Finite-time Asymmetric Bipartite Consensus for Signed Networks of Dynamic Agents

        Xing Guo,Jinling Liang,Jianquan Lu 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2019 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.17 No.4

This paper addresses the finite-time asymmetric bipartite consensus problem for multi-agent systems(MAS) associated with signed graphs. Different from bipartite consensus in the previous literatures, asymmetricbipartite consensus means that the states of all agents will converge to two values with different signs and modulus. Two distinct nonlinear consensus control protocols are constructed for the considered system to achieve the finitetimeasymmetric bipartite consensus and the fixed-time asymmetric bipartite consensus, respectively. Under thefirst proposed protocol, it is shown that within a finite time, the considered system can realize asymmetric bipartiteconsensus. To strengthen the obtained result, the second protocol is proposed, which guarantees that all agentscould achieve the asymmetric bipartite consensus in fixed time, that is, the finite-time consensus can be reachedbefore a settling time which is irrelevant with the initial states of the agents. Finally, numerical simulations aregiven to verify effectiveness of the proposed consensus control protocols.

Earthquake safety assessment of an arch dam using an anisotropic damage model for mass concrete

Xinhua Xue,Xingguo Yang 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2014 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.13 No.5

The seismic safety of concrete dams is one of the important problems in the engineering due to the vast socio-economic disasters which may be caused by collapse of these infrastructures. The accuracy of the risk evaluation associated with these existing dams as well as the efficient design of future dams is highly dependent on a proper understanding of their behaviour due to earthquakes. This paper develops an anisotropic damage model for arch dam under strong earthquakes. The modified Drucker-Prager criterion is adopted as the failure criteria of the dynamic damage evolution of concrete. Some process fields and other necessary information for the safety evaluation are obtained. The numerical results show that the seismic behaviour of concrete dams can be satisfactorily predicted.

Green algae dominance quickly switches to cyanobacteria dominance after nutrient enrichment in greenhouse with high temperature

        Xiaodong Wang,Xingguo Liu1,Boqiang Qin,Zhaojun Gu,Hao Xu,Hao Zhu,Guofeng Cheng,Huang Liu 한국생태학회 2015 Journal of Ecology and Environment Vol.38 No.3

In order to understand the mechanisms of conversion between different algal dominance, an experiment was performed in a greenhouse from 22 June to 10 July 2011. The experiment included a treatment group subjected to three instances of nutrient enrichment and a control with no nutrient enrichment. The initial water was dominated by Ankistrodesmus of Chlorophyta. The average water temperature at 08:30 h and 14:00 h during the experiment was 31.6°C and 34.6°C, respec¬tively. The results showed that the total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), dissolved total nitrogen (DTN), dissolved total phosphorus (DTP), and soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) concentrations in the treatment were significantly higher than in the control (P < 0.05). However, the TN/TP and DTN/DTP in the control was higher than in the treatment (P < 0.05). The dominant algae in the control did not change during the experiment, while the dominant algae in the treat¬ment switched to Planktothrix of Cyanophyta on day 9. The chlorophyll a (Chl-a), wet weight of all algae, wet weight of Cyanophyta, and percentage of Cyanophyta in the control were all significantly lower than in the treatment (P < 0.05). Amounts of zooplankton, especially rotifers, were present at the end of the experimental period. The density of rotifers between the control and treatment was not significantly different (P > 0.05), while the copepod density in the treatment was higher than in the control (P < 0.05). We conclude that green algae dominance quickly switches to cyanobacteria dominance after nutrient enrichment in a greenhouse with elevated temperature

Damage analysis of arch dam under blast loading

Xinhua Xue,Xingguo Yang,Wohua Zhang 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2013 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.12 No.1

This paper examines the dynamic response of an arch dam subjected to blast loading. A damage model is developed for three dimensional analysis of arch dams. The modified Drucker-Prager criterion is adopted as the failure criteria of the damage evolution in concrete. Then, Xiluodu arch dam serves as an example to simulate the failure behaviors of structures with the proposed model. The results obtained using the proposed model can reveal the reliability degree of the safe operation level of the high arch dam system as well as the degree of potential failure, providing a reliable basis for risk assessment and risk control

Genetic transformation of wheat: current status and future prospects

        Jiarui Li,Xingguo Ye,Baoyan An,Lipu Du,Huijun Xu 한국식물생명공학회 2012 Plant biotechnology reports Vol.6 No.3

Genetic transformation is a reverse genetics tool for validation of target genes and crop improvement. However, due to its low efficiency and genotype dependency, wheat is considered a recalcitrant plant for genetic transformation. During the last 20 years, various in vitro and in planta transformation methods have been reported in wheat. Until now, biolistic particle and Agrobacteriummediated wheat transformation methods using immature embryos as explants have been the two major transformation approaches. In addition to immature embryos, other explant types, such as mature embryos, anther-derived calli, inflorescences, apical meristems, and other floral organs, have been employed; however, they need further optimization. In addition to the common marker genes, such as bar, hpt and gus, other effective markers, ALS,AtMYB12 and pmi, have been successfully used for selection of positive transgenic plants. Numerous agronomic trait genes such as biotic stress resistance or tolerance genes have been transferred into wheat plants. Future prospects, such as recipient wheat cultivars and explants, marker free issues, and transgene silencing, are discussed. The objective of this review is to summarize current successful techniques for wheat transformation and stimulate further research into long-term wheat improvement by genetic engineering approaches.

An effective method for reducing free fatty acid content of high-acid rice bran oil by enzymatic amidation

Xiaosan Wang,Xingguo Wang,Tong Wang 한국공업화학회 2017 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.48 No.-

An improved method of deacidification of high-acid rice bran oil (HRBO) by an enzymatic amidationreaction between free fatty acids (FFA) and ethanolamine is described in this study. The reactionconditions were optimized to minimize the FFA content of HRBO. Under optimal reaction conditions (2%of Lipozyme 435, about 1:1 mass ratio of oil to solvent and at 76 C), acid value of HRBO was reduced from21.5 to 1.6 mg/g after 4 h reaction. Thefinal oil product was rich in fatty acid ethanolamides (11.9 wt %)which are desirable bioactive lipids. Compared to esterification deacidification using glycerol ormonoacylglycerols (MAG) as acyl acceptor, enzymatic deacidification by amidation can be completed in amuch shorter time because amidation reaction is much more favorable than the esterification. This is thefirst time that ethanolamine is used as acyl acceptor to enzymatically deacidify a high-FFA oil. Such anenzymatic route is highly effective and environmentally desirable.

Feedback control for a turbidostat model with ratio-dependent growth rate

        Xiaoyu Hu,Zuxiong Li,Xingguo Xiang 한국전산응용수학회 2013 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.31 No.3

In this paper, a turbidostat model with ratio-dependent growth rate and impulsive state feedback control is considered. We obtain sufficient conditions of the globally asymptotically stable of the system without impulsive state feedback control. We also obtain that the system with impulsive state feedback control has periodic solution of order one. Sufficient conditions for existence and stability of periodic solution of order one are given. In some cases, it is possible that the system exists periodic solution of order two. Our results show that the control measure is effective and reliable.
