        Failure diagnosis of electro-hydraulic servo valve based on SA-PSO-SVM

        The electro-hydraulic servo valve (EHSV) is a crucial element of the electrohydraulic servo control system connecting electrical and hydraulic parts, and its performance can influence the work efficiency of the entire control system. To identify the types of faults in EHSVs accurately and solve the problems in traditional diagnostic algorithms, a fault diagnostic model using a simulated annealing particle swarm optimized (SA-PSO) support vector machine (SVM) is constructed in the paper. An SA-PSO optimized SVM parametric fault diagnosis model is built, taking static no-load flow, pressure, and internal leakage as the sample input data, and a prescribed label is viewed as the result output. Compared with the models constructed by SVM and PSO-SVM model, the advantages of the model built are proven. Classification accuracy can reach 99.3 %, and high stability can be achieved.

        The structural, electronic, elastic and optical properties of AlCu(Se1−xTex)2 compounds from first-principle calculations

        The structural, electronic structure, elastic and optical properties of the AlCu(Se1-xTex)2 compounds have been investigated by using a first-principles method based on density functional theory. The lattice constants of the quaternary compounds AlCu(Se1-xTex)2 increase with the increasing of Te composition. The calculated lattice constants for the ternary compounds i.e. AlCuSe2 and AlCuTe2 are in good agreement with the experimental data. The band structures show that the compounds have direct band gap and the band gaps are found to vary nonlinearly with composition. The total and part density of states of the quaternary AlCu(Se1-xTex)2 compounds are discussed. The calculated elastic constants indicate that all of the AlCu(Se1-xTex)2 compounds are mechanically stable. The bulk modulus B, shear modulus G,Young’s modulus E and Poisson’s ratio n can be obtained by using the VoigteReusseHill averaging scheme. The B/G ratios of the AlCu(Se1-xTex)2 compounds indicate that AlCu(Se0.8Te0.2)2 is ductile and the others are brittle. The Debye temperature of the AlCu(Se1-xTex)2 compounds decreases a little with increasing Te content except the compound with x¼ 0.4. The dielectric functions, refractive index,extinction coefficient, absorption spectrums and energy-loss function of the AlCuSe2 and AlCuTe2 are also calculated and discussed in this work.         Pharmacokinetics and Biodistribution of Paclitaxel-loaded Pluronic P105 Polymeric Micelles

        A novel polymeric micelle formulation of paclitaxel (PTX) has been prepared with the purpose of improving in vitro release as well as prolonging the blood circulation time of PTX in comparison to a current PTX formulation, Taxol injection. This work was designed to investigate the preparation, in vitro release, in vivo pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution of PTX-loaded Pluronic P105 micellar system. The micelles were prepared by thin-film method using a nonionic surfactant Pluronic P105 and a hydrophobic anticancer drug, PTX. With a dynamic light scattering sizer and a transmission electron microscopy, it was shown that the PTX-loaded micelles had a mean size of approximately 24 nm with narrow size distribution and a spherical shape. The in vitro release profiles indicated that the release of PTX from the micelles exhibited a sustained release behavior. A similar phenomenon was also observed in a pharmacokinetic study in rats, in which t1/2β and AUC of the micelle formulation were 4.9 and 5.3-fold higher than that of Taxol injection. The biodistribution study in mice showed that the PTXloaded micelles not only decreased drug uptake by liver, but also prolonged drug retention in blood and increased distribution of drug in lung, spleen and kidney. These results suggested that the P105 polymeric micelles may efficiently load, protect and retain PTX in both in vitro and in vivo environments, and could be a useful drug carrier for i.v. administration of PTX.

        Fine Mapping of a Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus Epitope Recognized by Serotype-Independent Monoclonal Antibody 4B2

        VP2 is a structural protein of the foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV). In this study, a FMDV serotype-independent monoclonal antibody (MAb), 4B2, was generated. By screening a phage-displayed random 12-peptide library, we found positive phages displaying the consensus motif ETTXLE (X is any amino acid (aa)), which is highly homologous to ^6ETTLLE^11 at the N-terminus of the VP2 protein. Subsequently, a series of GST-fusion proteins expressing a truncated N-terminus of VP2 were examined by western blot analysis using the MAb 4B2. The results indicated that the motif ^6ETTLLE^11 of VP2 may be the minimal requirement of the epitope recognized by 4B2. Moreover, a 12-aa peptide ^2KKTEETTLLEDR^13 was shown to be the minimal unit of the epitope with maximal binding activity to 4B2. Alanine-scanning analysis demonstrated thatThr^7, Thr^8, and Leu^10 are the functional residues of the 4B2 epitope Glu^6 and Leu^9 are required residues, and Glu^11 plays a crucial role in the binding of MAb 4B2. The fine mapping of the epitope indicated that MAb 4B2 has the potential to be used in FMDV diagnosis.

        The Syntactic Status of de and the Internal Structure of de Constructions in Chinese

        This paper addresses some relevant explanations concerning de and de constructions in Chinese. Based on a detailed description of the main fetures of de, a novel analysis of the syntactic status of de and the internal structure of de constructions is proposed. It is argued that de, as a functional category, cannot be separated from the genitive constituent, and hence it cannto function as a head. In effect, the nature of de constructions is determined by the definite article, numerals or quantifiers and has nothing to do with de per se. De is a linking marker, which is used to connect the constituents preceding and following it, including the constituents with features of [+N] and [-V]. De can adjoin to the Spec or complement. As a consequence, in terms of structural segmentation, de should be segmented either with the Spec or with the complement, but it is only a clitic of the Spec or complement. Since de is not the head of de constructions, it cannto prroject as DeP.

        Derivation of Serial Verb Constructions

        Though serial verb constructions have been a hot issue in grammatical research, the problem of the temporal iconicity in serial verb constructions has not been solved, or rather, various types of serial verb constructions have not been accounted for in a unified theoretical framework. Hence this paper attempts to probe into the internal structure of serial verb constructions and its generation in the framework of generative grammar. It is argued that structurally the two basic forms of SVCs are S+V1+O1+V2+O2 and S+O1+V1+O2+V2. VP1 made up of V1O1 governs VP2 made up of V2O2, and VP2 functions as the complement of VP1. Both SVO and SOV serial verb constructions follow the temporal iconicity, which is associated with the asymmetric nature of syntactic structures. V1 or VP1 c-commands V2 or VP2 asymmetrically, which is irrelevant to the types of SVCs and the order of V1 and V2. Based on this argument, an analysis for the derivation of serial verb constructions - Inter-VP Asymmetrical C-command Analysis - is proposed and used to account for the derivation of serial verb constructions in various languages. It is argued that in the serial verb construction there exist a null predicate and a null argument, the occurrence or non-occurrence of which gives rise to different types of serial verb constructions. It is evident that the approach to serial verb constructions can give a unified explanation of SVO and SOV serial verb constructions, including iconicity-predominant serial verb constructions typical of Chinese, abstractness-predominant serial verb constructions typical of the family of Tibeto-Burman languages, object-sharing serial verb constructions and non-object-sharing serial verb constructions as well as SOV serial verb constructions with double objects and solve the problems Baker (1989) and Li (2007) meet with in accounting for these data.

        Modal Particles and Their Projections : A Minimalist Approach

        This paper discusses the syntactic status, distribution and constraints on generation of modal particles in the framework of generative grammar. After a summary of the syntactic properties of modal particles, we argue that modal particles vary from each other in terms of syntactic distribution, but they have similar syntactic functions and base-generated positions. In the syntactic structure, modal particles of the same type occupy the same position, whereas modal particles of different types occupy different positions, which is due to the fact that they occupy different positions in the syntactic hierarchy. It is argued that declarative sentences are the basis on which other types of sentences are generated. As a result, declarative modal particles can co-occur with interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory modal particles. Based on the syntactic hierarchy, the Constraints on Modal Particle Merger/Co-occurrence, the Principle of Locality, the Principle of Prominence, the Hierarchy of Modal Types, the Hierarchy of Abstractness, and the Hierarchy of Subjectivity are proposed to account for the possible cooccurrences of modal particles, tendency to be used as topic and focus markers, linear order of modal particles, and correlation between the hierarchy of modal types, the hierarchy of abstractness, and the hierarchy of subjectivity as well as non-occurrence of interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory modal particles in embedded clauses. It is also argued that there is correlation between the degree of grammaticalization of modal particles and the complexity of sentence structure. The conclusion has been testified cross-linguistically, which is in the spirit of universal grammar.

        Metagenomic analysis suggests unique gut‐microbiota composition and GH family constitution of Macrotermes annandalei

        Energy supply is a major concern of human survival and development, and that concern demands new sources of renewable clean energy. Cellulose, as a renewable energy material is affected by low activity and high cost of cellulose. Studies of cellulose degrading bacterial microbiota in insect intestine have revealed that these potential microbes can be used as a rich resource of cellulose degrading strains. Here, the present study involves metagenomic sequencing of intestinal microbes of Macrotermes annandalei by Illumina PE150 and a total of 401,190 scaftigs were obtained. Open Reading frame (ORF) species annotation showed that the largest proportion of them belong to the phylum of Bacteroides, followed by Protobacteia, Firmicutes and Mucoromycota. Mapping to the CAZy database indicates that 4,539 genes encoding of glycoside hydrolase belongs to 109 distinct CAZy families. The results provide a theoretical basis for exploring new candidate bacteria for efficient cellulose degradation to obtain high cellulose resource yield.
