This paper is a translation of < Study of the Language Image of Dialects in Movies and TV Series > published in 2021 by Wang Lining and Pan Yingying. Based on linguistic data selected from 400 movies and TV series, this article attempts to examine types, varieties, and time distribution of dialectal movies and TV series over the last decade or so and analyzes the social variables of 620 dialect users in these movies and TV series. The findings reveal that Cantonese, Southwest Mandarin, Zhongyuan Mandarin, and Northeast Mandarin are more frequently used than others in movies and TV series. These dialects have become important language resources being utilized for literary expression of local characteristics. Since 2016, the number of dialectal movies and TV series has increased significantly, and their social images have been improved, and their economic benefits have been attractive; the socio-economic status of dialect users is embodied in social factors such as “middle-aged”, “male”, “manual worker”, “low literacy”, “rural township” and “comedy”; these factors function as contributors in constructing the current language image of dialects in movies and TV series. The article argues that the creation and dissemination of language image must conform with maintaining the major status of the ‘National Commonly Used Language and Characters’; at the same time, from the perspective of protecting and inheriting dialectal cultures, the language image of dialects in movies and TV series should be prevented from being stereotyped.
A Global Optimization Algorithm Based on <tex> $C^{1}$</tex> Piecewise Response Surface Patches
Yingying Yao,Chang Seop Koh,Shiyou Yang,Guangzheng Ni IEEE 2007 IEEE transactions on magnetics Vol.43 No.4
<P>A new surrogate objective function is suggested for the global optimization of electromagnetic devices. The surrogate objective function is constructed using a C1 piecewise response surface incorporated with the design sensitivities computed by using the finite-element method. The sampling data points used for constructing the response surface are adaptively inserted during the optimization process. After the surrogate objective function is constructed, the global optimum point is obtained by using a genetic algorithm. Applications to benchmark problems and the optimum design of a permanent magnet system show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm</P>
Transforming Shanghai into an International Financial Center: Mechanism and Benefits
( Yingying Hu ) 고려대학교 법학연구원 2017 The Asian Business Lawyer Vol.19 No.-
In addition to the Hong Kong international financial center, the establishment of Shanghai as an IFC is viewed as a clear sign of China`s ambition to play a more significant role in the international financial market, help Chinese enterprises raise domestic funds more easily by directing China`s surplus savings to GDP growth, and stimulate Chinese financial institutional reform.1 Whereas the benefits of financial development through the establishment of an IFC are significant, the cost associated with this financial development is also high. Chinese legislators and policy makers need to be aware of potential speculative financial transactions and the risk arising from market manipulation by financial institutions.2 Given the fact that Chinese financial institutions are mostly politically powerless, a government-led IFC project would effectively put external pressure on domestic financial reform. Nevertheless, the enormous benefits obtained from the Shanghai IFC will justify the costs, and driving the government to positively loosen its controls on the financial market. To minimize the potential cost incurred from the financial globalization, the Chinese government should identify essential sectors of the economy that need additional protection through tax, direct subsidy or other means when it seizes direct controls from the financial market.

Fusarium root rot is an increasingly severe problem in soybean cultivation. Although several Fusarium species have been reported to infect soybean roots in Heilongjiang province, their frequency and aggressiveness have not been systematically quantified in the region. This study aimed to investigate the diversity and distribution of Fusarium species that cause soybean root rot in Heilongjiang province over two years. A total of 485 isolates belonging to nine Fusarium species were identified, with F. oxysporum and F. solani being the most prevalent. Pot experiments were conducted to examine the relative aggressiveness of different Fusarium species on soybean roots, revealing that F. oxysporum and F. solani were the most aggressive pathogens, causing the most severe root rot symptoms. The study also assessed the susceptibility of different soybean cultivars to Fusarium root rot caused by F. oxysporum and F. solani. The results indicated that the soybean cultivar DN51 exhibited the most resistance to both pathogens, indicating that it may possess genetic traits that make it less susceptible to Fusarium root rot. These findings provide valuable insights into the diversity and distribution of Fusarium species that cause soybean root rot and could facilitate the development of effective management strategies for this disease.
An Adaptive Watermark Detection Algorithm for Vector Geographic Data
( Yingying Wang ),( Chengsong Yang ),( Na Ren ),( Changqing Zhu ),( Ting Rui ),( And Dong Wang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2020 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.14 No.1
With the rapid development of computer and communication techniques, copyright protection of vector geographic data has attracted considerable research attention because of the high cost of such data. A novel adaptive watermark detection algorithm is proposed for vector geographic data that can be used to qualitatively analyze the robustness of watermarks against data addition attacks. First, a watermark was embedded into the vertex coordinates based on coordinate mapping and quantization. Second, the adaptive watermark detection model, which is capable of calculating the detection threshold, false positive error (FPE) and false negative error (FNE), was established, and the characteristics of the adaptive watermark detection algorithm were analyzed. Finally, experiments were conducted on several real-world vector maps to show the usability and robustness of the proposed algorithm.
Average consensus in networks of agents with neutral dynamics
Yingying Wu,Yuangong Sun 제어로봇시스템학회 2013 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2013 No.10
This paper addresses the average consensus problem of multi-agent systems with neutral dynamics for the first time. By decoupling the neutral multi-agent system in terms of the eigenvalues of the Laplacian matrix, we establish necessary and sufficient conditions for average consensus of neutral multi-agent systems in undirected networks. For the particular case of constant delay, a least upper bound of the allowable time delay for consensus is given.
Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education: A Bibliometrics Analysis
Yingying Pan,Monthusi Magosi,Zhaopu Yan 서울대학교 교육종합연구원 2021 The SNU Journal of Education Research Vol.30 No.2
With the coming of the era of intelligence, the integration and innovation of artificial intelligence and education has become an essential trend for future educational reform. In this paper, a bibliometrics analysis of 288 academic publications between 2000 and 2020 was carried out to provide a systemic and objective overview of research in this field by visualizing collaboration network and performing keyword analysis. The results show that the number of publications in this field has increased rapidly since 2016. The most productive countries are the United States, China and some European countries like England and Spain. However, a complete and close collaboration network of institutions or authors has not yet been formed. Three themes are synthesized by analyzing the related keywords: (1). diverse artificial intelligence technologies; (2). intelligent tutoring system to support student learning; and (3). educational data mining and learning analytics. The findings also show that research on intelligent tutoring systems to support student learning has long been a focus of this field, whereas data science is a relatively new research trend.
Computing turbulent far-wake development behind a wind turbine with and without swirl
Yingying Hu,Siva Parameswaran,Jiannan Tan,Suranga Dharmarathne,Neha Marathe,Zixi Chen,Ronald Grife,Andrew Swift 한국풍공학회 2012 Wind and Structures, An International Journal (WAS Vol.15 No.1
Modeling swirling wakes is of considerable interest to wind farm designers. The present work is an attempt to develop a computational tool to understand free, far-wake development behind a single rotating wind turbine. Besides the standard momentum and continuity equations from the boundary layer theory in two dimensions, an additional equation for the conservation of angular momentum is introduced to study axisymmetric swirl effects on wake growth. Turbulence is simulated with two options: the standard k-ε model and the Reynolds Stress transport model. A finite volume method is used to discretize the governing equations for mean flow and turbulence quantities. A marching algorithm of expanding grids is employed to enclose the growing far-wake and to solve the equations implicitly at every axial step. Axisymmetric far-wakes with/without swirl are studied at different Reynolds numbers and swirl numbers. Wake characteristics such as wake width, half radius, velocity profiles and pressure profiles are computed. Compared with the results obtained under similar flow conditions using the computational software, FLUENT, this far-wake model shows simplicity with acceptable accuracy, covering large wake regions in far-wake study.
