Fourier coefficients of weight 2 modular forms of prime level
Yan-Bin Li 대한수학회 2021 대한수학회보 Vol.58 No.3
We use a kind of modified Hurwitz class numbers to express the number of representing a positive integer by some ternary quadratic forms such as the sum of three squares, and the Fourier coefficients of weight $2$ modular forms of prime level with trivial character.

Background/Aims To determine the value of salivary pepsin in discriminating sub-types of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and GERD-related disorders. Methods Overall, 322 patients with different sub-types of GERD and 45 healthy controls (HC) were studied. All patients took Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease Questionnaire (GerdQ) and underwent endoscopy and 24-hour esophageal pH monitoring and manometry. Salivary pepsin concentration (SPC) was detected by using colloidal gold double-antibody immunological sandwich assay. Oral esomeprazole treatment was administrated in the patients with non-erosive reflux disease (NERD) and extra-esophageal symptoms (EES). Results Compared to HC, patients with erosive esophagitis, NERD, EES, EES plus typical GERD symptoms, or Barrett’s esophagus had a higher prevalence of saliva and SPC (all P < 0.001). There was no significant difference in the positive rate for pepsin in patients with functional heartburn or GERD with anxiety and depression, compared to HC. After esomeprazole treatment, the positive rate and SPC were significantly reduced in NERD (both P < 0.001) and in EES (P = 0.001 and P = 0.002, respectively). Of the 64 NERD patients, 71.9% (n = 46) were positive for salivary pepsin, which was significantly higher than the rate (43.8%, n = 28) of pathological acid reflux as detected by 24-hour esophageal pH monitoring (P = 0.002). Conclusions Salivary pepsin has an important significance for the diagnosis of GERD and GERD-related disorders. Salivary pepsin and 24-hour esophageal pH monitoring may complement with each other to improve the diagnostic efficiency.

Reliability is the key performance indicator for remanufactured machine tools to be approved by customers. Reliability allocation is an important task that needs to be done in the design phase of remanufactured machine tools to ensure that remanufactured products meet the reliability target requirements. A reliability allocation method for remanufactured machine tools is proposed based on fuzzy evaluation importance and failure influence of each component. The importance of each component is evaluated by five indicators such as complexity of structure, maturity of technology, criticality of fault, difficulty of maintenance, and severity of service condition, in which their weights are determined by the method of analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Failure influence is determined by the proportion of downtime caused by each component in total downtime of machine tools. Finally, the proposed method is illustrated in a numerical case study of NC lathe remanufacturing.
Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis of Remanufactured Machine Tools in Service
Yan-bin Du,Lan Liao,Le-su Wang 한국정밀공학회 2017 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.18 No.3
Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) of remanufactured machine tools is one of the key issues for improving their quality and reliability. According to the characteristics of remanufactured machine tools and the basic principle of FMECA, the method of failure mode analysis for remanufactured machine tools in service is proposed, with the FMECA procedure being expounded in detail. In addition, failure criticality of each failure mode for remanufactured machine tools is analyzed by risk priority number (RPN) method. Finally, the method is demonstrated in a case study of remanufactured YX3120 gear hobbing machine. The results from the case study are discussed and conclusions are drawn.

A subset of patients of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) present with mutation of Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD1), and such mutants caused an ALSlike disorder when expressed in rodents. These findings implicated SOD1 in ALS pathogenesis and made the transgenic animals a widely used ALS model. However, previous studies of these animals have focused largely on motor neuron damage. We report herein that the spinal cords of mice expressing a human SOD1 mutant (hSOD1-G93A), besides showing typical destruction of motor neurons and axons, exhibit significant damage in the sensory system, including Wallerian-like degeneration in axons of dorsal root and dorsal funiculus, and mitochondrial damage in dorsal root ganglia neurons. Thus, hSOD1-G93A mutation causes both motor and sensory neuropathies, and as such the disease developed in the transgenic mice very closely resembles human ALS. Root Welding of V-Groove Thick Plate without Backing Plate by MAG-TIG Double-Arc Welding
Yan-Bin Zhou,Disheng Fang,Li-Ming Liu 한국정밀공학회 2017 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.18 No.4
MAG-TIG (metal active gas-Tungsten inert gas) double-arc welding process is applied to make stable back beads in the first layer during one-side multilayer welding without backing plate. To explain the reason why stable back beads can be formed, a comparison was made between single MAG welding and MAG-TIG double-arc welding. Results indicated that during the optimized condition in MAG-TIG double-arc welding, about one-third heat energy of the heat source acts on the root face, and about two-third heat energy acts on the molten pool. The distribution of temperature and surface tension in the molten pool must be more balanced and reasonable, in order to obtain the ideal back weld bead formation. This process is a new welding process giving high quality and efficiency in root welding of thick plate.
