GENERALIZED CAYLEY GRAPHS OF RECTANGULAR GROUPS
Yongwen Zhu 대한수학회 2015 대한수학회보 Vol.52 No.4
We describe generalized Cayley graphs of rectangular groups, so that we obtain (1) an equivalent condition for two Cayley graphs of a rectangular group to be isomorphic to each other, (2) a necessary and sufficient condition for a generalized Cayley graph of a rectangular group to be (strong) connected, (3) a necessary and sufficient condition for the colour-preserving automorphism group of such a graph to be vertex- transitive, and (4) a sufficient condition for the automorphism group of such a graph to be vertex-transitive.

The concept of Cayley-symmetric semigroups is introduced, and several equivalent conditions of a Cayley-symmetric semigroup are given so that an open problem proposed by Zhu [19] is resolved generally. Furthermore, it is proved that a strong semilattice of self-decomposable semigroups Sα is Cayley-symmetric if and only if each Sα is Cayley- symmetric. This enables us to present more Cayley-symmetric semi- groups, which would be non-regular. This result extends the main re- sult of Wang [14], which stated that a regular semigroup is Cayley- symmetric if and only if it is a Clifford semigroup. In addition, we discuss Cayley-symmetry of Rees matrix semigroups over a semigroup or over a 0-semigroup.

Through a simple room-temperature photoreduction process, this letter conformally replicates 3D submicrometer structures of wing scales from two butterfly species into Ag to generate practical surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates. The Ag replicas of butterfly scales with higher structural periodicity are able to detect rhodamine 6G at a low concentration down to 10(-9) M, which is three orders of magnitude lower than the detectable concentration limit of using quasi-periodic Ag butterfly structures. This result presents a way to select suitable scale morphologies from 174,500 species of Lepidopterans to replicate, as consumable SERS substrates with low cost and high reproducibility.

Rice flag leaf is the main photosynthetic organ and plays a key role in grain yield. In this study, 106 loci associated with flag leaf length and width were identified using association mapping in a rice mini core collection. Analyzing the phenotypic effects of each allele represented 156 positive and 167 negative alleles, with a few alleles showing inconsistent effect in different environments. Among the 106 loci, 69 were environment-specific loci, 16 were environmentally stable and 21 were environmentally sensitive. Fifteen associated markers were shared by two traits and were designated as pleiotropic markers. According to the frequency distribution of alleles in different variety types, 343 alleles were categorized into three types based on geographic source and usage in breeding. Among these, 156 were used alleles, 138 were unused and 49 were foreign alleles. The results further our understanding of the genetic mechanisms of flag leaf length and width.
Airbag Damping of the Hollow Fiber Composite with Different Porosity in the Fiber Wall
Mingjun Li,Guoqun Zhou,Yongwen Xu,Guifang Wang 한국섬유공학회 2019 Fibers and polymers Vol.20 No.2
The inner cavity of the hollow fiber with porosity in its fiber wall constitutes a damping airbag with slow passage of gas. The magnitude of the damping value of the airbag and its damping influencing factors need to be researched, which adds the nonlinear airbag damping to the damping of the raw materials and increases the total damping loss factor of the structure. In this paper, the hollow fiber damping materials with different hollow inside diameters, different fiber wall thicknesses, different wall porosity and different wall pore structure were prepared by adjusting and controlling the technological parameters of the hollow fiber spinning and the formula of spinning casting solution. Meanwhile, we have a comprehensive study on the relationship between the factors and performances. It was found and confirmed that the size of the airbag, the wall pore structure, the wall porosity and the wall thickness of the airbag were the most crucial parameters, which can affect the additional damping of the airbag in the hollow fiber. And the controlling method of the four key parameters was also obtained. Finally, the mechanism and effect of hollow fiber airbag damping was proved.
