The influence of lateral shock absorber valve parameters on vehicle dynamic performance
Xiao Qian,Li Qinghua,Chang Chao 대한기계학회 2015 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.29 No.5
The shock absorber is important for improving train dynamics characteristics, and its valve parameters determine its performance andalso directly affect the train dynamics characteristics. Hydraulic control model of lateral shock absorber is established by using parametricmodeling method in Easy5, and CRH2 trailer model is constructed in VI-Rail. Calculation result of shock absorber model’s speedcharacteristic is embedded into the vehicle model. The accuracy of the vehicle model is verified by a real track-test, and numerical analysisis done about the influence of various parameters on vehicle dynamics performance. The research results show that critical velocityand stability index increase with the increase of damping aperture and through-flow aperture. One-way valve aperture of bottom valveand one-way valve aperture of piston have little influence on those performance. As spring stiffness increases in the range of 800-2000N/cm, critical velocity increases and stability index decreases, and its influence is little if spring stiffness is beyond this scope. As preloadforce of spring increases in the range of 100-250 N, critical velocity increases and stability index decreases, and its influence is also littleif the preload force of spring is beyond this scope.

Objective: Qingyu pig, a Chinese indigenous pig breed, exhibits two types of coat colour phenotypes, including pure black and white with black spotting respectively. Melanocortin receptor 1 (MC1R) and agouti signaling protein (ASIP) are two widely reported pivotal genes that significantly affect the regulation of coat colour. The objectives of this study were to investigate whether the polymorphisms of these two genes are associated with coat colour and analyze the molecular mechanism of the coat colour separation in Qingyu pig. Methods: We studied the phenotype segregation and used polymerase chain reaction amplification and Sanger sequencing to investigate the polymorphism of MC1R and ASIP in 121 Qingyu pigs, consisting of 115 black and 6 white with black spotted pigs. Results: Coat colour of Qingyu pig is associated with the polymorphisms of MC1R but not ASIP. We only found 2 haplotypes, EQY and Eqy, based on the 13 observed mutations from MC1R gene. Among which, Eqy presented a recessive inheritance mode in black spotted Qingyu pigs. Further analysis revealed a g.462-463CC insertion that caused a frameshift mutation and a premature stop codon, thus changed the first transmembrane domain completely and lost the remaining six transmembrane domains. Altogether, our results strongly support that the variety of Qingyu pig’s coat colour is related to MC1R. Conclusion: Our findings indicated that black coat colour in Qingyu pig was dominant to white with black spotted phenotype and MC1R gene polymorphism was associated with coat colour separation in Qingyu pig.

A series of polyimide (PI) films were prepared through a two-step polycondensation process via chemical imidization using five commercial aromatic dianhydrides and a novel diamine containing an imidazole unit and trifluoromethyl groups, i.e., 4,4'-(((4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole-1,2-diyl)bis(4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy)) bis(3-(trifluoromethyl)aniline) (referred to as diamine 3). The number average molecular weights of the resulting PIs ranged from 1.57 × 104 to 3.17 × 104 g·mol-1 with polydispersity indices between 2.53 and 3.60, which were obtained through gel permeation chromatography measurements using a polystyrene standard. All the PIs prepared using diamine 3 were amorphous because of the large side group and kink structure of the diamine. They are soluble in common high-boiling point solvents, such as N-methyl pyrrolidone, dimethyl acetamide, and m-cresol, as well as several low-boiling point solvents, including chloroform and tetrahydrofuran. They exhibit the thermal stability with 10% weight loss temperatures in the range of 545 to 562 °C and 5% weight loss temperatures in the range of 500 to 541 °C in a nitrogen atmosphere. Their glass transition temperatures exceed 245 °C. All the resulting PI films show transmittances of over 74% in the visible light region ranging from 400 to 760 nm. The tensile strength of the PI films is in the range of 30.1 to 52.8 MPa, while the tensile modulus ranges from 1.0 to 1.7 GPa.

Much attention has been focused on food components that may be beneficial in preventing lifestyle-related diseases. In this study, we investigated the effects of saponins of sea cucumber (SSC) on high-fat diet–induced obesity, insulin resistance, and fatty liver in mice. C57/BL6 mice were fed a high-fat diet, containing 0.03% SSC, or 0.1% SSC for 8 weeks. Both doses of SSC exhibited a weight-loss effect and significantly decreased adipose tissue weight, in both visceral and subcutaneous depots. Furthermore, 0.1% SSC treatment dramatically decreased the hepatic triglyceride and total cholesterol accumulation. Mice administrated with 0.1% SSC had significantly decreased serum glucose and insulin levels, lower homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance index, and area under the blood glucose curve, suggesting that insulin sensitivity is enhanced by dietary SSC. Dietary SSC also prevented adipokine imbalance, by increasing adiponectin production and decreasing tumor necrosis factor alpha level caused by high-fat diet. Overall, these data demonstrate that SSC could improve certain metabolic parameters associated with obesity.

In the recent years, researches in phylogeny and evolution based on the chloroplast genome attracted more and more attentions. The entire chloroplast genome of 13 species of typical core eudicots including Camellia sinensis cv. Longjing 43 was compared to analyze the genetic relationship in this study. 3 different methods were used to buildParsimony method. All the results showed that Longjing 43 and Ardisia polysticta have a closer relationship, with 100% support. Further researches should be done and more factors should be considered in phylogenetic analysis based on the complete chloroplast genome.

This paper shows the verification work of SARAX code system in the reactor core transient calculationbased on the simplified EBR-II Benchmark. The SARAX code system is an analysis package developed byXi'an Jiaotong University and aims at the advanced reactor R&D. In this work, a neutron-photon coupledpower calculation model and a spatial-dependent reactivity feedback model were introduced. To verifythe models used in SARAX, the EBR-II SHRT-45R test was simplified to an ULOF transient with an inputflowrate change curve by fitting from reference. With the neutron-photon coupled power calculationmodel, SARAX gave close results in both power fraction and peak power prediction to the referenceresults. The location of the hottest assembly from SARAX and reference are the same and the relativepower deviation of the hottest assembly is 2.6%. As for transient analysis, compared with experimentalresults and other calculated results, SARAX presents coincident results both in trend and absolute value. The minimum value of core net reactivity during the transient agreed well with the reported results, which ranged from 0.3$ to 0.35$. The results verify the models in SARAX, which are correct and ableto simulate the in-core transient with reliable accuracy.
Dissection of a Singularity: The Impact of COVID-19 on Aviation
Xiaoqian Sun,Sebastian Wandelt,Anming Zhang 인하대학교 정석물류통상연구원 2020 JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS AND TRADE Vol.18 No.3
The current outbreak of COVID-19 is an unprecedented event in air transportation. In this study, we investigate the impact of COVID-19 on global air transportation through the lens of complex networks different at different scales, ranging from worldwide airport networks where airports are nodes and links between airports exist when direct flights exist, to international country networks where countries are contracted as nodes, and to domestic airport networks for representative countries/regions. We focus on the spatial-temporal evolutionary dynamics of COVID-19 in air transportation networks, discovering hidden patterns on flight frequency reduction. Our study provides a comprehensive empirical analysis on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on aviation from a complex system perspective.
