Development of Simulator for DFIG-based Wind Turbine

The main goal of this paper is to simulate a Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG), which is similar to a real system. Wind velocity data is applied to a 2D Lookup table as a speed reference for an induction motor instead of the turbine. A real electric machine’s parameters are put in the simulator to get some results of the real system. The Matlab have been generally used to simulate DFIG, but it has some differences from the real system and is difficult to implement. A Simplorer simulator, however, simplifies DFIG simulation. A Space Vector Modulation (SVM) is accepted to control a driver of an induction motor, which plays a part of the turbine. It is possible to retrieve important information, like a generated power and wind quality etc., from the simulator without a huge wind turbine.
A Study of the Train Running Simulation for Train Propulsion System Performance Analysis

The aim of the paper is to analysis on train propulsion system and to study for energy saving. For this study, we make the program that simulates actual operation of the train route to get same experiment result. The train running simulation is performed from starting station to 4th station by using the route data of Deajeon city Metro Subway. The study for control method of electrical motor and energy recovery to save energy is selected. The train propulsion system is constituted as a M-G Set, which is realized via Space Vector Modulation(SVM) - Direct Torque Control(DTC), the energy consumption during train operation and energy recovery during breaking is simulated by Simplorer program. From this result, the energy consumption and recovery of train with SVM-DTC is studied.
Development of 20㎾ Energy Storage System for Smart Green Town

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce the development and structure of 20㎾ Energy Storage System (ESS). The basis of the capacity selection of 20㎾ ESS, which will be installed in ‘Se-hwa sanatorium’, is introduced. The Smart Green Town is defined and its structure is also introduced in this paper. The possibility of success with this system will be verified as an ESS through the simulated results of the grid-connected mode and the stand-alone mode.

In connection with the synthesis of the biologically active pimarane diterpenoids, some synthetic routes to the quaternary carbon unit were examined. Especially, Claisen rearrangement of allyl acetates prepared from acetol provided gamma-hydroxy acid containing vinyl substituent as the desired unit.

<P>A highly stereoselective and efficient method for the synthesis of optically active homoallylamines was developed. Key features of the method include (1) the utilization of naphthylethylamine as both an excellent chiral auxiliary and the amine source, (2) the 1,3-chiral induction of the <I>N</I>-acyliminium ion with high stereoselectivity and high yield, and (3) facile auxiliary removal under mild conditions to liberate <I>N</I>-Cbz-protected homoallylamines. The efficient synthetic routes to cis-1-ethenyl-2-hydroxymethyl-cyclohexane, an useful synthetic intermediate, have been described. Access to the cis-disubstituted cyclo hexane is gained through the Clasen rearrangment and selective DHP protection of diol respectively.
