grade Ⅲ valgus instability had anterior instability with laxity of grafted tendon after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Conclusion : Most of isolated injury of the medial collateral ligament heals wthout operative intervention. But in case of rupture of the proper portion of medial collateral ligament with inversion inward or concomitant injury of posteromedial compartment, we should consider the operative treatment of medial collateral ligament. In case of medial collateral ligament injury with anterior cruciate ligament, it would better to consider the delicate reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament.

        중학교 학습부진아의 수학 기피성향 치유방안

        In this paper, we verified the effect and appropriateness of the scheme to cure the math. disliking disposition which is the cause of underachievement in learning. We choose 3 schools as the subject of experiment for this research. Each experiment experiment class consists of 27~30 students(underachievers) whose final test results of 1st school year in the middle school are 30~60 points. In this case, we also select some middle level students whose test results are more than 60 points for the normal experimental condition. For this research, we developed the suitable test materials to cure the mathematics disliking disposition of underachievers. We applied those test materials to the experiment schools during 2.5 months and we analysed the variation of disliking disposition, the variation of math. dislike students' number and the cure rate of the math. disliking disposition. From the results of this experimental study, we find that the factors of teacher and math recognition environment have only the significant difference of math. disliking disposition between experiment class and comparison class under the 5% significance level in one middle school. We understand that this results caused by teachers' careful advice and guidance in that middle school. We also find that the number of student who dislike mathematics decreased in two middle schools. Furthermore 50% of math. disliking dispositions are cured for 9 disliking factors in the lower grade group(the group of underachievers) and as a whole, we can see that 50% of cure rate for the 7 factors of math. disliking in two middle schools. So we can understand that the experiment of our research was performed successfully in two middle schools. In this research, we find out that the scheme to cure the disliking dispositions for the factors of math. disliking depends on the factors of teacher who take charge of cure. So teachers must take interest in and must have careful concem to students and their math. disliking.

        A Real Maximum Power Point Tracking Method for Mismatching Compensation in PV Array Under Partially Shaded Conditions

        <P>Conventional popular maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methods are effective under uniform solar irradiance. However, under solar irradiance mismatching conditions [partially shaded conditions (PSCs)], these MPPTs can fail for real MPPT (RMPPT), because multiple local maxima can be exhibited on the power-voltage characteristic curve. Although some researchers have worked on RMPPT under partial shading conditions, the methods have some drawbacks in terms of complexity and requirements for additional circuits, etc. In this paper, a novel MPPT method capable of RMPPT under PSCs is proposed. The performance of the proposed MPPT method is analyzed according to the RMPP position and is verified by simulation and experimental results.</P>

      • Metabolic Syndrome as a Predictor of Poor Clinical Outcome in the Paitents with STEMI

        Background: The impact of metabolic syndrome (MS) on clinical outcome of acute myocardial infarction has remained unclear relationship. We investigated the impact of MS on the clinical outcomes in the ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non STEMI (NSTEMI). Methods: From Korean acute myocardial infarction registry (KAMIR), we retrospectively reviewed the records of 11,247 patients. They were divided to STEMI and NSTEMI group and each group was divided to two sub-groups by the presence of MS. The primary endpoint was one year major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and the secondary end points were in-hospital death, stent thrombosis and each components of MACE. Results: The MS present groups in both STEMI and NSTEMI group were more likely to be young and male (p<0.001). Clinical outcomes were significantly worse in the MS present group than the MS absent in STEMI group; in-hospital death (4.1% vs. 2.8%, p=0.006), stent thrombosis (2.0% vs. 0.6%, p=0.045), 1 month MACE (7.6% vs. 5.6%, p=0.003), 6 month MACE (14.3% vs. 11.4%, p=0.003). However, MS present in NSTEMI group showed no significant differences of clinical outcomes compared with MS absent group. On multivariate Cox regression analysis, MS present in STEMI group shows higher incidence of one year MACE (HR 1.2, 95% CI 1.010-1.413, p=0.050). Conclusions: Based on KAMIR data, MS is related to MACE and is a predictor of poor clinical outcomes in STEMI. But, MS is not related to poor clinical outcomes in NSTEMI.

      • A New Control Strategy of Active Clamped Flyback Inverter for a Photovoltaic AC Module System

        In this paper, a new control strategy of an active clamped flyback inverter for a photovoltaic AC module system is proposed. In the flyback inverter, a voltage spike across a main switch is generated from a resonance between a leakage inductance and an output capacitance across the main switch. For reducing the voltage spike of the main switch, a snubber circuit is used. In case of the active clamp technique, the circuit has a conduction loss, switching loss and gate drive loss because the switch is turned on and off with a hard switching. Therefore, a consideration reducing the losses of the active clamp circuit is required. If the new control strategy is used, the active clamp switch is not operated during a low voltage in an utility line period. Therefore, the losses of the active clamp circuit can be reduced. In order to verify these, theoretical analysis and simulations are performed.
